Since 2008 I have been into drones of all types. I just recently got back into planes and forgot how fun they are. Over 40 years in the rc hobby and still fly daily!
Pretty much same here, used to fly fpv all the time with a friend of mine, then he passed away unexpectedly and I just kind of fell out of it. Some of the places we used to fly are possibly not safe to be by yourself with goggles on. I've recently gotten back into planes, mainly micros, and seem to be addicted at this point. I have two on the way and may be about to pick up the A190!
I got my first plane the other day, loving this side of the hobby . Its more peaceful than drones lol. Cool trainer jet, great to learn with I bet.

I almost bought that yesterday but I got the little Eachine f22 because it's on sale on banggood for only $50 regularly $95 and has elevator and ailerons. Love XK though. I have a couple of their planes and their vtol that I got off your link, I think. Keep up the great work. You've inspired me to get into fpv finally. I'm scared of not having altitude hold though 😂. I suck at throttle management

That's the Splinter paint scheme painted on F-16s in Nevada. It's used on aggressor aircraft, that pose ast enemy aircraft, usually Russian, during simulated combat and exercises.

Hey Justin I am not sure, I really am thinking about a 1s plane and install a a little camera/vtx. My friend just purchased the horizon 1s CUB and I thought it could be fun having 2 or more of this style of aircraft. I used to own the collection of FLIGHT ZONE Warbirds. Now everyone is making them. Thanks again for the video and information.

Protocol on the XK A2?0 series of planes is reported as being V911S/E119 sub-protocol but that the flight mode seems stuck. Perhaps the protocol needs some more work.
The flight board does allow S-bus and DSM satellites to be added so the mode switching may be available via that route.

These are cool, looked at a few but still saving to get us drones. Know of any that are FPV planes? That would be hella cool!
You can make anything fpv. Get an all in one camera/transmitter and stick it on their. It's super easy and tons of videos showing you how. There's actually one on this channel.
@@jojaboy319 yeah, looked into converting our RC cars. So we know what to do, but most those combo cameras don’t have the range. For an RC car on a track or crawling that’s not a concern. For a RC plane that could go a lot farther much faster and leave you with no time to respond when you drop video and no GPS return to home function would make me worry.
@@andrewdecavia7553 "Don't have the range"?! 25mw from up in the air will generally be plenty to cover the limited range of the radio control signal on these - and the distance your spotter can reasonably see them LOS! For the more adventurous (with a more powerful transmitter!) there are plenty of the little All In One Camera/VTX units giving up to 200mw off a 1 cell battery.

I honestly don't think XK produces a "bad" product. Would like to get my hands on their 1200mm FPV glider too...Now extinct !..I have the XK 520 FPV VTOL. Pound for pound very hard to beat!

Any idea of protocol used Justin? This would have been a fair unit a while ago were it not overshadowed by the V761 Eachine Mini F-22 and F-16 units with aileron controls - even with their occasionally reported programming glitches. XK have also done their previously quite good reputation a lot of damage with the really crappy A160 (over-weight and with built-in auto-crash programming!) and their Eachine re-branded Mini Wing Dragon (with the worst electronics quality imaginable!) It remains to be seen if their current models (issued under the XK mark and as Eachine re-brands) can resuscitate their reputation.
