Not only is this fine musically, but it is fine theologically. we should never lose sight of our hope in Jesus Christ. We are saved by God, not some theory or program. The joy is that he is there for us now and is graciously preparing a place for us when we die and are with him forever. SDG
it was my first time back in church on sunday after many weeks housebound with deep depression. i couldn't listen to music at all in those awful weeks. but on sunday they sang this wonderful song. hope that lifts my head and my heart. i'm probably going to lose my job as i can't manage it any more, i am disappointed and frustrated by my long-term ilness, but there is a hope!
To see the matchless beauty of a day divine When I behold His face! When sufferings cease and sorrows die, And every longing satisfied. Then joy unspeakable will flood my soul, For I am truly home. Amen
What an inspirational song. My parents died of cancer and now my husband is being treated with Advanced prostrate cancer . My best friend s husband died of prostrate cancer 3 years ago and attended her daughter’s wedding without him last week. We need hope so much. Pola Bevan
This song has brought me through some very tough times. I accompanied a choir singing it the semester my mother in law passed away. Sometimes when things are tough, I can only sing the first line: “There is a hope” before starting to weep. But the message carries me through. I’m sure other people feel this way as well, but at times I feel God sent this message just for me. Thanks for being willing vessels to bring this hope to people who truly need it!
There is a hope that burns within my heart, That gives me strength for ev'ry passing day; a glimpse of glory now revealed in meager part, Yet drives all doubt away: I stand in Christ, with sins forgiv'n; and Christ in me, the hope of heav'n! My highest calling and my deepest joy, to make His will my home. There is a hope that lifts my weary head, A consolation strong against despair, That when the world has plunged me in its deepest pit, I find the Savior there! Through present sufferings, future's fear, He whispers, "Courage!" in my ear. For I am safe in everlasting arms, And they will lead me home. There is a hope that stands the test of time, That lifts my eyes beyond the beckoning grave, To see the matchless beauty of a day divine When I behold His face! When sufferings cease and sorrows die, and every longing satisfied, then joy unspeakable will flood my soul, For I am truly home.
I am amazed that Jesus loves me no matter if I have drunk 1 glass of wine or 2 bottles of wine I am amaze of his love for me whatevr I do but that doesn't give me a free and to do what I please! I am still REPENTANT for what sin I have commited !! Thank you JESUS for your almighty forgiveness and NOTHING is beneath your everlasting arms thru' your forgiveness Thank you Jesus Amen

Thank you, Stuart Townend, for allowing God to flow through you again and again in such beautiful songs of praise....words of praise to our precious Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who alone is the hope for a lost and dying world.
There is a hope that lifts my weary head, A consolation strong against despair, That when the world has plunged me in its deepest pit, I find the Savior there! this song has moved my spirit i am weeping like a baby praise be to our god what would have become of us had we not had jesus our saviour to rescue us from everlastibg destruction . our joy is in the hope that we have in him AMEN
to be truly home with Jesus...ah to be free of the sufferings of this world! The most we can do is live to share God's love with everyone who comes into contact with us and be faithful to Christ. This song is blessed!
6:30am 22.12.23. The constant hope of Him, expressed through this song helped me after my husband's death 13 years ago and is now helping me as I journey with my daughter through separation from her husband of 15 years. Bless God for his constant and abiding presence.
Timely reminder in a troubled world. This video was uploaded four years ago...but God and Jesus Christ surpass all passing of time. Thanking God today for believers like Stuart Townsend who serve to give others hope. Having hope is to have a positive mind picture of something you desire to see come to pass, seeing it as come to pass...before it physically does. God says this kind of believing WILL come to pass.
I have this song in an endless loop. I chanced on it this evening through the miraculous work of GOD at work in UA-cam's algorithm suggesting what I would like. It found a way of reaching deep within at a time when all hope seems lost. It inspires me. It soothes me. It reassures me of the certainty of the hope I have in GOD through Christ. Thank you, Stuart Townend and your team. Thank you, UA-cam (Google). Thank you, GOD. 🙏
Dear Darwin, I have been fighting anxiety for some time too and I understand how you feel. I think that your searching of 'there is hope' is the first step towards overcoming your anxiety and depression. May it comfort you that God will always be there for us; He is the same yesterday, today and forever. May we cast our burdens on Him, and trust that things will be fine. Will pray for you. :)
A song that points us so beautifully and powerfully to our great and unspeakable hope of the day when our light and monetary troubles are swallowed up by the eternal glory that will far outweigh them all and every tear shall be wiped from our eyes. A song that allows us to face the reality of our present pain and broken hearts but bathes them in the light of the coming glory of the day when we shall see His face and all will be well and all restored.
Stuart Townend is like a beautiful refreshing breath of air in the contemporary Christian music scene. Not only are his melodies hauntingly beautiful, his lyrics are meaningful and theologically deep and Christ-centered. This is a change from the usual charismatic pop star singing repetitious phrases which throw everyone into a trance. Thank you, Stuart.

Last night at church, our worship group played this song, just before the preaching, and for a few seconds, I stood there as if in a trance, barely able to move, or for that matter see for tears. Never having heard it before, I was just numb, stunned; it touched me that much. What an unutterably lovely song this is. Some of the greatest music being written today is Christian music, that's what I think.
I have had the privilege of seeing Stuart very recently and he sang this song - along with others. His talent and creativity humbles me - a gift from God.
With wet eyes I breathed out "Praise God" at the end of the video. I bless God for the hope we indeed have in Jesus. Thanks for posting the video. It will bless many a heart. Thanks Chris

I translate this song into chinese (cantonese).
Through Jesus Christ, all things are possible!
I want this sung at my funeral...

So what I'm saying is I understand the meanings of their comments. It's not a pharisee doctrinal witch-hunt, but the practice of identifying who is adding and subtracting from the Word of God (Revelation 22:20, paraphrased).
