I love this map, it really has great terrain, and my zoo, for once, doesn't look boring! (I have a problem with making everything square!) But it's sad actually, because I get too attached to each career zoo, and when it is time to leave, it is so sad to leave it all behind!
I'm pretty sure that in challenge mode you can use any of the career park maps as a template so you could build your own full park on this map :)
For whatever reason, The Formosan Bears were a huge draw to my park. Even more so than the snow leopard. You might want to account for huge crowds when you place them. They are also very panicky.
Just binge watching these till I get a pc for Christmas!!

When your torn because you like the goals of the career mode, but you also want some more of the classic creative gaming of Geekism. Obviously not to the same level as sandbox, but still.

Longleat has a Gorilla on an island, he has a hut and likes to watch the Teletubbies, if I remember correctly after his mate died he's struggled to socialise with other gorillas and so prefers being on his own or with other humans like his keepers. There are also some other younger gorillas on the mainland. The water contains a few hippos and some sea lions which you can feed.
I don't know what it is about your channel. But whenever I'm watching your channel. My can sits glued watching along with me. You have her complete attention and she never pays any attention to anyone!

I’m not sure if anyone has mentioned yet, but you could make non-traversable terrain by using rocks to create cliffs around the leopard enclosure, instead of having him in a big glass box. Just an idea!
Even just looking at that crowded bridge makes me feel claustrophobic... I sympathize with the snow leopard.

I think you can put down quiet signs to lower animal stress, it's not confirmed but it worked for the red pandas at my zoo :) great vid as always btw

I recall there’s a one way mirror fo barriers. I dont think providing many getaway spots will do good for the visitors. Sure it will help decrease the stress level but That way the visitors wont be able to see the majestic beast.
In this scenario, you will need to research for a two-way mirror. It'll help, tho!!

You forgot to put food and water for the snow leopard, it doesn't have a keeper assigned and you need education boards for both the macaques and the snow leopard.
Jonti when you do the next video could you explain how you select items and duplicate and keyboard shortcuts. Doesn't need to be constant commentary or a tutorial but explain what you did to achieve and action would be great.
I'm new to the "Planet" franchise... I'm really struggling with camera control. Could you spend 2-3 minutes in a future video doing some camera control tips? It takes me a very long time to get the angles I need to be able to position things the way I want them.

I think a quick easy suggestion would be to "Dress Up" some of the non-exhibit areas, specifically interchanges with some rocks and foliage. I think it would help distract from you"less than perfect work" that being said it's all still something I couldn't even do on my best day lol But I think areas where you're not happy with like the Staff Path interchange for the Snow Leps could easily be beutified quickly and "Cheaply" that being said the park still looks great, thanks for all the vids man! P.s. are you ever returning to Parkitect??

What i‘m missing in this game are animals like black panther, leopard as itself, moose, Asian lions .. like way more animals that are rarely left or so 🤷🏼♀️
I'm sure many more will come in the form of DLC, Zoo Tycoon 2013 (the one made by Frontier) had 101 animals vs Planet Zoo's 76

oho lord, it took me three days to do that career mode map. the inability to alter terrain messed me up big time.
You can make a cliff as well by using rocks ;) then they cannot escape as well and it looks a bit better then the glass fencing probably :)

Another question for my fellow geeks, I am having problems with the visitors not being happy with the animal visibility in all of my exhibits, I wonder if it's just me. Even when I made a peafowl walk-through exhibit and a tiny tortoise exhibit with almost no plants and 5 animals that were mostly hanging by the window, and still the comment was "oh tortoise? I guess I can see something" or whatever... bunch of arseholes!

But you can try:
- Raise ticket prices
- Use your loan to place some food and drinks places, raise the price on each from the default by about $1 (or more, if guests don't say they're overpriced). Also an information stand for umbrellas.
- Buy an exhibit if you can, put it somewhere obvious and add a donation box.
- Make SURE you have donation boxes.
- Fire some staff if possible, and reduce each of their wages - they can have less than the default without becoming unhappy.

I watched all of your planet coaster vids. This is my first time seeing you play planet zoo. Why are you building so janky? Everything was meticulous in planet coaster. You seem the opposite with Planet Zoo. Does this game give you less freedom to design?
Not at all! This is just a career mode play through, focusing on management and goals. Check out any of my other stuff in Planet Zoo and I hope you’ll find what you expect :)
