Whooo -Hoooo!!! Getting closer to a running tractor. Going to be a sweet and useful piece of equipment when done. When I bought my JD 1025R in 2017 ,it came with a front end loader. I didn't think I would use the loader much, but I'm glad I have it because it is used almost every day I'm on the tractor.
Yea I wish I had a loader, but I'm thinking that will have to be the next tractor. These little tractors can have a loader, but I'm thinking it would be better to just use this as a dedicated pasture maintenance machine. Brush hogging and fertilizer/weed killer application. It's nice and low to the ground for the crazy hills we have here. I really need a loader for moving stuff and a work platform though! A JD like yours with a loader would be sweet!
Good afternoon Larry, it will be awesome to have a tractor for spring. Then I will need to find a used brush hog, but we'll cross that bridge when we get to it 😊
I sure hope so Kevin! I just got the carb rebuild kit today, but I'm still waiting on a dipping container of carb cleaner. I've never used those before so it should be interesting. I have a lot of work planned for this little tractor, and hope to make it very dependable! 😊
I went to art school a lot as a kid, but never wanted to do it for a living. I am good at designing and building things I guess. I apprenticed in cabinetmaking back in the day and worked as a cabinetmaker/furniture builder for years, but lately I've been making 'configurators' for a living -- rules based 3D models driven by code -- and building/fixing stuff on UA-cam 😁
Am enjoying all the videos in the Ferguson playlist. I noticed a Hobart welder in the background. I've got a Hobart 140 and love it, in fact I used it to make a new alternator top bracket for my Te 20. What model is your welder?
Mr Mojo , you must have been pretty upset about the tractor not starting , but I guess removing a few nicks and burrs will keep you busy rebuilding the carburetor during cold days that would keep you indoors. Plus it saves quite a few $ ! Money saved is money earned!! Have a Great evening and better Luck the next time!!!
Thanks Americo. I'm pretty sure rebuilding the carb will do the trick, and like you said, It will keep me indoors on one of the colder days 🥶 It sounded like it was running fine on the ether so it's real close!
Correct! It's not there. And the flange on the carburetor is pretty dinged up as well. It makes me wonder about the rest of the carburetor! But never fear, I'm going to rebuild it hopefully this next week -- whenever the rebuild kit gets here. With all of the repairs I put in, it should be a very reliable tractor!

It will pull the brush hog (when we get one), spread fertilizer, and spray weed killer in our three pastures. I am trying to make the tractor as reliable as possible -- I want it to start and run every time -- so I am putting a few dollars and some time to get it to that point. It has new oil, hydraulic fluid, plugs, a 12-volt conversion, new plug wires, distributor cap, electronic ignition, powerful coil, alternator, battery, steering wheel, and an original style seat. It looks as though it will run after I take care of the filthy carburetor, but there seems to always be something else that goes wrong. 😐
I have to assemble an eliptical today so I watched you for mechanical inspiration
Well I'm glad I could be an inspiration! I hope all goes well!

Good afternoon all. Will be good when it finally fires up, it's a great feeling when it does, see you tomorrow.

Great job Mark your almost there.

Getting close!
I’m curious, you can do so many things, what is your primary strength/interest?
Great question!
Thanks Samlon! When it starts, I'm going for a drive in the snow 😊

@@PlanetMojo Well yeah!!! It’ll be well deserved. 👍

Almost there!
I sure hope so! If the carb rebuild goes smooth I believe it will start and run 🤞
Music to your ears, now if we could just hear more than two notes! The end is near!
Well... if the carb rebuild doesn't do it, there may be a vapor lock, but I do believe we're almost there!
Hey I didn't see the carb to intake manifold gasket
