The Strain is FX’s high concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather, former head of the Center for Disease Control, Canary Team in New York City. After he and his team were called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism, Eph and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers waged war for the fate of humanity itself.
As the final season begins, nine months have passed. The world has fallen into darkness, and the strigoi are in control. The explosion at the end of season three triggered a global nuclear apocalypse. The resulting nuclear winter liberated the strigoi allowing them to move about during daytime, and enabling the Master to establish a totalitarian regime. Preying on the fears of the populace, the Master and his minions have created an unsettling alliance in "The Partnership."
The majority of humans are now working for the strigoi, operating with a single understanding - collaborate or die. With the world in disarray and our heroes disbanded, each of them will have to overcome personal hardship and defy death for even the smallest chance at fighting back. All the while, the Master reigns supreme, furthering his scheme for the end of the world as we know it.
In the face of annihilation…do our heroes have what it takes to save humankind?

While watching the series, it is impossible not to fall in love with Quinlan❤
The scene where Quinlan bites Louisa is equal parts disturbing and arousing. LOL Reminds me of the scene In John Carpenter's "Vampires" when the head vamp bites the prostitute. Ultimately, what I love about Quinlan (and kudos to Rupert Penry Jones) is that he's such a badass...but he breaks my heart at the same time.
god this man is freaking gorgeous
Quinn my Quinn!! Someone jus make more of his life. PLEASE!!! Freakn awesomest part of the Strain. And get the same actor to be him 💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗💗
That executive producer looks like a strigoi himself lol.
Same thoughts 😅
Any who likes Quinlan as a vintage character should really watch him acting as Captain Wentworth in Persuasion.
Cool seeing two ex-cast members from the great Black Sails series. Hannah New is gorgeous.
Every episode of this spectacular gem of a show, was splendid.
Quinlan wearing that wig was the funniest thing I've ever seen. Horrible choice hair and makeup department.
Had to look like an amateur did the make-over.
That was literally on purpose. It wasn't supposed to look like an expert from modern day did it, but a woman from that century did it.
Berries? Berries and what else??!?!?!
@@lizkasapos5605That's the problem, it doesn't. Quinlan doesn't stand out simply because of his color, his facial bone structure is different. It's extremely impressive to manage to remove his protruding cheekbones and those folds that goes from the corners of his mouth with just theater makeup. Maybe she's just really good at contouring...
@@rebeccadavila653It looks like a special effects makeup artist or a plastic surgeon did it. They should have kept the prostethics with the protruding angular bones of Quinlan to make it look plausible, with regular skin color.
I'm a immortal hybrid of vampire and lycan I love this movie great show eh
One of the best characters in the series
I Love Quinlan and I Love Rupert
Quinlan vs Blade
Spiritusanto16
Blade can suck it.
I vote Quinlan wins. I like his story more then Blades.
Blade is superior
Would so have Quinlan for my lover and companion ❤️😈
Godly.
Quinlan is papi
Quinlan is hot 🥵
So they changed the backstory of his family and pushes it to victorian era times? Hmm...i like it.
yea thats ok.!! but it would also be nice to see him in the roman impire days.!!
They had that too. Some shots of him in the arena. They just decided to expand on it. Not complaining, love Quinlan.
Quinlan's cool. if all vampires were like him in The Strain, that would be great... the fangs are not in the teeth but hidden in a shorter tongue. and he has no worms and is immune.
the parasite worms in the other vampires are just creepy, but I understand their purpose for the villains --control--infect the humans and while transforming their DNA, bring them under the control of a hive mind. definitely terrifying villain behavior. :/
but again, Quinlan's so cool ... lol. he has no worms in his blood--has a cool tongue--all his soft parts-- can walk in the sun-- and has all his badass vampire powers like speed and strength. his eyes in that human skin color makeup remind me of Forever Knight.
More Quinlan back story is great and all but........ Where is the Master's flashbacks for his origin? I mean seriously, we only have 3 eps left for the final season!! Or are they just not planning on giving him one at all :(
MovieManiac1981 facts
MovieManiac1981 i want to see a flashback where he stung quinlans mom.
g g
what season and episode?
Season 4 episode 5-6.
Should’ve kept to the books, your story sucked by comparison. The essence of the ancients was the story. Show gave zero origin.
Alot of people did not like that the vampires went from being a disease, from being science, to being the dead remains of an angel. It is a bit of tonal clash that goes against the previous books. While I still enjoyed the series it got worse as it went along.
