I’m an Australian 62 yo woman and not only did I watch the entire debate but I did it with my mouth fully opened in shocked horror over the never ending preposterous lies that were not being challenged by the moderators. It was very confronting. WTF America? Seriously a 3rd world country now.

Trump kept firing people who wouldn't let him do what he wants. This time, Trump will solely hire people who are willing to break the law like he wants.
Also Trump has put in 3 judges who turn a blind eye to corruption and engage in pay to play themselves. At least 2, probably 3 of our Supreme Court judges can be bought.
Finally, altho' briefly, there are corporate media and loads of partisan media willing to tell Trump's lies and propaganda while Trump threatens to close down or charge in court any media that disagrees with him. That's not free speech.
These are but a few of the reasons. Sounds like South Korea or Russia to me. (both of which have leaders Trump idolizes.) Please listen to what people who are saying Trump wants to be a fascist are talking about and think about your choice in Nov. What country do you want your children or grandchildren to live in?

I was curious as to why Trump had always been so popular, with blacks, Oprah, and suddenly he was so hated?by everyone on the left. It is not the responsibility of the moderators to fact check or challenge debaters. That is the job of the opponent in the debate. They have an obligation to ensure the candidate answers the question posed and not dodge it if possible.

These guys are not journalists either. If they were they would know that a former governor of Virginia did support post-birth abortions (allowing an infant to die AFTER it had been born---in other words, the correct term is "infanticide". It was never made into a law, but he certainly gave his support to such an eventuality. which is what Trump pointed out. And even ultra-liberal Ruth Bader Ginsberg admitted publicly that Roe vs. Wade was a bad law, along with many other legal scholars on both sides. It may not have been a "majority" but there were certainly enough to question the wisdom of that law.
With that in mind, nothing that is said here is accurate. There are a lot of suggestions and insinuations made, but they are tweaking the truth as democrats usually do, to serve their own ends. shame on all of you! If you wish to call yourself "journalists" at least do some research before opening your yaps!

You're right: Trump is clearly unwell. His speech following the debate, compared to Biden 's epic speech in North Carolina (you should listen to it, it's great), was must another rambling mess that many in his audience clearly weren't up to following. Biden's glitches come in small doses; Trump's glitches flood out of him just as his self-delusional lies do.

I always thought it was Trump, with his constantly irrelevant and increasingly rambling speeches, these notable for the way he frequently trips over his own tongue, who showed signs of there being something wrong.

@@6ftb394 I’m amazed at how many people keep asking this question. No real time fact checking was part of the rules of the debate. That wasn’t CNNs fault, they were hamstrung. If Biden’s team knew he was having this tough of a time they shouldn’t have agreed to the rules of this debate.

By the way, right when the debate ended did everyone see trump immediately "just walk off back behind the stage" and left... no shaking hands no nothing, he just "walked away" . Now president Biden "stayed" and shook hands with both Tapper and Bash and thanked them and he was courteous and had manners, though I must say I don't think tapper nor bash deserved Biden's "acknowledgement'..
