I decided, about 3 years ago, to only wear dresses. I have 14 for F/W and 14 for S/S. I wear the dress hanging on the left side of the row and rehang on the right side. No more morning thinking or finding pieces to go together. If I need modesty or warmth, I add leggings underneath. I only wear 1 style of dress so only have to choose the fabric pattern I like.
This is a terrific video. I’m 66, have chronic fatigue syndrome, regular diverticulitis attacks and several other chronic illnesses. I’d rate 4.5 stars. My capsule reflects my life. I posted it on Instagram (different name) and someone questioned why I bought 4 pair of black pants exactly the same. The fit, fabric and style are perfect for me. I just bought 2 more in dark grey and when my 3 navy pair wear out, I will replace them with the exact same. They’re dressy casual and that’s my style. Most important they don’t bring on diverticulitis attacks or become uncomfortable when I’m in one. I had to say a reluctant goodbye to jeans and zippers. I use those 3 neutrals a lot and add a lot of white or off white in my tops. A neutral core. I have several pretty purses including one in a favourite accent colour- and that’s another thing- I have specific accent colours that I regularly use. I ignore stuff in colours I don’t wear - speeds up decisions. I use those colours and prints in my tops or my silk scarf collection. I love wool and cotton pullovers and cardigans. Usually in my neutrals to create a column in navy, black or dark grey or in my specific accents. Black socks and loafers. It’s my “uniform” and it’s perfect for me. I just bought a charcoal grey cashmere crew neck sweater on Black Friday that I am really looking forward to styling with my silk scarves and my dressy casual pants. I’ve had it on my wish list for a while now hoping it would be on the sales.
One thing that I've noticed myself decluttering in recent months are any clothes that feel differently when trying them on at home after the first initial wear in the fitting room. Sometimes the fit or feel of the garment just becomes more noticeable the second time I try it on... Other than that, I love how these tips are very useful and practical! One pro tip I would add is that even though wearing your "fantasy self" clothes may not be the most practical for everyday life, it doesn't hurt to get more wear out of the things you have that you'd typically only wear once or twice a year for special events. Life's too short to just wear the same thing every day, so I think that dressing your best and feeling your best every day is important 😊
People have fantasy stuff they NEVER have the opportunity to wear, like party dresses when you don't go to parties and summer dresses when it's never warm enough.
Ah I can relate to things feeling differently when trying on at home, vs in the store. Maybe also because when I'm in the store, I'm already overstimulated by everything going on, so it's hard to really get a good sense of the item at that moment. A good reason to keep the tags on for a little while after getting home, so you can always return them a few days later if you change your mind. Also, love the pro tip, you're absolutely right :)
I used to feel bad about being a top, jeans & sneakers girl too! I would shop only for my fantasy self and most of my clothes were sitting in my wardrobe untouched. This year I finally bought items that fits this personal style and now I feel sooo good! Thank you these are such good advices and I love your wardrobe ❤
Decluttering is definitely the most important step to a minimalist wardrobe. It felt so good to get rid of clothes that didn’t fit or I didn’t like. I would now give my wardrobe a 4 out of 5 and it took me a year to get to this point. Another helpful habit for me when shopping online is to always wait until the next day before checking out. I put items in the shopping cart and sleep over it. This prevents impulse purchases that you would regret the next day.
Five years ago I had my second child and ended up staying home. I took the opportunity to fully revamp my closet. I donated all my work attire. I’m also a very casual dresser. I started out small with a few pieces on rotation. Now my wardrobe is an exact representation of who I am and my life now. Clean and simple comfort. I also now value quality over quantity. My last leg in my race was finally letting go of all my shoes that didn’t fit after my pregnancy. I’m definitely more mindful when replacing items. I got rid of 8 pairs of shoes but only purchased 4 to replace them. I’m giving mine a 4.5/5.
I give my wardrobe five stars. I respect my style. I haven't had jeans in years (I hate them). No white t-shirts either. I wear dresses or tunics over leggings. I keep one pair of pants for mental security in the back of my closet, but I never wear them 🙂
My wardrobe is a 5 out of 5. I love everything in it and feel good in each and every piece when I put it on. When I go shopping for new attire I won't buy the item if I am not 100% sure. It doesn't matter how good it looks on display, what matters is how I feel wearing it. I also create a wish list for clothing that goes with my classic style so it negates buyers remorse.
I used to buy whatever was touted on UA-cam! I had a closet full of clothes I didn't reach for. This is when I learned about the concept of buying for your actual self, vs buying for my fantasy self! Life changing!!
My wardrobe is 3.5/5. I have more than I need for my current lifestyle, but after decluttering, I like what I have left. Over the years I did choose to keep some of my favorite too-small items. I’m now losing weight and I recently was able to shop my closet for smaller jeans. That felt really good. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world.
I give my wardrobe 1 star I just began to declutter all unuseful clothes. I hope that in few days my wardrobe will range 3 stars 😊❤ Thank you for sharing your experience
Omg. This vedio came at the perfect time🤗 I had donated most of my wordeob because at 37 I figured if I can't lose the 23 pounds in a year no reason to keep clothing that dose not fit. But now I only have 12 suites for work and nothing for home, I want to be mindful of what I bring into my wordeob and just take it slow.
I have this problem that I like some clothes one day and another day I don't and then I like it again (and it's not always the cloth fault but mine, that I don't always have an open mind) So I chose a little different approach - I got rid of old (worn out) clothes and then - because for me comfort comes first - I decided to look for nice inspirations of cosy, casual yet more elegant (meaning classic) "what to wear" pictures on internet and I discovered I could use what I had to create that look. And it works. Sometimes I just need to tuck my cardigan into my jeans. Or choose another t-shirt. My wardrobe is like a tiny tiny shop (I don't have many clothes, tried to create and maintain capsule wardrobe). And I stick to basics. Thank you for the video, as always it's great to listen to you and to see you 🧡
I have a very small wardrobe, which is almost a uniform as I've found a style I like and I wear it all the time. I'd say it's 4 star. ⭐ I'd give it a 5 but some items are becoming a little worse for wear and I'm going to need to replace them soon. I think the idea of trying things on before decluttering them or buying something new is fantastic and has helped me a lot in the past. Glad you are feeling a lot better Vera. 😊
Great video. I'm glad you're feeling better. I did a hard declutter during COVID, then refurbished my wardrobe with a few dressy bamboo T-shirts from a local sustainable store, Blue Sky Clothing. Plus 2 pairs of jeans and 2 yoga type pants from other sources and one pair of pencil pants for dress. That and a hoodie are my core. My wardrobe fits in a 2 foot wide closet and one drawer and that's all I need. Navy and black with a few red accents. I'm set.
I feel great about my wardrobe. I had to buy quite a lot of cloths as I lost a lot of weight due to illness. I started this spring to look at/listen to lots of minimalists, ecofriendly and shop your own closet youtuber/ instagrammers and desided to have a small curated wardrobe in town. I love to get dressed, figure out new combinations and plan new perchases! Our flat in town is little and wardrobe space scarse so I can’t have lots of cloths there but the ones I have I feel fantastic in 😊
I’m in process of building a more functional minimal wardrobe. I’m figuring out what I like/works the best. I had barely any long sleeve shirts for everyday uniform wear and I bought quite a few from a company I love when on sale. I never buy items on sale anymore bc of the energy around it- but I went ahead w it. I love the shirts (organic hemp cotton blend) but now received organic cotton long sleeve shirt for Xmas and realizing I adore appreciate the softness. So now I realize I have too many hemp cotton long sleeves😮 I’m learning.
Lovely video, as always! I personally find your simple wardrobe quite clean and elegant. Nowadays, I prioritize comfort and sustainability... For me, it's important that the brand that I buy from is environmentally friendly. This means that I can't necessarily buy everything that I find fashionable, but it also means that I feel better about my choices and think carefully about them... Because I cherish these clothes, I'm also more thoughtful about the way that I care for them.
I took ßome years to realise that not all bright colours suit me- I worked out which colours bring a glow for my skin tone and now buy neutrals and the few bright ones that work. I go into the store to see the item. I pick what I likened try them on then decide which one I like the most thinking of my budget
Your video gave me more clarity about what to declutter next in my wardrobe. I would rate it as 3.5 at the moment because I'm still hanging on to pieces that don't fit. I have lovely core clothes that are casual, comfortable and I like the autumn colours like sage, mustard, turquoise and soft orange which suit my skin tone. Your video inspired me to keep adjusting my closet. Thank you Vera. 💖
I am retired and am learning to make the change to more casual clothing but I still like being a little dressed up. I have recently bought 4 dresses as I was getting tired of 👖 pants. The shoes are amazing I have 6 pairs and they are just devine thankyou for sharing.
Great video as always Vera! I was excited to check this one out, it came at a good time for me. I am 26 years old and my body has changed a lot in the past few years in shape and size. I still have a lot of clothes from when I was in my late teens and early twenties and they really are just getting too small and/or unflattering for my body now. And of course during the pandemic I fell into wearing yoga pants and t-shirts all the time which didn't help me feel good about myself in the long run! So this is one of those times where I feel it is actually necessary to get new clothes. My problem is, for most of my life I have worn hand-me-down clothes, which are great in their own way and I appreciate people's generosity, but I never was able to develop a sense of individual style. So this is going to be quite an undertaking for me! I will try to be intentional and critical as I pick out some new pieces for myself.
I’d give my wardrobe 2-1/2 stars. Very helpful! I’m going to go through my wardrobe again and use your tips. I really want to pare down my clothes, especially clothes that don’t suit my lifestyle or are too small.
Thank you Vera for the sound advice about sticking to your own style. I feel like I'm often pressured to be "dressier," but I would truly just like to be comfortable and practical. On that scale I rate my wardrobe as a 9.
So glad you are feeling better and that you took time to care for yourself! I hope your full energy continues to return. I would rate my wardrobe 3/5 right now. I have come a long way decluttering and downsizing. Now I am trying to build an intensional “capsule type” wardrobe (not to the 33 count extreme yet, but much less...and who knows?) I crave ease of decision when I get dressed but fear not looking appropriate for occasions or being prepared for drastic fluctuations in weather where I live, sometimes within days from freezing to 70’s. But you have taught me these are not insurmountable challenges and so I am making progress and celebrating small victories and being more intentional overall. Thank you so much!!
I am happy with my wardrobe and rate it a 4. One thing I have done to better know the items I have and use them all is that I put all the newly washed clothes in the back of the pile for that item (like t-shirts) and when I am to decide what to wear I first look at the items at the top of the pile. The items at the top are most likely those that it was the longest time since I wore and I am usually happy to wear it again. This also helps to remove the feeling of always wearing the same few items every time ☺️
This video really inspired me so much! I am relatively happy with my wardrobe but I have a hard time finding t-shirts that actually fit. And I have quite a few items that don't fit that will be decluttered. Glad you're feeling better now Vera ❤
Great video! I would give my wardrobe a... 3/5, probably. I think I'm on the right track, but I still have some pieces that were gifts, made by my mom, or were larger purchases, that I have a hard time judging--there's no reason NOT to wear them, but I just... don't. 🙈 They should probably be cut, but I'm not quite ready. I think your assessment is right, though! You've really curated your wardrobe wonderfully, I'm hoping within the next couple of years I can reach the same for myself!
Heart of Kentucky. SIMPLE HAPPY ZEN. Good morning VERA in the NETHERLANDS. So good to see you again. I'm working on my wardrobe too. I need clothes, so I've been shopping. I'm going to try everything on, as you suggested, and see if there are items I need to give away. I hope you have a blessed day. We love you. Katie.
I would give my closet a 2 out of 5! I have some nice pieces but not really what I want so I think I'm going to save this video & after Christmas do what you said & get my clothes working for me again Thanks Vera 😍
Glad you are feeling better! How I rate my wardrobe was actually a hard question haha as I really had to think about it. I finally gave it a 2.5 so I guess I have some work to do on it. 😁
Hi Vera. Not been around for a while can't wait to get stick into this video. Hope you are well lots of love xxx omg loving the footwear xxx pps. I buy for my body shape but in sustainable materials and mostly 2nd hand but lovely quality xxx
Good to see that you are doing better Vera ❤. Decluttering my wardrobe is one of the things I still have to do. I do have my own style already for at least 40 years. I don’t look at what other people wear or what is fashionable but just only buy whatever I like. But a lot of my clothes are too small because I gained a lot of weight and I know I should not keep these clothes but I always keep my hopes up to loose this weight and then enjoy these clothes again. It’s hard to find clothes in my style so I don’t want to let go of them but it is also very hard to loose weight being depressed already for years. Still every day I keep hoping it will work out this time 😅.
Thank you! :) Also yes, that's a tricky one. I think a good question to ask yourself is if this piece of clothing deserves a place in your future, regardless of the past
As a minimalist, how long do you think it takes from a highly consuming lifestyle to become a minimalist? I've started the journey a few months ago and have reached awesome results so far, but still have a lot to do.
So many awesome points that you made Vera, I wrote them all down and went through my closet and went over all these questions, it truly helps to remember to buy what your comfortable in because you’ll always put them on. My wardrobe is about a 4 I would say, it needs a little help but it’s getting easier as I continue to work on it and applying these tips. My goal is not quantity but quality! ✅
Thanks. This was helpful. I'd rate my wardrobe at two and a half. I'm missing some needed items, and I have many hand-me-downs I need to decide what to do with.
Great video and you have definitely found your own style that you love. I rate my wardrobe 7/10. I only recently found my color season and decluttered all the items that were not my color except black that i wear more than I would like, just because I happen to own a lot of black but haven’t replace it yet and I own a black coat from my grammas that I love even though it’s black. I also like quality stuff so it will take a while to get “there”. But already I feel more stylish and good about natural materials and simplicity . I would love to incorporate more natural shades, greys, pinks and browns in cool tones to soften the look.
Hi Vera! Glad to see you feeling better! ☺Your video comes at a perfect time for me! I need to rebuild my winter wardrobe because most of what I have is either worn out or “sad-looking” if that is a word! What I mean by that is that when I put on those items, I don’t feel good, I don’t like the style. So to answer your question, I would rate my actual winter wardrobe a 1/5! I renewed my summer wardrobe last summer, and I would rate it a 3/5. I made some bad purchases due to the insistence of the sales lady, exactly like you mentioned! I have already decluttered my winter wardrobe, exactly 2 weeks ago!, and I’m now ready to complete what is missing. Your tips will greatly help me to choose! What I’ve learned from this summer’s wardrobe mistakes is that I need to only buy things that I feel comfortable in, otherwise I don’t wear them! Comfort, to me, is key! But I also need to take more time to think about what it is that I like before buying! Thanks for a great video! Take care and have a great week!🤩💚💙
I think I could be a minimalist in nearly every area except fashion. Since I was very young fashion styling has been naturally very exciting to me. Fashion is an art form to me. The creative style options are endless! As an adult I minored in fashion in college, & worked in various roles in the modeling & fashion retail industries for most of my adult life. Fashion styling is truly my top passion in fun creative artistic interests! Therefore my wardrobe has always been an unmanageable beast! Lol I also like to design & sew… But over all of the years I have found that I do lean towards one personal style genre which is a vintage eclectic (like free people) which means that the older pieces are even better than the new so I never like to let anything go! Lol My fashion passion also spills over into interior decor so that has been a beast as well but now not so much. I was able to let go of the decor stuff but still & maybe never the clothing!
3/5 I have most of the tops I could want or need but the high waisted curvy fit summer color bottom struggle is real. Maybe a cushioned pair of gray flats. Being content and not trying to have that "perfect" or fantasy whatever really does help.
Hi Vera, I'm a new subscriber and very happy I found your channel😊 you're so down to earth. I already live a pretty minimalist lifestyle and still, your tip with the list of what I like about my favorite clothing items motivated me on the spot. What a great idea. Just went through all my clothes and within maybe 30min had a great list and decluttered around 20 items (including underwear items). And it was so easy with that list thing. The clarity in my mind was there thanks to the list. Thanks a lot for the tip🎉 hug from Switzerland
Yayyy I'm so happy that you like your light summer colour palette, I commented about it under your last video on clothes, I'm happy that it sticked with you :) I think you naturally gravitated toward it, but it's fun to have a label to it :) My closet is currently 4/5 it needs a decluttering 😅
I am happiest wearing gym leggings and T tops around the house. Even when going out during the day, I just put a light jacket over them, with a pair of sneakers…colours mostly black, grey and beige…keeping it simple..👌🏽
Thanks Vera, this is a very helpful video. I am working on my wardrobe a long time now. I have the goal to have a wardrobe with only good pieces in it. It is hard to get there. I gained weight, my body changed and trying to find out what I feel comfortable in is not so easy. The stores I used to shop do not offer clothes for my bodytype anymore and it is kind of annoying to find new brands that fit. Also I work and I am a Mom so I need items for both roles. And I live in a climate with four seasons… so many criteria 😅. I am about halfway through my wardrobe now and it has already gotten easier. So at the moment I would rate my wardrobe with ⭐️⭐️ but getting better.
superleuke video en handige tips :) welke kledingstoffen draag jij het liefst? Ik draag het liefst Katoen ik heb bijna al mijn polyester kleding de deur uit gedaan.
Great video! I think my closet is 3/5, 'cause I do have enough clothes, but the ones that are not getting really worn out don't really fit my style (and I don't have the money to 'replace' the ones I do use the most). The frugal part of me likes to use clothes until they are riping apart, even if it makes me feel cheap 🥺 Counted and currently have about 60 itens (including pj's, bikini and accessories)
Great video! The tips were clear and helpful, and I was able to share this video with some friends who often struggle with making good purchases and liking their wardrobe in general. Personally, I rate my minimalist wardrobe at 3+ stars. I sew about 70% of my own clothes (I like things to fit me the way I want). This makes my purchases (for ready made clothes or fabric + patterns) take a little more thought. It's difficult for me to break out of routines, so I appreciated your point about #6, versatility, a lot. I also like to try on everything, but for me, I've found I make the best decisions when I am at home to try the garment on with the other pieces in my wardrobe to be sure it works with what I want it to. I think you're right that it's good to figure out what helps each of us make good choices on clothes. This video was definitely worth the wait! :)
I would rate my wardrobe on a 4, because I love dresses (comfortable ones) and it’s very difficult to find them the way I like. However, I am very happy with what I own. I love my comfortable skirts, my smooth sweaters, my summer dresses and my comfortable coats. I don’t like to wear jeans or trousers in general, I don’t feel comfortable, so I don’t have them. I don’t have high heels, never wore them. I love cardigans and shawls. And I love colourful clothes. My students ask me if I am a hippie 😂🤣, which is so fun! I buy before I declutter, though. Because if I don’t find what I want, I still have those clothes until I replace them. But, once I buy them, I donate everything I don’t need or want. Yesterday I bought 7 items. I bought them secondhand, in a shop where I usually go, and I am going to donate 12 items. I hate a cluttered wardrobe. When I like something, but it’s a bit worn out, I wear it at home. Love your videos. Love from Portugal 💙♥️💜🧡💗🖤💚❤️💛
I would give me a 2 on my closet. I have many things I love to wear and an abundance of clothing I’ve hung onto simply because I thought I might wear….sometime. I’m retired now and still own many of my favorite outfits and I will literally never wear again. I’ve been de-cluttering the house; it’s time to hit the closet!
My wardrobe is 3,5/5 - it's going in the right direction but also I find it hard to divide the "my style" from "the style I would like to have". Hopefully it will work out soon :)
Hello, Thank you for your video, happy you're getting better, my father was a doctor, always says eat oranges to preserve from the flu or to recover from. I'm like you, 4 stars and a half, because I'd like have 2 specific dresses, I've found a form that fit me in the end of summer, but this purchase will wait until next summer. For this season, I'm good, but maybe I will get rid off some items if I find that theu are not good anymore. Kiss from South of France
I have such a hard time with style because I go to art school and get messy while doing my work. I also bike to school in all kinds of weather, so no skirts and I’m likely to get mud splatters. There’s so many beautiful things I would like to wear, but they don’t fit with my lifestyle. I even have a bunch of pretty clothes in my closet that I hardly wear because they’ll get ruined.
I would give mine maybe 2,5 of 5 because I am not happy with it, but it kind of works okay...I would love to improve it and I really found these tips helpful!✨ I am curious to know what changes would make your closet a 5-star, since you only give it 4,5? 😊
Thank you Aina! Happy you found the tips helpful. For now, the only thing I really need to upgrade about my wardrobe is my underwear hahaha. It's kind of old (read: really old) and doesn't really fit perfectly since I lost some weight. So the only thing I still want to improve is my undies haha, then it would be a 5-star closet for me :) Wishing you the best with your wardrobe goals!
@@SimpleHappyZen I understand, that is one of the areas I need to improve too, haha :) It is not the easiest clothing items to shop for! I wish you good luck reaching for your 5 stars :D
I'd rate my wardrobe about a 2/5. There are plenty of things that no longer fit that I've been holding on to in the hopes that I'd lose the weight...it's been a couple years though. Probably time to accept my body as it is and let them go. Thanks for the video!
I rate my wardrobe a 3/5. I am still trying to declutter. I used to be a size 10 and loved clothing, I am now a 14 and I have trouble knowing what looks good on me. I mostly just wear jeans, joggers, tees and sweaters.
I'm still looking for a nice dress shoe company that doesn't have such a narrow toe box area😕 . Having such a narrow pointed toe box is extremely bad for your feet, and that's what gave me a bunion that I'm trying hard to heal. It's NOT how our feet are shaped naturally, but dress shoes are almost all shaped that way, in the name of fashion. *Sigh.
Everyone, thank you for being patient with me while I recovered from the flu. 🙂 I feel a lot better now!
A big thanks to VIVAIA for partnering up with me for this video. Check them out here: bit.ly/3VfreTR and use my code【ZEN20】to get 20% ~30% OFF.
Please share a pic of the dress style.
What a great idea!
I like your ideas.
I LOVE this idea. Thanks for the tip. Yes a pic would be great to see.
That is such a good idea, I’m going to aim to implement this! 👗
I think your style is perfect. You and Happy Zen have yourselves on a practical and good looking look. I need to work on that. Thank you.

Great tip! Thanks for sharing Erika. Happy to hear you're happy with your wardrobe
Five years ago I had my second child and ended up staying home. I took the opportunity to fully revamp my closet. I donated all my work attire. I’m also a very casual dresser.
Sounds awesome!! Way to go :)
Glad you are feeling better!
Thanks Debra :) Have a happy Monday!
I used to buy whatever was touted on UA-cam! I had a closet full of clothes I didn't reach for. This is when I learned about the concept of buying for your actual self, vs buying for my fantasy self! Life changing!!
So important :) Thanks for sharing Tami
My wardrobe is 3.5/5. I have more than I need for my current lifestyle, but after decluttering, I like what I have left. Over the years I did choose to keep some of my favorite too-small items. I’m now losing weight and I recently was able to shop my closet for smaller jeans. That felt really good. I love your videos. Thank you for sharing your wisdom with the world.
I give my wardrobe 1 star
I just began to declutter all unuseful clothes.
I hope that in few days my wardrobe will range 3 stars 😊❤
Thank you for sharing your experience
Omg. This vedio came at the perfect time🤗
I had donated most of my wordeob because at 37 I figured if I can't lose the 23 pounds in a year no reason to keep clothing that dose not fit. But now I only have 12 suites for work and nothing for home, I want to be mindful of what I bring into my wordeob and just take it slow.
I have this problem that I like some clothes one day and another day I don't and then I like it again (and it's not always the cloth fault but mine, that I don't always have an open mind)
So I chose a little different approach - I got rid of old (worn out) clothes and then - because for me comfort comes first - I decided to look for nice inspirations of cosy, casual yet more elegant (meaning classic) "what to wear" pictures on internet and I discovered I could use what I had to create that look. And it works. Sometimes I just need to tuck my cardigan into my jeans. Or choose another t-shirt. My wardrobe is like a tiny tiny shop (I don't have many clothes, tried to create and maintain capsule wardrobe). And I stick to basics.
Thank you for the video, as always it's great to listen to you and to see you 🧡
Great, thanks for sharing Kinga!! :) Have a great day
When I buy clothes, I make 3 outfits each out of them and photograph them for future reference, so I never get bored.
Awesome!! Thanks Chris :) Have a great day!
I'm set.
Why do people say " during COVID"? It's a permanent virus, it's still here.
This video is so helpful. Trying to minimize in all areas of my life and this is an area that I haven't thought about. Thank you
Happy to hear you found the video helpful Dorothy, good luck with minimizing!
I'm happier with my wardrobe then I was a few years ago- thanks for sharing your wardrobe journey 💗
Happy to hear it! :) Have a great day
I feel great about my wardrobe.
Hahaha it's a work in progress :) The shirts sound wonderful!
Vera I'm also a jean and top woman. That's what I'm most comfortable wearing. Thanks for the lovely video.❤
Ah nice!! :) Thanks Cathy
All great points, thanks for sharing Charlotte! 🤗🌱💕
I took ßome years to realise that not all bright colours suit me- I worked out which colours bring a glow for my skin tone and now buy neutrals and the few bright ones that work. I go into the store to see the item. I pick what I likened try them on then decide which one I like the most thinking of my budget
It's so helpful to know which colors work for us :)
I really like this. I’m now 42 and am happy with my style and the colours/fabrics I choose. My wardrobe is a 3/5. I’m ok with that. X
If you're happy with it, that's the most important thing :)
I am retired and am learning to make the change to more casual clothing but I still like being a little dressed up. I have recently bought 4 dresses as I was getting tired of 👖 pants. The shoes are amazing I have 6 pairs and they are just devine thankyou for sharing.
Thank you so much Freda! New chapters in our life might also mean a change in our wardrobe :)
Awesome, good luck Marjie!!
Thank you Vera for the sound advice about sticking to your own style. I feel like I'm often pressured to be "dressier," but I would truly just like to be comfortable and practical. On that scale I rate my wardrobe as a 9.
That's awesome!! :)
Glad you are feeling better😍
Thanks Kathye :) Have a great day!
Love that, thank you so much for sharing!! Wishing you all the best with your wardrobe goals :)
Thanks, Vera, for your content. So applicable...❤
This also helps to remove the feeling of always wearing the same few items every time ☺️
Clever! :)
This video really inspired me so much! I am relatively happy with my wardrobe but I have a hard time finding t-shirts that actually fit. And I have quite a few items that don't fit that will be decluttered.
Glad you're feeling better now Vera ❤
Happy to hear you found the video helpful :) Take care and have a lovely week!
Great video, Vera! I like the 2nd point the most. Know what you like. So obvious and so hard! Plan for the weekend: declutter my closet!
Thanks so much, wishing you lots of luck with decluttering!
Thanks so much for sharing Liesl, wishing you lots of luck with those pieces! Feel free to hang on to them if you're not ready :)
Happy to hear the video gave you some helpful tips, wishing you lots of luck with your wardrobe goals after the holidays!
Glad you are feeling better! How I rate my wardrobe was actually a hard question haha as I really had to think about it. I finally gave it a 2.5 so I guess I have some work to do on it. 😁
Haha glad the video made you think!! :) Wishing you lots of luck with your wardrobe goals
Hi Vera. Not been around for a while can't wait to get stick into this video. Hope you are well lots of love xxx omg loving the footwear xxx pps. I buy for my body shape but in sustainable materials and mostly 2nd hand but lovely quality xxx
Thanks so much for sharing and welcome back to the channel! :) Have a happy Monday
Good video , Vera.
For me : comfortable , that is my style !
😉
P.S. My wardrobe is 4.5 stars in my opinion .
Sounds great!!! :)
Me too. I need to lose weight I don't want to lose more clothes. I've donated enough in the past.
Thanks Vera! Glad you are feeling better. I am struggling with regrets about 'I used to be able to wear it' though...
Wow awesome, thank you Joan!!! Have a wonderful day!
I'm definitely going to check out VIVAIA. I love things made of recycled materials.
Happy to hear it! :)
Thanks. This was helpful. I'd rate my wardrobe at two and a half. I'm missing some needed items, and I have many hand-me-downs I need to decide what to do with.
Wishing you the best with your wardrobe goals! :)
Thanks so much for sharing, have a happy Monday!
Your Vivaia shoes are looking very nice..the flats, boots and the white sneakers are so classy and beautiful, love it 😍
Thanks Sanja! :) I love them too
Lol
I also like to design & sew…
But over all of the years I have found that I do lean towards one personal style genre which is a vintage eclectic (like free people) which means that the older pieces are even better than the new so I never like to let anything go! Lol
My fashion passion also spills over into interior decor so that has been a beast as well but now not so much.
I was able to let go of the decor stuff but still & maybe never the clothing!
Thanks for sharing Crystal, sounds like you have a true passion for it :)
3/5 I have most of the tops I could want or need but the high waisted curvy fit summer color bottom struggle is real. Maybe a cushioned pair of gray flats. Being content and not trying to have that "perfect" or fantasy whatever really does help.
I agree! Thanks for sharing :)
Aw wow, that's so awesome!! 😄🥰 Congrats, way to go!! Glad you found the tips in the video helpful 😊 Take care and have a great day!!!
Oh, thank you for replying! Really made my day. I wish you a great day too😄🥰
Yayyy I'm so happy that you like your light summer colour palette, I commented about it under your last video on clothes, I'm happy that it sticked with you :) I think you naturally gravitated toward it, but it's fun to have a label to it :)
My closet is currently 4/5 it needs a decluttering 😅
Haha yes, it definitely stuck with me and it's been very helpful for me already :) Thanks again for that tip last time :)
Thanks so much for sharing Corinne, sure sounds like a lot of work is going into it, but happy to hear it's getting easier :) Good luck!!!
Hi Vera my wardrobe definitely needs some work? Probably a 2.5! Thanks for sharing and glad your feeling a lot better ❤️
Thanks for sharing Therese, wishing you all the best with your wardrobe goals! :)
@@SimpleHappyZen thanks Vera 😉
I buy one top and one bottom (skirt or pants) once a year.
thank you for giving neccsary information
Another great video Vera 👍🏻
superleuke video en handige tips :) welke kledingstoffen draag jij het liefst? Ik draag het liefst Katoen ik heb bijna al mijn polyester kleding de deur uit gedaan.
Very helpful video with lots of great tips, thank you 😊
Happy to hear it, thanks Penny! :)
Great video! I think my closet is 3/5, 'cause I do have enough clothes, but the ones that are not getting really worn out don't really fit my style (and I don't have the money to 'replace' the ones I do use the most). The frugal part of me likes to use clothes until they are riping apart, even if it makes me feel cheap 🥺
Counted and currently have about 60 itens (including pj's, bikini and accessories)
Definitely always a tricky decision between frugality and using up what you have, but also wanting to feel good in the clothes we wear
Vera hi 👋 loved this video & I think you have chosen your pieces well.🥰
Thanks so much Sharon 🤗🌱💕
Hi Vera. How are you ? Nicely explained topic. 💯 Clarity.
Great. Enjoy moments 🎉🎉
3 stars can use some work.☺️
Good luck! 🤗💕
Wishing you lots of luck with your decluttering goals Marti! :) You can do it :)
My wardrobe is 3,5/5 - it's going in the right direction but also I find it hard to divide the "my style" from "the style I would like to have". Hopefully it will work out soon :)
Thanks for sharing Aleksandra, wishing you lots of luck with your wardrobe! :)
Hello,
Thank you for your video, happy you're getting better, my father was a doctor, always says eat oranges to preserve from the flu or to recover from.
Thanks as always
I'd like my wardrobe better if I too lost 15 pounds. I need to work on that before I redo my wardrobe. You look really good with your wait loss.
4 and half stars
That's a good score :)
I'm back yo my happy place!
I rate my wardrobe a 3/5. I am still trying to declutter. I used to be a size 10 and loved clothing, I am now a 14 and I have trouble knowing what looks good on me. I mostly just wear jeans, joggers, tees and sweaters.
4 or 5
Nice! :)
*Sigh.
Your name Vera is quite popular in Russia. And it means faith)
