I know that talking during games can cost you a few points here and there, but also helped me (and i suppose many more) understand chess in a much deeper level, so, thanks a lot.
1:11:16 "there might be mates now" and in fact u missed the mate with Rb8+ it's funny cuz u just mentioned it.Btw very well played it happens to all of us we miss forks, mates, skewers and all that stuff.
taking seriously man, without double meaning, irony nothing like that at all. my rating is around 1650 - 1750 5min usually play in work place, much question noises etc. for classic 15 i rate 1750 - 1850 both lichess ratings. i've been struggling to improve. and from books, games, vids you are the most resourceful opition. why? because the way you speak is for normal people, not hyper developed chess genius brains. you go straight to the point, with few words, and calmly transmitting confidence. even when u make silence, teaches correct time to think. and we think with you. the questions you ask yourself stick in my brain. for example u used 3 expressions i can remenber. 1. sneak over, 2. spare a square, 3. looking for better cash back, fork and a half. we are not machines so ideias are the way to improve. that's where u get in, helping a lot, me at least to be less incompetent. you share greats ideas in seconds, instead of reading huges books to get few ideas from it. saves a lot of time. u get what i mean? tnx the the good work
It's frustrating and comforting at the same time to know that someone who knows the opponent's next 17 moves before he does and plans it all out in a traffic jam of green arrows... can still accidentally give away his Queen and lose games because of silly mistakes. Makes him seem more human and his skill level seem more attainable.
At 20:42 white had Rxe4, instead of Nxe4. If black takes the rook with dxe4, then white has Qxf7+, which is a bit dangerous. Or even Nxf7, attacking the queen and threatening a discovery.
Cool. That's nice to know. You can feel the fear and excitement in Jerry's voice everytime he gets paired. Good to know he is playing against a GrandMaster.
2:37 should jave done bxf6 then the pawn would Take, he would have a damaged pawn structure, and he cannot go qxf6 cux of nxd7 and then that game over.
1) Find an opening for white and black and study its variations so you have a good foundation to start out with. 2) Do tactic puzzles!!! Lichess has them under the Learn tap and then click training. This will help you to learn immensely. 3) Watch other people better than you play chess an pick up their ideas (you are doing that now). 4) Play people better than you and REVIEW your games first thinking how you could improve then following up with a chess program to see what it sees.
Ichigo Kurosaki Blackpawn is right and most important one is Analyzing your games or different ideas to see how computer rates the moves , always try different strategies and learn if they are good or not, or go deeper variations if u dont understand why it is the best move
30:45-31:30 stream snipe? :P After you say “this knight is out of the ballgame” he moves the knight towards the king twice instead of making some sensible move.
A lot of it is language-level thinking at this level, I believe. He can see the moves so clearly that it's like talking. you don't have to think of each individual letter in a word, you just kinda have at it.
Anyone else wondering, why it is always that everyone is blundering against you when you are 2500 rated, but everyone is playing without any mistakes when you are averagely rated?

"not a square to spare"
and for another quote
"you're the best, Jerry, the best!"

cringe to watch
lmao yup
Aww heh I was just about to post this and scrolled down a bit and saw it myself. Guess I'm a year late.

you play really well and explain thought process. I can't believe you are self taught, well done man.

The longest a chessnetwork video, the better.
It's winter here and somebody is outside weed whacking 32:58 lol
27:20 "What can you do?! Get back on the horse." Hahaha love your commentary Jerry!
I love that at 1:11:15 He said "there might be mates" as he misses back rank mate in 3
Still love you Jerry
really love these videos
i like the way you verbalise your thought process, really helps me to understand what's going on in your high level brain

he isnt talking. he is meditating
1:39:04, Jerry and his queen trades. I would have took the free rook lol
I came to write the same but after 1 and half hour of chess I don't know if I would be able to spot the free piece
Man, you understand chess so so well. amazing

Even Magnus Carlsen blunders his queen in fast games sometimes. You just don't always see everything.
Jerry, I'm always so happy when I see a super long video from you!
It's a treat to watch you play and hear you think.
1:11:15 you could do Rb8+ instead of improving your king's position.
still Good Video :D
1:11:10 Though many people already mentioned it, I can't help to laugh too.)
I like your videos before I watch them because i how much I like your previous series
1:39:04
why not take the rook on b8?
new viewer. really like this guy. has a calming voice
same here. found him a week ago :)
At 20:42 white had Rxe4, instead of Nxe4. If black takes the rook with dxe4, then white has Qxf7+, which is a bit dangerous. Or even Nxf7, attacking the queen and threatening a discovery.
2:32:19, no, you wouldn't have got matted since you have the bishop to block, but it would be a bad ending.
at 1:09:10, is Rb8 not winning material with the double attack on the queen?
Amir Bazazi Qxb8
d'oh. i'm blind
1:11:10 Right as you say it :)
3 hours of Jerry playing chess is all I needed today :)
1:46:20 Rg3 check, and then win some pawns or better with discovered attacks.
You make your content pretty funny and exciting! Thanks for your work :).
Love Yasser, great quote BABY!
3 hours video! What a treat!
2:40:50 why not place knight on c6 hitting the queen then take the knight on c4
That hero King with a fork, fantastic!
1:11:10 you explain how would lead to mate and a second later you missed Rb8+ mate in one!! lol
Because he edits it
I love these videos
👍
1:11:16 - You're saying there's mating ideas and you miss the mate in 3?
16:46 why didn't you simply take the rook ? am I missing something there ?
17:54 sorry made that comment a bit too early lol
You're a beast mode boss, Jerry!
How do you get 3 and 5 points instead of 2 and 4?
at 1:39:05 instead of the queen exchange, couldn't white have just won a free rook with Qd6>b8?
Nice vid but I confess to the preference of hearing the site sounds for moves, captures, and checks
Jerry used this position 2:30:24 as an example in his Beginner to Chessmaster series - Good Bishop and Bad Bishop
1:38:52 what's wrong with QxR? Looks outright winning
"Lance5500 the beast" must be some high-ranked player. Any idea who he is?
GM Maurice Ashley.
Cool. That's nice to know. You can feel the fear and excitement in Jerry's voice everytime he gets paired. Good to know he is playing against a GrandMaster.
it's not maurice. lance is russian but i believe no one knows who it is.
lol it's not Maurice haha
@@IndigoBassNotes idiot aren't you , lance is Russian
In the spirit of the new Beginner to Chess Master video, why not exchange your bad bishop for opponent's good bishop at 23:20?
"Do I like milk? Yes, I do." Ahhhh Twitch chat. What glorious moments you bring.
Where's the streams? Haven't seen you for a while.
What happened to the beginner to chess master videos??
2:54:51 How does the pawn take on the empty b3 square after white's c pawn moves to b4?
"It was hot here the other week - 75-ish." That's winter for us in FL xD
1:11:15 there might be mates now, does not go for the backrank mate xD
what does it mean that people have "resubbed for x months"?
2:37 should jave done bxf6 then the pawn would Take, he would have a damaged pawn structure, and he cannot go qxf6 cux of nxd7 and then that game over.
Your tactics are insane bro, I tried it and won many games
1:53:59 what on Kg7?
The 3 Min Blitz Tournys are my favorite :-)
You are my favorite chess player ❤️ 😘
how does your brain think so fast? what do u think is the best way to improve in chess?
1) Find an opening for white and black and study its variations so you have a good foundation to start out with. 2) Do tactic puzzles!!! Lichess has them under the Learn tap and then click training. This will help you to learn immensely. 3) Watch other people better than you play chess an pick up their ideas (you are doing that now). 4) Play people better than you and REVIEW your games first thinking how you could improve then following up with a chess program to see what it sees.
BlackPawnMartyr chess thanks

OliverWhite has been marked as a cheater.
why? what happened
At 6:22 if he took the bishop with his knight and played g4 after he would be up 2 points
I think at 24:55 you could win a pawn with Nxa4.
Anyone think of 'The Guess Who' when Jerry says 'no time'?
is the last hour lagging for anyone else?
I have no idea why but I could not stop laughing at 32:57
+Thatguyovertherechil Just a lil weed wacking...in the winter. No big deal. :)
beast move 1:10:23 !!!!!!! LOVE FROM CHINA/SWEDAN/FINLAND
I don't know if I've ever heard you clap haha! Well done...
1:39:04
You had Qxb8
the rook is free
Killian Defaoite I was just going to say that. Thanks
A little late to the party. He had that earlier winning the exchange @1:38:52
30:45-31:30 stream snipe? :P
After you say “this knight is out of the ballgame” he moves the knight towards the king twice instead of making some sensible move.
Hey, i was wondering what to do for the next 3 hours and here you are... ;)
Hey jerry it's me AGAIN KEEP UP the good work
how can you think so fast? This is just crazy. Now I am wondering about Magnus Carlson's speed.
A lot of it is language-level thinking at this level, I believe. He can see the moves so clearly that it's like talking. you don't have to think of each individual letter in a word, you just kinda have at it.
no lo hemos llevado a cabo por ello disrruptivo sensibilizó jjosc
No matter, you still my hero. Go on Jerry!!
black has a bad bishop and if he moves his pawn to b5 then he lost.
Why are there so many dislikes compared to the other blitz tournaments? Who is butthurt by this video
Some very smart chess :0 :)
