We were made to be God's children and to spread His Word of The Gospel. And I felt so sad for her that she was asking "What was I made for?" The original version is specifically made for the movie though. It is about the doll’s feelings (Barbie). I am a Christian and I appreciate both versions of the song.

When I hear Billie sing her version, I just think how I know God made her to sing to Him and that He loves her so much! She is such a worshiper. I can see that in her. I remember when she said in an interview she was religious as a child. I am a worship and I know I was made for Him. I have always known Him even as a child when no one in my family knew Him. I knew Him, and He knew me!

Don’t take it out of context. It was literally made for the Barbie movie and if you saw the movie, it is perfect for the movie. However, realize that people do go through things in life… even Christians. I’m a a Christian and I appreciate both versions.
This can easily be a love song about someone reaching out to another. The power in the words, to me, then hit home without me needing to believe in a “story” about a higher power separate from my own, our own. We are the love, it is not out there it is in here. Discover the love, be the love.

That song literally made me cry. My kids like the original one but I don't like them playing it to much cuz it is a depressing song that leads to the pit.
