Porzak for Nobel Prize in Golf Instructions. He simplifies the golf swing, and continuallly encouraged this students, and the classes show the effectiveness with a student, not with a pro. I spent 1 year , 1 lesson per week, of lessons with a local PGA , and found myself confused , hit fat shots, and the handicap never changed or even was worse. A good teacher is not so much about how far he hits , but how well he can simplify the swing methodology and presents a model that a student can execute, long after the lessons.

One of the things I love about your teaching methods are the little visual nuggets you use in your explanations. For example, I wasn't processing the technique to "set the club," but it all crystalized when you said "pushing a beach ball below the level of the water and using downward pressure with the lead hand." Bingo, I instantly got it. That was the nugget I needed. Thank you!
Adam's knowledge of the mechanics is mind-blowing!. I absolutely have to make my way to San Diego to get a lesson like this one, it will be a game changer for me!
We love your enthusiasm for the game of golf and the people you work with……..we feel that even as UTube watchers. Which is why you are the best on the internet.
Implementing this into my swing has made me a much more consistent ball striker. I'm basically a year into this golf addiction, and have grown leaps and bounds with the advice from your page!
This video is what I needed! I just started lessons not having ever played the game, @ age 52! Your simplicity in explaining feels to drills is awesome! Please come to the Philly area for some tutorials!
WTF!! This was freaking magic! Keeping my hand low with more hinge was what I have been missing for the last Ten years. My game has improved from upper 80s lower 90s to lower 80s. Finally have a chance to break 80! Thanks for the awesome teaching video! Hopefully this method works for the driver.
I see stack & tilt concepts in Porzak's videos. For example a principle S&T idea is "weight forward, hands low". Weight forward is the hip bump . Hands low is as seen in this youtube. Seems like S&T is becoming more mainstream, just not being billed as such and slightly modified.
Except hands low isn’t a thing in s&t and hands in serves a different function. The only thing I see in common is the lack of a recentering move. I don’t see Porzak advocate stacking, hands in, arms straight or hips tucked.
I used to slide also. Played baseball all throughout my youth. I’m 43 now. If you slide, you will hav to be in sync in order to get the face back to square at impact. I’ve been practicing the turn and the difference is amazing
Hi Adam, I love your videos and channel. Ive been implementing your teachings, and they work great, but I find myself hitting more towards the toe of the club. How can I correct that?
Record yourself. For most amatuers, toes shots come from early extension in the downswing. We have a few Early Extension videos that would help you out!
Hi. In couple of your awesome tutorial videos that mentioned 70%/30% weight distribution, do you mean 70% weight at the front of the feet and 30% weight at the back of the feet?
I notice your lead wrist angle is cupped on the iron. How important is that wrist angle in all of the clubs, driver included? I notice if I cup that wrist , I open the face and cause a fade or slice with driver and long irons. Interested in your comments on this!
@@PorzakGolf it was a drill from another site where I placed all my weight on the lead side to hit balls. Trying to fix a backswing sway and lack of shift through the ball. Made me feel what it’s like to pivot in the backswing and get through the ball. However, I think I’m over cooking because now I found myself steep in the downswing. I think I lost width with the pivot sensation…work in progress!
I get stuck on holding the clubface closed too long in fear of opening the face vs doing it naturally. Any point in which from P2 to up the back of the left hand is either facing the ball or outwards?>
Subscribed. I really like your instruction methods ! FEEDBACK : Student is wonderful but I think his swing path is too zeroed. This often leads to army golf days as the timing has to be spot on. This also gets you the aggravation of good days and bad days - due to being 'off' just a little. Guy was already starting to pull left. If you pause at 3:30 MIN mark you will see a steep swing and too close to the ball. This can lead to early extension disease. Keeps students coming back ... Maybe we're all better off with the cushion of 5-10 degrees in to out swing path. Nicklaus won 18 majors by eliminating one side of the fairway. He could trust getting his swing path down and consistent better than others. Same with Hogan. Physics - the plane of the swing is better when offset - mass is forced outward.
Most all your videos and learn so much. However by trying not to take hands too far inside, I tend to push them outside my toe line. Would this be a cause of less turn and thus hitting pulls as a result of being outside to start?
I’m not Porzak, but it’s possible that you pushing the hands outside could be a SYMPTOM of less turn, not a cause. It’s worth checking that you’re still turning and loading into your trail hip during the takeaway, if you’re only turning your torso and your hips are staying still, that will cause your hand path to lose its relationship with the body. Watch adam’s takeaway demos in this vid, he’s loading and turning into his trail hip during the takeaway.
@@Longarmshortarm possible. I feel as I'm loading the hip, but I think I have mistakingly been thinking and taking hands out, rather than just clubhead
Imo the best coaching on YT. This is coming from a man who like many many of us watches too much golf content!!!

Very nice to watch a lesson with an amateur. Way better to relate to. Can you please do this more? Greetings from The Netherlands!

What a great visual of pushing the beach ball under the water. Fantastic swing thought!
Please don't get me wrong I love watching the young bucks and ladies saying this it was refreshing for me to see someone more in my age group.

Thanks for showing someone my age! I've played 10 years, his swing is way better than mine.
Great golf channel. Thanx for sharing, I learn so much 👍🏻

Love this drill. Sometimes find myself hitting a little behind the ball though. Any insight on how to improve the low point?
Any tips or videos to help with a pull draw/hook?
Such a great lesson 🙏
Love this - can you address the hip bump to start the downswing as it relates to your setup “bump”
Thx for all your vid’s!!

Not Stack and Tilt at all. Adam sets into his right leg on the backswing, S&T does not.

Should we maintain the low hands in long clubs too?
And the wrist angle set ?

Definitely, my hands are too high!😅
Great!
Love the channel, Thanks so much for sharing. At what point in the takeaway/backswing do you start to put the pressure down (beachball).
Right away. But at the same rate as the left shoulder moves (left shoulder puts the pressure into the handle)
@@TH-81-MOOSEgreat, thanks
Is the driver swing the same?
Hey, do you ever recommend a hover across all shots?
Just feel like I flush the ball more when using a slight hover.
Thanks for any available advice.
Ernie Els, in his book how to build a classic swing, also says keep the right knee flexed and don’t straighten in the slightest.

Stack and tilt!
I have never tried to actually set my wrists. I just let the weight of the club do it naturally. I feel like that is the best way to do it.
Same if I set me wrist then my direction turns to a straight pull.
