Absolutely agree… Stick with Classics… I don’t mind having an eclectic mix of style… As long as it’s not trendy, because trendy never stays around for a reason. And as far as different colors , trucker jackets… There are some nice looking ones in brown, olive, tan, black but in a waxed canvas … like the trucker by Gustin..other companies like Flint and tinder, Marine Layer,Iron and Resin etc..have nice options..More like chore jackets..but cut like truckers.. they add a little bit of natural color so they can be versatile with so many other things… Instead of denim that doesn’t always work when it’s in different colors as well as canvas… I think it’s a textural thing, it tends to look flat, because it doesn’t have any depth..
I’m not sure if you know these brands, but they are makers of basically motorcycle gear… Jackets especially… The wax cotton jacket is another British staple that hasn’t quite caught on here in America, which is great because you still can walk around feeling original… At least I do…Barbour International and Belstaff are the makers of some of the finest clothing in the UK… Some are made in Italy, but mostly, UK, Romania, etc. both are motorcycle inspired designs all with a classic look that will last for decades… And the same thing that we love about denim jackets also goes for waxed cotton jackets… They get better with age, they even sell used jackets that people love because of their ancient patina… That gives them so much character… Check them out because I think you’ll love their leather jackets as well… Especially the panther jacket by Belstaff.. it is Uber cool in a vintage style… Fantastic leather… Not cheap but the quality is the same as some of the designer stuff but Belstaff doesn’t have the snobby following..It’s still outsider style in the nicest way..Barbour international has a line inspired by Steve McQueen if that gives you an idea of how cool the jackets are..

You see I don’t really like the new faded jackets, because sometimes the fading is too uniform, so it looks like one color… It doesn’t have that denim look because it has no depth… Unlike the vintage faded jackets, it still has the original color, indigo underneath that gives it more depth, so it doesn’t look flat and ordinary… And I think it works with more ranges of color.. and also the vintage jackets have that nice wear, fraying and patina that give it so much character and contrast with the original indigo underneath.. But I do prefer the medium to dark indigo because it also shows more texture like raw denim.. I have a denim shirt by Sandro that almost has a linen look and feel..GStar has great options too.. I love the waxed denim and canvas. Gustin and other companies have a great waxed denim trucker with type 3 cues and with a brown/tan corduroy collar it looks very kool..The Lee Storm Rider is legendary..great slanted pockets..Denim with the corduroy collar..❤.. I think another great look but rarely seen, are the corduroy trucker jackets… Especially the one made by Ralph Lauren polo… In a light brown slightly worn/vintage look that fits slim and shorter.. so slick without trying too hard..Great stuff.. thanks 🙏
The lucky brand line has a lot of great options in denim truckers.. Premium quality denim and vintage inspirations in different shades of indigo.. I do like the AE trucker.. nice looking with a decent price point.. I wanted to know was the different fit of the vintage Levi’s and Lee trucker jackets.. I’m in the market for either a vintage type three or Lee rider… I kind of know Heather Levi’s will fit but I’m not sure about the Lee Rider from the 1970s…
I know some guys like to wear hoodies underneath their denim jackets, but it doesn’t look good on everyone… Sometimes it makes you look too bulky and heavy… Not flattering… I think denim jackets look better when they are tailored or slim fitting… More flattering especially if you have a decent physique… But also better if you have a little extra weight than wearing a big oversized jacket… It looks like you’re hiding something in it… It just doesn’t look right to me at least.

If you're into Levi's, the 72334-0207 Rigid Two is raw unwashed indigo denim. They had a great sale where you could snag one for about 30 USD.
