Vacuum Filtration or Sucction Ffiltration. Kitasato and Büchner Funnel

The system of vacuum filtration or suction filtration is faster and more efficient than the gravity filtration.
It is used a flask similar to an Erlenmeyer, but with a lateral outlet, known as Kitasato, Büchner flask or filtering flask. It has thick walls in order to stand the atmospheric pressure and avoid imploding. At its mout is connected a Büchner funnel with a filter paper and the substance we want to filter. Applying vacuum to the outlet with a vacuum pump the suction filtration begins.
I am going to mix copper sulfate (CuSO4) with sodium hydroxide (NaOH) in aquous medium and copper hydroxide (Cu(OH)2) will precipitate and sodium sulfate (NaSO4) will be dissolved in the water. With the help of the vacuum filtration system I will separate the copper hydroxide precipitate.
