really? did you watch past the intro? the most boringly cut vlog i've seen on Jon's channel, unfortunately. they said they gonna fly to Copenhagen, yet another 5 minutes of the video was how the stumbled around airport with zero concise b roll or talk
Andreas took the vlog to another level in quality and highlights but Benjamin seems more down to earth and he makes the vlog funnier. Work with both.

I think that Andreas is very good at editing the vlogs but I do believe that Benjamin is alot better at interacting with both you and the audience like Marcus was :-) Just my opinion on your choices for Team Overkill ;-)

who else misses marcus as much as I do? I think the vlogs are still incredible, but I got so used to hearing from marcus and jon everyday. Marcus was such a funny guy and his sense of humor has made the vlogs amazing!! WE MISS U MARCUS

Benjamin really killed it on this one. Feel like you two get along really well and he does an a,aging job edging. Music, transitions, attitude, everything was wonderful. Very refreshing

People need to realize Andreas hasn't had a real chance to be a part of the vlog so stop acting like he's awkward and sucks - he's also much younger and probably a little intimidated by people wanting Marcus back - look his 1st week in Canada they explained he was always editing - then in LA they (Jon) kinda left him out of everything (I think having Warner around was annoying and took away from us getting to see more of Andreas) and then in Monaco he basically left to do his thing like the following day. His editing is on fire - give the boy a chance!!

When I saw Andreas, my first thought was that he will be really good fit in the team, because he seems layed back, witty and very interesting, and as you said he still didn`t get the chance to interact more with them.Here people see a guy who is two days 24/7 next with Jon, who said some jokes and they name him the second Marcus...they will start being dissapointed as soon as he stops answering their criteria of "beign Marcus" :D I mean... come on.,, people are different

Andreas edit are really cool and Ben is that guy that makes everyone comfy and together we may see Andreas more relax side and a really good Vlog ;) But then u have the problem that on Monaco Jon can't have both at same time (i think)
I like Andreas too, cause I can more identify with him and he make vlogs a way much better then Marcus or Benjamin. Andreas is like more a normal guy and he knows that he must earn every cent in his life and dont espect something in return.
I couldn't disagree more. Ben seems to tell the story of what's going much better than Andreas. No offence to him, but Andreas is outside the story rather than inside the story.
Yap don't understand in which vlog he told a story good always was more like cinematic shots with some comments of Jon. But his editing is on point. But let's stop this stupid comparison and start hoping for an Andreas+Benjamin+Marcus Overkill.

omg what's wrong with all the haters. I enjoyed the vlog and it was something different. If you don't change you get stuck in one place.
I find the filmers personality is more important than the filmers skills. I like to see jon and his filmer getting along like they've been best friends for years and we just get to watch it.
I feel like because Benjamin and Jon are the same age, physically and mentally, they get along like pals and good friends but Andreas and Jon is like a father and son type of a relationship because Andreas is only 21 and he is a lot more shy. Andreas is excellent at editing but when he is working with Jon i feel like there isnt this magic between them. Anyone else agree?

This editor feels like a nice guy but Andreas is much better at editing, the section in the airport was superbad, the ski edit yesterday was also pretty bad. JON if you want to have the coolest vlogs possible you need to hire Andreas. This guy makes everyone comftarble behind the screen and i think your vlogs will have a much better sucsess on youtube with him. BUT you also have to keep in mind that Andreas were in a group of your friends when you met him so it was superhard to get a real connection with him and he didn't want to take too much place in the group.
You have to realize that Jon also did some of the editing.

I think Andreas is so young, he might not fit in as well despite his talents at editing.
I could not agree more! Benjamin is good and perhaps more outgoing person, but I don't think he can compare with Andreas editing skills. The Vlogs from Canada was just fantastic - especially "Lost in whistler". Jon said he felt sorry for Andreas who had to work with those shots, but what a great story Andreas managed to create. If I was Jon I would hired both of them.

Helli skiing in Canada, then surf in LA then off to Monaco, buy a Rolls, off to Austria and to cover a big Red Bull event and now in Denmark to drive a Praga 1500km to northern Sweden. And this only like in a month time. Jeeeez....

Really liking Benjamin because he's interacting naturally with Jon. Doesn't feel awkward kind of like it did with Andreas at times. I love Andreas editing skills but we all fell in love with the friendship that Jon and Marcus had and Ben as of now seems the closest to that. Either way Team Overkill is doing great things! So keep it up! We love watching your daily vlogs!

Jon PLEASE drop Andreas, what made your vpogs so entertaining wasnt so much the edits but Marcus's ability to interact with you and the camera. It made us feel like we were really with you in Monaco or Bali. With Andreas it feels more like a feature film rather than a vlog, I feel like we are slowly losing the FUN marcus brought to the vlogs. If it was up to me Jon, Id choose the personality, rather than the insane ability to edit. With benjamin we are shown a glimpse of what this amazing vlog once was!

guys, chill with the b rolls. More b roll does not equal better content. You have to learn to balance it. Right now, there's a b roll inflation where it's losing its value... Jon, I feel that these new guys have technical editing capabilities, but they both lack creativity and story-telling skills. You need someone who's got this. Look at the master, Casey N. He is not an editing wizard, instead his vlogs were magical because of his creativity and story telling.
adolicious even Casey admitted story was suffering from doing daily vlogs, considering that, after 300 vlogs Jon is doing fantastic. I think the editing is as cohesive as it can get with such time constrictions.
zach thomas of course the story suffers (and that can clearly be seen in Caseys vlogs as the earlier ones were far better that the later ones) but that does not mean that one should sidestep the story completely. I was just pointing to the fact that Jons vlogs now are largely about showing off shots taken with expensive camera equipment through endless b rolls. And when you do that in a DAILY vlog one grows tired of them. They should cut back and create a better balance. Jon should not be looking for an amazing editor who knows how to apply the zoom-in transition. He should look for creative people who know how to create CONTENT. Editing skills come second to that imo. And perhaps keep the vlog shorter than 10 mins to keep things interesting
