Love how before Android 17 gets destroyed, he saw Gohan in Trunks when he was about to fire that Masenko. Wonder if it’s his life flashing before his eyes or the vision of Gohan telling them that a stronger warrior would destroy them eventually would appear. Such a good cutscene.
"You know you can't win. You can't destroy what I'm really am. Even if you manage to kill this body, somebody even stronger will surface and take my place!" - Future Gohan.
To be honest the blast radius is just typical cool Cyberconnect over the top exeggeration. Safe to say the blast radius actually went like it did in the anime
One of my gripes about the anime version of this fight was that it was over too quick. Don't get me wrong, it makes total sense that Trunks ends it ASAP, that's just how he is as a character. I just would have liked it if we had more time to let the androids realize just how much stronger he became and go *OH FUCK, OH JEEZ, OH FUCK* This game gave that to me, and I love it.
I've actually seen the anime version, it was fucking perfect? it literally exactly followed what it was meant to, if your problems would be with anything it'd be the original
9:37 I always hear this Vegeta line in my head when this scene plays. "That's right, my friend. Let me ask you, does a machine like yourself ever experience fear?"
I love what they used in place of the ki blast used to destroy 17. A Student Master Masenko(saw someone refer to it as that in the comments). Accuracy to the anime is great when it comes to cutscenes but in those rare moments where you can improve on it and make it soooo much better than before you probably should and that was one of those moments. Just beautiful.
This episode was probably my favorite episode in all of the series. The satisfaction of all those years of torment and death he endured and the time spent away from his own time and his mother in a different timeline and got strong enough to end it all in the blink of an eye. And in humiliating fashion at that. The 3 most powerful and terrifying threats the world had ever seen, 2 of whom ran things for years, and they get blown away with EASE. All that pain and torment we actually had to live through watching it all go down in the main timeline for it to end by the hardest only for Trunks to go back to his timeline and end it with ease. Talk about satisfying. This episode was basically a reward for all that. All that conflict and tension of that saga it was such a breath of fresh air to get an episode where in an alternate timeline where everything about the android menace is made right in 30 minutes or less. It also kinda speaks to how the show would have benefitted from more mini arcs and one off stuff. Sagas are great and all but I this episode is a great example of why they probably could have used more one offs or mini arcs every now and then.

Hey somebody who calls them by their actually names!! Kinda weird how people don’t do that in canon. Like I get Goku, Vegeta and future trunks (he’s only ever known them as murdered 17 and 18 so calling them any less would make no sense) But you’d think Krillin of all people would want to call his wife by his name and not as the thing that kinda objectified her as nothing more than a machine.

9:18 These action packed cutscenes where characters use their big moves on other characters are easily applicable to gameplay in the form of cinematic supermoves. Just add some editing for time and apply it to any and all characters. Gameplay would be alot less repetitive. Cinematic supermoves so essential to DB games like this. And probably anime games in general but definitely for this one. A game that really doesn't play hardly any different than an arena fighter like Raging Blast or Ultimate Ninja Storm. Especially considering the same people that made Ultimate Ninja Storm made this game. And the Storm games are probably the king of cinematic supermoves. For example: Cutscenes of Goku using his Super Spirit Bomb on Buu, Piccolo using his Special beam cannon on Raditz, Trunks using his Burning Slash on Frieza. All those cutscenes probably easily could have been applied to gameplay as cinematic supermoves.

Being level 45 is a bit too high for the Androids. I think Frieza was 28, then 30, in the game? Androids should've capped at 38 or so. The Z fighters, except Vegeta, never got to be as strong or stronger than Frieza. Makes no sense that SP Cell would only be about 12 levels higher than them here. Not to mention, natural exp gain only makes you about as strong as them? Really? We all know Trunks was roughly twice as strong as they were in both the anime and manga. Being high 40's for Trunks makes sense, but it should've been a roughly 10 level difference between the two.
