People like Hayley were born to do this. The universe takes care of them because it knows that we need her. Or I need her. I choose to believe this. Thanks Hayley.
@@TheHandgunhero No there is not . The verison you are talking about it on the RIOT album (2007) and has nothing to do with the song she is singing in this vidoe
@@michaelhawkins7389 Shes singing the same song, she just opens the intro with a bit of a cover of Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen. Hallelujah was the second single from Riot!
+Estelle Martorano same. definitely shed some tears in the beginning because Hayley's voice is just so flawless with the song by Leonard Cohen. Like literally it is so beautiful I cry because of how incredibly it sounds. I'd give anything to see them as well. thats why im going to save up money for about a year till its time for them to start up Parahoy again so i can go. Also, they NEED to do a cover of this song in the studio and release it. becuase I'd listen to it multiple times a day, every day, for as long as I live lol.
Not that it was ever in doubt, but this proves she can sing anything. To be able to switch from purely singing to more of a rock song mid song, I mean...she's amazing.
I've been replaying 1:45-2:00 over and over and over again. Chills! Same with the high notes in Future at the end of the show. Thank you for the upload! :)
ok, maybe im tripping but did you notice @2:08 its almost as if the wind is on que blowing her hair with the lyrics? like some angelic force is present with her
Just watching this back, now in 2021. I was on this ship, and I would give anything to live this moment over. Brings back incredible memories and just goes to show how powerful music is. Can't wait to do this again when live music returns!!
The control she has in that is just absurd. It is very rare to find this good a singer in punk rock bands such as this. I was very surprised when I first heard this
Just awesome... so emotional. (P.S. Technically, Jeff Buckley's is just a version of Leonard Cohen's original, as is Paramore intro. So this intro is not a "cover" of Buckley, but rather a version/cover of Cohen's original, just as Buckley's was. So a better title might be Hallelujah into (Leonard Cohen song) + Hallelujah (Paramore) )
Well I heard there was a secret chord That David played and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? Well it goes like this: the fourth, the fifth The minor fall and the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah [x4] Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew you She tied you to her kitchen chair She broke your throne and she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah [x4] Baby I've been here before I've seen this room and I've walked this floor (you know) I used to live alone before I knew you And I've seen your flag on the marble arch And love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Beautiful performance! I am slightly disappointed that Hayley didn't go for the high note in the opening of the cover though. That was one of my favorite parts in the Final Riot show.
Weren't the nodules several years ago? I think she's better now. And she went for the high note on the second verse, so she can still easily hit it. I think it's more that she wanted it to have a different feel like you said.
Have you ever tryed to sing in the morning? Somites i think that her voice feels just like that at the beginning of her shows And then at the middle of the show it gets warm.... And then at the ant it starts to get tired.... And you have to think that she's jumping , and shaking , and sometimes she gets breathless. i think that, that's why and i say "that" a lot LOL
while i wish Paramore would record a full length version as it is my favourite Hallelujah cover ever, I would suggest taking a listen to Theory of a Deadman's cover. It's got the same haunting tone and I find it the most similar to this one. Minus the amazingness of 1:47- 2:00 of course
the way she sings at 00:57 ..wow, what a talent! the way she adds emotions to her vocals always gives me goosebumps** the way they performed their own hallelujah right after the leonard cohen cover just completes a perfect performance.
I want to see them so bad. When the lights went off I was about to click off the video and then I head the guitar. The second the drumbeat went I started smiling 😫
cant believe you covered this song! i met leonard cohen in 2004 on wilshire blvd near the la brea tarpits as he took his laundry to the dry cleaner next to starbucks!
+Ruben Quezada you truly are lucky. I'm not kidding becuase I would have literally given anything to go on this Parahoy cruise. That's why I'm saving up money for about a year so i can go on the next Parahoy cruise when the time comes.
How did she manage to still look gorgeously angelic with hairs all over her face. Is she even real.
Sarita Larasati Hayley Williams just is just an angel
Alex Maximoff true
its almost like the wind was part of the rehearsal
No. She’s definitely a hologram
People like Hayley were born to do this. The universe takes care of them because it knows that we need her.
Or I need her. I choose to believe this.
Thanks Hayley.
hayley's version of Hallelujah is just incredible and probably the best cover..
Whel Centenaje You never listened to Jeff Buckley's version???
That's a bit of a statement, Jeff Buckley's is unbeatable bruh and I'm a hardcore Paramore fan.
Agree with these two, Jeff Buckley’s will always be the best cover, hands down.
What about Chester Bennington?
I mean Jeff Buckley’s is definitely the best cover, that’s completely undeniable haha
Me: whats for dinner?
Hayley: im serving vocals today
she looks angelic in the beginning :(
She looks angelic all through out the video
she looks angelic always :D
I know
yes, she always does
Always have and always will

Hallelujah was one of their singles from Riot! so there is a studio version out there.

nooo omg sorry I was talking to that dude above I was asking him what his problem was lol
I was crying the whole time too tbh it was great
She can be gentle and strong at the same time with her voice. It's not easy. One day I wish I could sing with her.❤
the final riot memories :):
Mayra Vazquez Orange hair, wild pants and all :)

I love this for you. I’ve found myself watching old pmore concert vids too. “Somehow, everything’s gonna fall [back] into place” 🤍
The emotion that goes into The second verse is incredible. Goosebumps everytime. Goddamnit Hayley you've done it again
This is so beautiful I feel so blessed rn

+wojo4hitz Hayley's voice is a gift I come here everday
can i just say i love ur picture :)
her voice is so strong
its amazing how she really feels every moment of this song
I love how it went from the beautiful, calm cover, to Paramore’s hallelujah, jumping around the stage, dancing and shaking her hair.
Oh my God, this goes straight through my heart.
man, so beautifull, still waiting on a full blown cover though...
Her vocals are just incredible.
Goosebumps, sung with pure emotion, hands down she is the best female vocal ever! !!!!
1:51 can we talk about that vibrato pls
yes we can.
i'll go first: it feeds my soul :)
Also the vibrato right after that at 1:58 in the last syllable of "hallelujah"!
TheIamthere I thought of Celine Dion when I heard them lol. She has those same beautiful vibratos.
The control she has in that is just absurd. It is very rare to find this good a singer in punk rock bands such as this. I was very surprised when I first heard this
Beyond that raspy voice of 1:57 omfg
The whole cover blows my mind but 1:51 thru the following hallelujah gives me the chills everytime
who wants to hear her singing the star spangled banner
i do. now.
Compete with Lady Gaga, that would be a good challenge, both are worthy of this
for me Hayley has the best belting voice i've ever heard. Her vibrato is also one of a kind
What a moment,thunderstruck is amazing.⚡⚡🌩️🌩️🌩️
