I think it's great how recognized you are in the vintage community. Just goes to show how appreciated a courteous knowledgeable guy is at these shows👏👍
Drooling over this swap meet from Nevada. Thanks for the interesting video, always impressed by your encyclopedic knowledge of all things two wheels. Looking forward to tomorrows.
I’m 76yo, and have two restored bikes in my shed, a 74 Dirt Squirt and a 72 Pursang 125. In the work shop is my cx500 cafe bike, my crf250x dirt bike, and a pristine 76 trail 90 I restored for a friend. I don’t need another project. But dang brother, your video is giving me the urge to find another old dirt bike to save. I think I’d like to do a replica of the DT1 MX I raced 70/71. Lowered frame, webco head, down pipe, the works! Probably the hardest part to find would be the DT1MX badged oil tank.
@@bullpencycles best thing to do if you don't have it get a brand new spare battery and heavy-duty jumper cables because cold weather will cause you craziness on the van starting other than that you know the rest let the van run warming up for a good half hour before you start going out do not drive in a snowstorm
@@bullpencycles before the Potomac vintage riders took over that show it was called the Will Stoner swap meet in the late 80’s and through the 90’s, it was still held at York in a much smaller building.
Note: The white Montesa Cota 200 was a 175cc engine. The very rare white Cota 125 was pretty much the same bike - the only difference is the size of the jug. Really rare are the White Cota 125s with the Italian markings- which were applied for one year (1982) when Montesa won the 125 Worlds class held in Italy . Very few regular 125s were sold in the US and even fewer with Italian markings.
Still can't find Bridgestone Chibi 60cc mini anywhere ? Must be the rarest bike on 🌎 😂 Excellent channel Thanks 👍 Everyone at swap meet should have a big bold sign with contact info so people on UA-cam can try to buy stuff.
Hello Dave, i can't believe that you didn't check out the big fin BSA Goldstar Cylinder Head and Barrel at 10 minutes and 20 seconds into the Video. You should have snapped them up in a heartbeat, they really are hard to find and are worth good money. Also the gold and white Triumph gas tank, you should have jumped on that one, very very difficult to source and they will not remake them again as probably not enough demand. I can't make out weather it's a 500 or 650 gas tank, but good news either way. If the Indians ever start making them, i will guarantee that they will not fit, the original tanks only just do fit and they were made on jigs, something the Indians won't have and also Gas tank badge screws on the earlier tank up to 1965 have 118mm screw centres and the tank from 1976 and on are 122mm screw centres. Cheers.
They tell me that Triumph tank had a dent in it, maybe fixable with a paintless dent guy. I didnt look at it but I missed the BSA head. (And I spent all my money!)
I wish I had known about this, I would have driven up there. Would have been worth the 2 hour drive just to nab that gold 1963-65 Triumph 650 tank. I wonder how much they wanted for it. When was this? That BSA raffle bike sign says the drawing is August 2023 but they must mean 2024.
I will be there tomorrow. I can get his phone number or you can text me yours. My phone # is on my web page. He might have been here last year as well.
Awesome videos your a world of knowledge when some idiot tells me not to touch at a swapmeet and it's old rusty parts I tell them I don't need another mommy I'm a adult now don't have to hold my hand ignore the idiots

Awesome! Thank you! That one might take a little longer to edit though.

Love your videos Dave, makes me feel like I'm there. I hope to meet you at Mid Ohio vintage days this year if you're going.
I think I will be there. That's pretty far off to plan for me yet. Guess I better book my motel though!
Man I could carry off a Kenworth full of bikes and parts from that meet..thanks for sharing Dave
You and me both!

I think it got sold. It was at a different location Sunday. You may see it on the Sunday video when I publish it
as an overseas buyer I like the 250cc twin shock Maico at 13.45mins on the video
Yes. My problem is I dont know the value. I did have a 490 once, but boy, I couldnt kick it at my age. A 250 would be nice

Wow Dave, you are quite the popular guy 👍
I guess the line is, "I'm just a tiny bit famous". It still floors me though!
That was very nice of Bill.
Yes it was.
Great video as usual Dave. You know everyone in the Vintage community
But I am so bad with names it embarrassing!
Loved the 80/81 Maico 250 at the 15 min mark. Thank goodness i didn't go, I might have been tempted.
Yeah, that was nice.

Have Streaker 125, on original CO, w/parts book, gasket kit etc.
Yes, thank you. I have three and there is one in today's show. They are neat bikes. Is yours the 75cc or the 125cc? I assume its a black one.

In a Van that's not 4x4 . God Bless I wish I was recording you.
We done good, but I had to unhook the trailer for the night
Great videos - would like to make it up to your shop someday.
You'd be welcome!

That's a good one. Another mommy!
How can those forward leaning shocks work, especially under acceleration
Backwards leaning I mean, on the Ossa.
Oh, those crazy things! I dont know how they work
I could gotten a basket case 79 Bonneville for 300 dollars, he said he would help me put it together. I passed and then he did. Regrets.
Maybe depends on how large the basket was.
Evert part polished to new, needed clutch and piston and rings.@@bullpencycles
Do you have the phone number of the '67 Kawasaki W1 for $4,900? Got it. Found it on Craigslist. Thanks
I'm glad. I looked through my film clips and did not find it.
Dave haven't been following you as of late . Did you relocate to the North
No. I'm just visiting from Florida.
Its not an art museum it’s a swap meet, touching is ok 🤣
Thanks man! That's what I said!
