When I think about it Oscar didn't do Devin wrong. Oscar knew what Devin was really worth and wrote the contract accordingly and in the end was ultimately right. It was Devin who was trying to inflate his worth
Devin couldn’t leverage a cut from the gross. He didn’t invest his own money in the fight and nor is he a draw. Fannon is just scavenging to find something to criticize Haney.

@@roccomcbride752 He is suing Golden Boy because he claims that Ryan’s purse, that was forfeited, is a net profit from the event that entitles him to a percentage under Devin’s contract with Golden Boy. Since Golden Boy didn’t give Devin a cut from it, Devin contends Golden Boy breached. I think that’s a loser.

Yeah, I just can't see how anyone would want to do business with Devin. All that hopping around with promotional companies ultimately wasn't a smart move. He has no promoter nor a network, and now he's suing Ryan, who everyone saw beat Devin. If he loses this case, which I believe he will, that will put the nail 😮 in the coffin ⚰️

Not sure why you saying that Oscar acted shady with Haneys, Oscar isn't obligated to look after Haney he is not his promoter he is to look out for Ryan, so if Haney signs the contract that is on him.
Here's the thing. Traditionally in Boxing, a Boxer would never think about this. What he would think about is a rematch? I've been watching Boxing since the early 70's. What you do is a rematch and kick his butt. However, this is a new generation of kids. But you have to stick with what got you here in the 1st place. And that's Boxing. Don't sue someone if you can't protect your chin? Devin got caught over and over with a left hook/check hook. You definitely switch trainers, because that's Ryan's favorite punch. How can you not be ready. Ryan is fast? Probably fastest hands in Boxing. Devin needs to check the replay and be honest with himself. Because each time Devin went to the canvass. He never saw the punch? After the 1st check hook in the 1st or 2nd round that rocked him. You have to make the adjustments. Devin never made the adjustments. And in Boxing. If you can't see the punch. You'll findout later when you're on the canvass. Devin kept falling into a novice trap? Ryan pawed with his jab and was half way to his chin for the check hook. ✔️ the steroids had NOTHING to do with Ryan's speed. Ryan knew he was on peds when they signed the second contact and didn’t say anything.. he could have turned 25 pounds of fat into muscle when he took the peds.. he still had some in his system at the time of the fight.. how is that not battery if you know you taking enhancement drugs at the time we negotiated our second contract.. the peds was literally still working while they fighting.. how much weight you think he turned into muscle while they was fighting,.. you boys is wild.. Ryan could have been 165 or 170 when he took those peds.. literally turned all that fat into muscle… Them peds literally did what Ryan needed it to do. @Fannon. Haney stated a cause of action for battery. Haney alleged that the contact, or touching, was non consensual because Devin’s consent was limited “to a bout held fairly and under the rules and prohibitions …. .” Haney et. el., v Garcia, et. al., Dkt., 1-2024-cv-06845-FB-TAM , Doc no. 1, ¶¶ 50-51 (E.D. NY September 27, 2024) In other words, Haney didn’t consent to being hit by a fighter on PEDs, but rather a “clean” fighter. That passes muster under the applicable legal standard in NY law.
Your criticism of Haney assenting to a percentage of net profit in lieu of gross revenue is unfair. Very few fighters have the wherewithal to leverage a cut from gross revenue. And Haney is not one of them; he isn’t a draw, nor did he have skin in the game as an investor. Golden Boy, DAZN, would NOT have agreed to that.
His argument is that just cause not very many boxers have either committed an act that resulted in a lawsuit or that boxers just don’t have the money to put up a suit that Devin is in the wrong for suing…. So slavery only America hasn’t occurred in 400 years so does that mean if they start enslaving us we shouldn’t fight against it ? I mean under his logic it hasn’t happened for 400 years!
