I think Pops are getting to the point of being unsellable and I'm surprised you guys even made an offer on them. The problem is that too many people just bought them, left them in the box, and stored them hoping to resell for future profit. So now a good condition one isn't special and people who collected them know they're going to get washed on the investment so they want to get rid of them.
Then you have to consider how much space they're taking up along with the complete lack of demand. I don't think anybody ever really wanted them for any reason other than speculating that others would. There's no nostalgia to them because nobody played with them as a kid. It's just generic merch that got molded into whatever IP they got a license for.
They will never be unsellable there are pops still worth thousands and always will be
Agree 100%, and Funko Pops got a license for EVERYTHING so they cranked out and produced a pop for just about everything. There might be a handful of pops that have a high value, but most of them will never see a significant increase in value. The cherry on top, in my opinion, is that they are ugly. Aesthetically, I just think pops are boring and generic looking.
@@underwaterlevelz1947 The ones that have certified autographs will always command a high price.Same with the very rare vaulted ones.The everyday common bs is just that common but there are A LOT more then you think that are high value.
They did do this in 2023. Supposedly $35M of inventory thrown out.

I really appreciated how you guys talked about bootleg figures. My family came from Mexico, so we had little money for non-essentials when I was growing up. But when we would go to the San Fernando swap meet, that's where I would ask my grandparents to buy me figures. Lol Bootleg Power Rangers, Dragon Ball, wrestlers, Robocop, Godzilla, you name it. That's my earliest memory of having action figures. So, again, I really appreciate you guys giving bootlegs their flowers.

I find these videos really calming. It’s class to see toys, especially from my childhood and all the collections. I was a big G.I. Joe fan, I cried when I lost my Gung-Ho figure bringing him into the last day of school.
Gung-Ho is a hilarious name for a character 😂
In my school (I'm from Brazil), we were allowed to bring toys in the fridays. My parents didn't have much money, but they managed to buy me a Panthro. But we're allowed to play with the toys only in the break for lunch. Teacher saw me messing with the toy during the class, and took the Panthro from me! Long story short, someone stole my action figure from the teacher locker, and the figure was new, I had got it one week prior to that day. To this day, I feel robbed and dissapointed. Teacher or the school never gave anything back for loosing my action figure!
The downfall of Funko. I'd watch that documentary.

Like when I was little, I get up early every Saturday morning ready to see what nostalgia came into the store this week, and instead of a bowl of Frosted Flakes in front of me it’s now a cup of coffee. Love you guys and thank you for letting our inner kids shine!

I found this channel thanks to the algorithm and I get nostalgic watching what goes through their shop. I did have some old LJN D&D figures that they bought from me and was very happy dealing with them. I was offered more than my asking, which is always a nice surprise. I wouldn't hesitate to deal with these guys again. Keep up the great content.

Love this store! I've picked up several items over the last few months since discovering Toy Federation with my son and it's become a once a month visit for us. I still have one of those Sectaurs ko's on card that I bought at Odd Lots in the 90s. The card on mine calls the line Insect Man. Always loved it, wish I had bought them all.
Just look at comic shops that just sell funko pops, there not doing well, some in my area of virginia are not even taken them.
Im not surprised with funko, alot of people are getting out, the value is just not there. MAYBE THE 2011 TO 2013 that were very limited. But overall they became a fad. Unlike real toys that even after 30 to 40 collectors still want and enjoy, your store proves that.
Hopefully some day, I can swing through and buy some S##T!
My collection focus consist mainly of 1/6 scale figures and GIJoe Classified.
But I guarantee... That there's something in there that would cause me to empty my pockets!
I'm 49. And the 80s toys are great for bringing back the nostalgia. But I can't bring myself to start collecting vintage figures. Because they look so horrible, compared to what's available today.

Those mythic legion figures are so awesome but they're so expensive. I found myself buying a few of them and I'm like I could have made three or four car payments for what I paid for five or six figures jk. I want that headless horseman one so bad but $$$

Best piece was the Reversed bottom Joe we didn't really get to see the rest of the toys got to see bags of toys but not the toys themselves yes was a few but again other videos you did a way better job filming just my opinion and not trying to be negative.
First guy had stuff that was more rare too bad no accessories gi joe is less rare especially the new stuff and there is alot of it especially if you count the black major stuff

Sold my funkos to a guy who sells on what not. I had reservations after I sold em but I now realize I made the right move. Got out of funkos all together for good. But the strange thing is everytjme I'm out and see em in the store it's like I have a impulse to buy them. But I refrain. It was a good thing. They just over saturated themselves. Got greedy

The nacelle company remade Sectaurs! :) And they are doing biker mice from mars! PS the Figura Obscura Headless horseman has some of the best detail, check the horse and the WARE detail on straps/saddle fabrics parts.
Travis will buy that awesome Horseman, we all know it.

I know those 2 figures you showed with the gold chest armor, but didn't know what they were. They used those bodies on some Power Rangers bootlegs. That body with a rubber head mold of the 8" Bandai figures.
Also, thanks for the memory unlock on the Roboforce figures. I forgot about that toy line. I used that giant walking thing as an AT-AT for my SW figs.
