That 500 2 stroke is the ultimate race bike, I have the RS250 NX5 and that's an absolutely brilliant bike couldn't believe what the 500cc could do around the track
before MotoGP, it was called 500cc... the NSR500 v4 (w/Big Bang Engine!) broke the sport... Honda broke it again with the 5cyl 4 stroke (MotoGP) that won every race event.
I'm in love with the RC213V-S. Still my favorite bike ever. Well right next behind an actual Honda motogp bike that's on the grid. Yes I know Honda's not winning right. Still my favorite bike and Ducati a close second. It's always been that way and probably will remain so for ever. Honda #1, Ducati #2.
Love the vid! Massive fan of the NSR500V, used to daydream about Honda doing a street version back in the late 90's. Always felt the RC213V-S needed more sexy styling. Thinking MV F3, Ducati Panigale sort of looks!
I absolutely believe that, but damn if it isn't a lot of work to get into the world of two-strokes nowadays! Parts are tough, and it's crazy how much work I see Olly putting into tuning at every trackday/race we do together. I'm hoping Kramer makes a two-stroke out of the KTM 300 2-stroke dirtbike motor with the APEX chassis they just built for the 350cc 4-stroke motor, I'd be open to something like that to learn how to ride a two-smoker properly. But the 2-strokes I've been able to ride on the track have all been too small for me to comfortably shift enough to keep it in the powerband and I don't plan on jumping on a Suter MMX500 anytime soon!
true on the parts and maintenance at the track. I was always envious of the diesel riders just putting in gas and going instead of changing jets every 5 degrees and ripping of top ends constantly. Luckily I was messing with rs125 Honda’s and super easy to work on.
These bikes were/are just gorgeous. No wings or weirdo design ques simply for the sake of it. Stunning, pure motorcycles that didn't need any of that crap to look sensational. And so you know Abhi, Alex's surname is pronounced Griv-ee-yea😏
Thanks so much for these videos!! You can really tell your enthusiasm for these bikes. Ps... I met Abhi in Niagara Falls a few years back and he was one of my inspirations to pursue my dreams and pursue this wild hobby
Joey told me years ago he hated these bloody things. He was given a production RS500 twin back in the day. Horrible, wheelied in every gear, totally unstable at high speed and for road racing far to much power for so little weight. He rode it at Macau... Nightmare...
The NSR500V is my dream... 100kg,138-140hp....100 NM...(Repsol team spec over 150hp..) The ultimate race machine and the ultimate fun machine..🚀🚀🚀🤯😱💯
like the modenas kr3 500 v3 or aprilia rsw 500 v2
Look at the NR750 that is the Bike Claudio Castiglioni pretty much got a lot of his design ideas for the 916, 2 years later!
That NSR has kept me up for nights since you unboxed it! The RC213V-S WoW! Then tease us with the NR750 within 2 minutes!

Finally the RC213V-S my all time favorite bike 😍
I’m guessing there was a rubber pad that covered the welds and latch.?
I’m taking the 2 stroke hands down. Abhi you get fast on a 2 stroke then you’ll absolutely annihilate it on a 4 stroke
