I prebooked 4 trips when i bought my pass (it was their current deal), 5 months before my 1st trip it was canceled, 3 months out another was canceled, 2 months out the 3rd was canceled. The one trip I did take all 4 flights were almost 2 hours late and one of the flights was canceled (i was in a different city than I live and had to spend 2 nights in the airport). Its rough! I could have drivem the 36 hours and got myself across the country earlier. I also had to pay for a flight to get home because i was so late getting to my destination i could not make my return flight. Oh and i bought TakeOff luggage 4th trip the anchor point for the wheel broke (not the replaceable wheel).
Caution, everyone… I had a great experience with the summer pass with getting flights that were 2 to 6 hours maxed no matter where I was going live in a hub and now to the same cities, I have to fly to the from the West Coast to the East Coast in order to get to the Midwest adding 8-12 hrs to my flight…. Sometimes 20 hours! frontier has changed all of their flight availability and how they schedule their flights and it is not what it seems to be cautious! I just wanted to fly from San Antonio to Houston, and I had to go all the way to Orlando just to get back to Houston from San Antonio…
That and the planes they're using for these flights have gone down. Ive taken 3 flights already this month and every single flight had a delay because something needed maitenance. Its a bit daunting when you have connections too
You can ONLY book the day before for domestic travel. 😮 We’re questioning our purchase now. You can’t plan anything for certain (hotels, cars), especially if the flight is then fully booked, you’re screwed.
My wife and I have been delayed on frontier flights on the last 7 flights we have had, but we continue to book due to the low fares. Some for departures, but mostly on arrival we have not been permitted to get off the plane. The last one was for 90 minutes, and they always say they are waiting on paperwork for a “mechanical “ issue just seems odd.
Thanks for the breakdown. I saw that they had the go wild for $499 for Black Friday and while I did not purchase it since I do not have the funds for that but if they have a similar price next year on Black Friday I will because I want to travel more and this seems like great deal all things considered
I have the passes also and it is GREAT! The date you were trying to book in this example was on the blackout date list. 7/9 :) I also have to agree that the weekdays are definitely easier. The biggest downside I have to say so far about having the pass is knowing what cities your hometown flies to in order to connect to other airports. I fly to SLC from DFW a lot. In order to get there SLC only connects to PHX, DEN and LAS. Just take a look at their info on where and how they fly before making the leap. One more thing...Knowing there are not direct flights for my frequent locations. You can also research and book the connections individually. I was flying before 7/4 so it was busy. I ended up booking DFW to LAS at regular price, ~$50 versus the $15 airport fee, and then the LAS to SLC with the pass. Still a great deal for travel around a major holiday in the summer.
@@TrippinWithJay thanks for the video. quick question. So when flying internationally with the $299 pass are we allowed to book our departure and returning in the same transaction or are we required to book our flights separately?

So will any of the flights be $74 to Cancun as long as they are available? For example if you book the day before or 5 days in advance will it still be $74. Or in other words would $74 be the total for taxes and fees for any flight from the U.S to Cancun? I just booked my 1st flight using the fall/winter pass. From Dallas to San Diego 4 days from now. I thought I'd have to wait a couple days to book it but it allowed me to do it. I dont know if $68 was a good price for a 1 way ticket, but it was the only direct flight & I didnt want to risk losing it. IDK if I spent more by booking more than 1 day early. Go to Frontiers city to city page to see where direct flights are. I'm from Dallas area too and Dallas has 20 direct flight locations! Outside of direct flights, you are looking at long layovers. Watch those baggage fees though
What was the opportunity cost though? DFW savings are likely lost to the cost of a carry on, CAN lost to the cost of a carry on and and 2 bags that you would have gotten free on other low cost airlines like southwest or JetBlue.

The pass is garbage. It takes two days to fly to California from Maryland. If you buy it beware. I checked for random flights to anywhere just anywhere. No luck. Once you factor in staying in hotels for six hours on a layover and missing your flight or having flights in and no flights leaving out this pass is for you.

The prices you pay when you book are the airport fees that you pay no matter how you book. Most domestic airports are $10-$20. Depending on how many airports you go through, that is where the extra cost comes from. $300 plus that for 6 months of travel is still a good deal. :)

Its not for everyone for sure.. One thing I would say to those who hasnt taken Frontier is, coz its low cost, loads of low life people are in the flight.. bear this in mind !! I have had flight with literally a black guy with a baby crawling all over me !! and I even asked attendance to move me or him, but they didnt !! I saw my flight from Philly to Boston was $25. $5 ticket, $20 in taxes. Does that mean I'd still be paying the 20 for my flight with this pass?
Yes, only the fare is discounted with the pass and CIC charge removed as well
I got the fall/winter pass at 299 a few weeks ago, but now it won't even let me go past August to start booking, what am I doing wrong....
the have opened advanced booking, so try again, also, your route may be at capacity for go wild tickets
i just got the year long pass for black friday for 499 and its good until 5/25 so i get 1 1/2 years out of the deal for 500 bucks!!!
Wonderful! It’s a heck of a deal at $499
It starts in may i think.
@@fuifua nope. If you sign up now before black friday, it's good starting now until may 2025
I only know because I just landed from my first flight.
And you only pay taxes and carry on if needed?
Do i have to get separate passes for me & my 10 year old son?
Did you find an answer?
What are the days or those windows when you can use or select the prebooking?
Your definition Of flexible and mine are two different things. Based on comments sound like you sit more than fly.
People complain about everything
True, you cannot satisfy everyone
I'm in denver it might be worth it
Denver is definitely worth the purchase
Frontier made me miss my mom's funeral.
😮OMG Noooooo
Whats good? My guy
If this is who I think it is, what’s good O, how are you man?
Will you renew at $2000?
Nope, not worth it in my personal situation
They have offered summer renewals at the same discounted price so I'm expecting it to be discounted.
So I can’t book a round trip it has to be a one way correct?
Correct. One way booking only. And within 24 hours of desired flight.
@@robseibertgulfcoastrealest3243 not wihin 24 hours, no. I can book flights departing all day Sunday after the midnight between Friday night / Saturday morning, Not sure if the calendar day before go wild availability triggers based on departing local time/ date , or Frontier HQ, but because its listed/sold on based on local time, id guess local time.
Wait so you can only buy passes the day before lol
With the pass purchased, domestic tickets have to be purchased one day before departure. International tickets can be purchased 10 days before departure
Get elite status brother and I can help you get it.
Hit me up if you come to Detroit
Haha I was just there this past weekend

The pass is garbage. It takes two days to fly to California from Maryland. If you buy it beware. I checked for random flights to anywhere just anywhere. No luck. Once you factor in staying in hotels for six hours on a layover and missing your flight or having flights in and no flights leaving out this pass is for you.
Nice video. Garbage Airline tho !
Both those statements are facts 😂
So if I get this pass … would I be able to get home ? 😅
“Eventually”
Ha! You know it's Frontier, right?
yes! just shop the date before departing for home, check after midnight if you stay up two nights prior.
and then if you ideal depart date isn't there, you can just look at the current day, the one before your ideal depart date, ie the day that just began for availibility
(bc you stayed up past midnight)
Do not buy if you live in Texas. Total trash. I want my money back still haven’t been able to use my so called yearly pass. Flights are rarely available to and from a place from Texas.
tech capital of the world rn, so lots of people with the income to WFH across the world. not Orlando or Vegas, the two Frontier bases, and far from them bc not on either coast. Works well for me in DE
This airline pass sucks 🤦🏻
Not point to get pass , ticket should be 0 its scam
Agreed, thought it was free flights once you got the pass
The prices you pay when you book are the airport fees that you pay no matter how you book. Most domestic airports are $10-$20. Depending on how many airports you go through, that is where the extra cost comes from. $300 plus that for 6 months of travel is still a good deal. :)
@@coryn4474 agreed’
Thanks for polluting the earth with your reckless behavior
ITS A SCAM period.
lol its not if you have the flexibility to book day before and wait for availability ie depart weekdays. yes, esp with this pass, and M-F workers, Friday thru Sunday , or even sat Sunday, trips will probably sell out near midnight if one of the airports is popular
@@windrunner27 my friend chris is single has a flexible schedule all the above, COULD NOT USE HIS PASS ONCE. He’s the one at the beginning who talked me into buying them for my family of four. We basically set 2000$ on fire. We were NEVER able to book a flight. The one time I attempted to use it they kicked me and forced me to buy a ticket for 600$ at the gate. Not to mention when i booked it the online website said “congratulations you saved 36$ by booking with your Gowild to insure your seat isn’t given to another passenger pay 39$” i was like no thats scammy I didn’t save anything if i do that….Boom that 3$ loss cost me 600$ instead ITS A SCAM. And someone should go to jail for abusing hard working people like this.
My pass activates this May, I'm interested in finding out how you find and use the "booking windows" . also - anyone know if they consider Puerto Rico "international? seeing as how its a US territory?
The Go Wild Pass main page typically announces them, but it’s a good idea to join the go wild pass holder Facebook group to get the latest updates. Puerto Rico is considered domestic travel and i believe the 24-hour rule applies to booking unfortunately :(
its boon for remote workers and old retires. I have bought and used this pass and flew over 40 flights in past 4 months !! Mostly coz I was home locked during covid times and took this as a revenge vacation.. There were times, when I flew 2 roundtrips ( with a transit in between ), literally used it like airline employee and got sick of flying, I think its worth as long as you got time and patience.
Frontier is very well known to cancel flights at last moment !! I think now my passion for flying is kinda fade down.. but I do Thank Frontier for saving 1-2K for all these travels !!
This is a big thing which makes or break your vacation mood altogether !!
What does him being black have to do with it ... That detail could easily have been left out. The slight racism might be the reason they left you on that seat and well deserved
@@illumitali Well I dont like em, and I a def not Woke to let em crawl all over me
You need to take this comment down. You couldn't have said a guy and a baby? Btw I am not black but your comment rubs one the wrong way
