"Best CliftonStrengths / StrengthsFinder Strengths to have" is relative. No matter what your results are, they still need to be developed. I love hearing about everyone's particular results mix and how they use them. What are your Top 5, and what's the Best Quality you love about you?
My Top 5 are: Connectedness, Relator, Belief, Responsibility, and Adaptability. And I've come to appreciate how I'm always tying everything to the bigger picture (Connectedness). It makes it easier to focus on what matters - or more importantly, what I choose to matter.

connectedness is also #1 for me, i guess that may explain why we have the same opinion on the topic. at least from my experience, most people don't have this trait..
i don't have the most common strengths as my top 5, but discipline is in my top 5, which is a least common strength. personally, i think the ideal top 5 should be foundational skills - like discipline (#4 for me), self assurance (#16 for me), intellection (#2 for me). without these skills it's more challenging to build other skills.... but i could be biased.

Hi 👋🏼 and thank you for your thoughtful comment. Yes, we do have Connectedness in common, but it sounds like our other results likely differ.
And yes, I do believe our results bias our perspective. I have Adaptability in my Top 5 so I can’t imagine having a high Discipline theme. However, luckily I have Responsibility in my Top 5 (and Achiever & Maximizer in my Top 10) so it helps me ensure to get things done - just using different Talent Themes.
Our Talent Themes influence how we see and value things. And that’s the beauty…. We can get to the same outcomes using different approaches and themes.
Thank you again for your comment!

Thank you for leaving a comment. However, I’m not sure what you’re asking. Per the introduction and the body of the video, I discuss that “best” is subjective. So, it really depends on what you mean. I tackle the answer from a few different perspectives in the video.

you know, it’s interesting… I wonder if the people who are asking about the best, Strank’s, and considering strengths as weaknesses… Are those folks who have restorative in their top talent?
I ask because it’s someone who has restorative, that’s how I think.
for someone who has restorative, I constantly look for problems (mainly the problems that are keeping me from the next level of success), and then I seek to solve them. But on a relational level, always looking for relational problems can create a culture of shame , and not enough Ness.
anyways, just some thoughts after thinking about your video
(this is my intellection coming out. lol)

I love how you’re still thinking about the content, Jared! That’s the intent - to keep us thinking about Talents and Strengths beyond just passively watching a video.
I can’t say for sure which Talent Themes these folks have. Sometimes, the question just comes from people whose results I don’t know. Either way, I don’t like to generalize. I can see this question coming from Restorative (my #34), but I can also see it coming from Themes like Analytical, or Competition. There are so many angles as to why someone would want to know. If I had to speculate, I wonder if Individuality would least be likely to ask since they value each person’s uniqueness.
You’re right. Overusing Talents & Strengths contributes to Weaknesses. That’s why it’s so important to learn to direct our Talents intentionally at the right time and place, instead of on autopilot.
Thanks for commenting and sharing some of your thoughts, Jared.
