Fear and the Nervous System is an experimental/industrial rock band formed by Korn guitarist James Shaffer. Their first album, Fear and the Nervous System, was released on October 25th, 2011 via iTunes, Amazon. You can preview and purchase the album here: itunes.apple.com/us/album/fear...
This album has very good production and mixing.
Take a look at the documentary and you will see why they picked him as a singer! Just look at it and you will respect them all for making this album. Which in my opinion is pretty great :)
That intro /riff was so Munky, love it
Definetely my favorite song off the album. One of my favorite songs in general lately
Even though head is not not in Korn any more he still gives life to the style and sound Korn created.
awesome!
unreal ,,, wow ,, hands down WICKED ,, LOVE this song ,,,,
This is soooo goood...didnt expected it to be that good ..
but it is.
God I still love this song.
great album munk did great lead singerz got great emotion
cool song
that snare is intense!
they both rock + Head has amazing vocals.
Snear is beautiful !!!!
Well done munky&company! Great melodic chorus and badass guitar riff that has munky written all over it
Someone who finally gets it...
sweet (: lets keep em comin' haha.
I dig the dropped beats here and there. Has that heavy dark dissonant sound to it. It's not overly poppy, but it has some definitive hooks. Has an almost avante-garde feel to it, but not so rich that it can't be processed. I dig it :)
Amen bro, =XD
this is pretty cool; this band kinda feels like if APC and Korn had a kid.
I personally still think korn is badass. Ive always said that korn is jonathan davis. Head quit in 04, korn did well enough to produce 4 albums, david left in 07 they replaced him and came out with four albums. Any can be said about any member other than jonathan. Jd is korn
head quit in 2005 dude.
hell yeah man good to have a fellow korn brother on here! they are doing what they love and I'm digging it.. we have 6 albums of the original KoRn and if you as me, that is a lot more albums with all original member than most bands have released. They are constantly reinventing their sound. But with the sound of Munky's guitar with this Fear and the Nervous System's album, it shows he can still rock to metal and is a preview of what's to come for KORN!!
One more here.
@Eospag yea it like untouchables+untitled met up
love and death, fear and the nervous system, korn, super band.
it needs to happen
I actually love this song. I think the vocals go really well with it regardless if Steve sounds like JD, though they both have different vocals altogether. The lyrics are actually pretty deep in my opinion. To me, it's about someone who keeps going through the same pattern of betrayal in relationships, friendships, etc. and in the end with each one, it dissolves, then moves on to the next one.
Is this korn or fear and the nervous system im kornfuesed????
BILLY GOULD RULEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
head showed him every thing
@MrAcidmath that's what i thought too, lol
@MultiSnakeman He's probably talking about A Perfect Circle.
totally agree with fluffyandfurious here.. I don't care for the vocals honestly, but during the chorus it is not that bad. I can't help but feel like if jon davis was singing it would be absolutely BADASS.
tool mixed with Korn? Why not? Great shit
finally a person who thinks KoRn went to shit after Head left. thanks homie. noone else agrees that there shitty now without all 5 original members #AllAboutOldSchoolKorn
hahahaha right on brother
@MrAcidmath apc?
Singer sounds like JD on a bad day. Except JD doesn't have bad days
@jenibearlb It's not Munk on vocals but Steve Krolikowski. Munky is still doing his thing on the guitar^^
Reminds me of korn during the untouchables era
fucking agree
This riff remembers me of Tony Iommi...
It sounds just like Korn to me.
Isaac Smalls This uses odd meters/polymeter. Korn hasn’t really done that since Predictable in ‘94
Are you going to upload the rest of the album too?
how many seconds are in a hour?
someone give me a lyrics to this song please
i checked out no doubt and i have to say: how the hell did you get here from no doubt?
If he sounds like Jonathan, it's because he's been playing with him for years. Of course you're gonna sound a little like the lead singer you've had for more than 15 years. Then again, Munky has a soft voice, so his tone of voice is probably like Jonathan's. Either way, this song is great!
i like korn. but more the old stuff. and this reminds me a little bit of it. not the same but it's close to it.
he sounds just like JD :'D ima cry
HEAD
it sounds like hes trying to sound like jonathan. i dont give a damn. i still like it.
yeah i know that lol it's Korn 2.0 without dubstep.
@QBACORE yeah, they have this cool thing out now, it's called the internet. yeah, you can look up stuff, like ummm I don't know, maybe lyrics for a particular song. Seriously, come on.
@swera12 I agree almost everything on this album sounds the same.... Not saying it's weak.... I would get bored listening to this for more than 10 min. And for some reason I would think this would be much more heavier
Head = Real Korn
240p? It's like listening to gravel dance
This feels like Korn's Untitled got it's own band.
FATNS rocks!!!
I don't know how I got here from listening to No Doubt.
the vocals does take a bit to get used to but during the chorus it is rather nice I think.
correction on grammer :And for some reason I thought that this would have been much more heavy
Why do a side project when the singer sounds like Jonath Davis with a cold?
"This is intended for listening purposes only!!!!"
Well...I sure as hell can't eat it...
sth like queen of damned
Munky is better than head and you're right about the second part (not saying its better)
Munk should save sth like this for korn:)
no way. This is alright but Head's new shit is on point. Is Head the greatest lead singer in the world? hell no, but musically Head's band is on point. They have their own style yet you can definitely hear the old school Korn sound....... you know, when Korn was badass.
head did not fuck himself at all. he makes amazing music with his new band love and death. korn needs head more than head needs korn
yeah i know, he does sound like JD ...
sry guys but munk doesent got that what head got. I like this dark mood but sometimes i miss something.
dark korn
Defiantly a lot of Korn influence and sound here. But that's ok, bc Munks from Korn and Korn rocks.
this is korn!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ya honestly i have always thought that munky has more talent but head does sing very well when munky does not sing
I'm not into this too much. A little too slow for my liking, but at least it's a little heavy. I like the raspy vocal styling, but not the other clean style. Sounds toooo mellow. Perhaps, that was the effect they were after...
(oh, and I don't like much Korn either) :-}
No, Munky is just on guitar
sounds some what like korn JUST SORTA
Isn't Korn a_a
@tripp6575 being a KoRn fan excludes liking this band? WTF!? Seriously?
Munky isn't singing, though. Steve Krolikowski is.
i know that he is not lead singer i said lead singers is emotiona;
They are musicians why settle doing one thing, KoRn is still KoRn, even Fieldly has his own rap side project called Fieldy's Dreams and John himself works with plenty of other artist. KoRn are amazing musicians that are heavily influences by all genres of music. So sad that the so call "hardcore fans of what ever the fuck they listen too" cant see that music is music why settle for one genre saying everything else sucks??? Cant truly enjoy music with such mentality. =:D
At least it's sounds better than modern day korn
i would think if the singer had a deeper voice it will sound even better just saying what i think
@anthonytkf NO! Head = Munky = GOD
hell yeah! a more modern metal tony iommi at least.
You only think they suck because you aren't open to them experimenting with different genres of music.
Korn?
OtherEdgar Not Korn. I thought it was Brian Welch from Korn but his band is Love and death. This band was formed by Korn member James Shaffer ( Munky )
-Head > -Munky
Vocalist kinda irritates me a little bit for some reason....one other thing that bothers me is the weird time signature...makes it hard to headbang and get into it. The things I like are the bass work and being able to hear Munky do some metal riffs again.
I can't agree more!
Any songs done by Munky or Head without Jonathan doing vocals just seem wasted.
I've heard it man I thought it was good but nothing revolutionary.
Shoulda got Maynard to sing.
Lol, only me who came here to listen to music?
MUNKY>head
a Korn Clone, but not bad
I wish old korn was still around, and these guys? Wtf?!
they're back, Head returned in 2012, now they're heavy again.
I have just discovered why Path Of Totality was so shit........All the awesome people were off making this album :D
well.. someone more came for the right thing then XD
Vocalist sounds like he's influenced by JD...
