Really good review. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve thought that without Woody Shaw it would’ve been just so so not a masterpiece! I am not a “big fan” of the jazz organ but it’s fun to imagine if this album would’ve Sounded like with a piano instead. ..Nevertheless a very unique album in the blue now at cannon well reviewed. Cheers!
Great review. I initially disliked this album at first compared to into somethin I found the horns too abrasive on my ears however ive done a 180. I love the sound it's a beautiful album. Its a masterpiece. 5 out of 5 from me.
I was at one point in the 1980s a budding 'Sovietologist.' My parents visited the USSR around that time and I asked them to pick one up if they could find one. It wasn't too hard!
@@TenMinuteRecordReviews I'm younger than you, had a professor in college who got a Phd in Soviet Economics. Thought he was going to work for the government and enjoy some travel. Well, he defended his dissertation in 1989, lol. Long story short- he's been teaching ever since.
I’ve always preferred Into Somethin but this is fantastic
