Ngl this ending is really sad. Roland "wins" but all the Sephira, librarians, and of course Angela all die in the process. Leaving Roland an empty shell of a man without a purpose until everything catches up with him.
So... he achieved the revenge, but after that he had nothing to do. His life was empty, as he had no purpose to fulfill anymore, and literally every single person in the city hated him, for all the damage he'd done long ago. It seems like this story has no good characters after all.
I feel a little weird about this ending, because at least with the Angela bad end, we got a super interesting timeline. But here... not a whole lot happens. I suppose, though, that there wasn't a whole lot that _could_ happen in this scenario, compared to the Angela one, so I don't blame PM on that front.
It gives quite a couple new characters, Astolfo popped back up, probably amongst those who gave him the final blow. But yeah, other wise this is simply incredibly logical.
At least it gave us away the silhouette of some of the charles office member that are still together. Some people found out that they are the one going to the library in the art where angela stay at the door and six mysterious figure goes there.
Oh boy, it really hurts seeing Roland get killed like that. Welp, I'm hoping that Roland didn't even bothered to fight back in the end, because I already made him such a god inside my head.

Both ends are just another normal day in the city, a star rises for 13 years and then falls, or a star falls, no biggie.

I doubt he did fight back tbh. All of the weapons are impaled in his back so I think he probably just let it happen.
So this ending tells us that at least 4 members of Arthur's round table are still alive. In total we see 6 of them.
