im a very striaght guy but well into my music, i think G4 are great, but i also have a wierd taste in music also liking eminem, 50 cent, slipknot, and alot of clasical, jazz, blues and rock, oh and the wurzels.lol
(A little late on the reply, but...) Yeah, when I first heard this song I thought of "You Raise Me Up", too. It seems to me like they sang "Danny Boy" to the tune of "You Raise Me Up"...I could be wrong, but that's what it sounds like.
So many negative comments on here, i'm genuanly shocked!! Okay, maybe they did interpret the song differently to the way most people would like/to the origional but i'm pretty sure thats the beauty of music, every song can be interprated differently by every artist and listener.. if you dont like it, dont listen! Obviously, every one has different tastes but some of the comments on here seem a bit harsh.
A in and requires a capital, 'you're' instead of 'your', one question mark is sufficient, and the rhetorical question is un-grammatical. He's got you on grammar.
I didn't say it was a copy. I said it sounds like "You raise me up". Hmmm... Could it possibly be that I meant that Josh Groban "borrowed" the melody? Geez... Can I once post something without somebody biting my head off?
You see???They are fantastic in this song because they get it,the emotion's there, the love for music is there, and their united with their hearts and voices. But in Bohemian Rhapsody it sucked monkey fecies because they took it as a joke.5 stars lol.
The first singer's too nasaly...he kind of swallows his words. I definitely agree with most people here...this peice was not meant for their style. It's so much better with an operatic tenor and vibrato.
this is a beautiful irish song that i love they ruined it by rocking it out to make it sound like "you raise me up" absolutly terible sory boys keep singing but not danny boy
Bland, manufactured silage. Lacking in any authenticity and musical worth. As I've said before about this group of pipsqueaks, it sounds like the fart that dribbled down my leg after 10 pints of lager and a chicken vindaloo. Why don't you do yourself a favour. If you really appreciate classical music, ditch Classic FM and move to Radio 3. You'll thank me in the long term.
I keep expecting them to start singing you raise me up
so beautiful i like the voices they are very touching
I love this song on the Act Three Album - they sing it beautifully.
I feel sorry for these guys. They are among the biggest-selling artists from The X Factor, yet the show now acts like they never existed.
my favourite rendering of danny boy lads you are great redditch col

Is it just me or does this sound very similar to Josh Groban's You raise me up?
No, actually this is an old irish song invented far before el divo and whatnot

They have butchered every song they have touched, this is a disgrace and disrespects what is normally a great song
