Up until now, we’ve used reading workbooks and conversation books, but she finds it difficult and isn’t very engaged. So lately, we’ve gone all in on passively listening to videos and intensively listening to books. Since I have to teach her myself, I need to study first, as her mom. I have to know the content to guide her. That’s how I’ve discovered that there is a wealth of fun and useful English books out there. Thanks to my daughter, I’m reading English books on a daily basis and picking up tons of new expressions. I even started reading young adult chapter books because of her. Eventually, I’d like to move on to novels as well. Reading English books has become a part of my routine before I go to bed.
