The “don’t say gay” bill is a Florida state bill. It’s only a few pages long and mostly covers what teachers are not allowed to instruct children on when it comes to sexuality, transitioning, etc. The Clinton administration had a “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy for the military during his time in office.

Dear River, I spent the first 20 yrs of my life in America, but have since lived in London for a further 50. Recently I made the mistake of mentioning the widely observed problem that Biden is, to my sister. Not as a Trump supporter, as such, but just voiced an observation of Biden’s decrepitness. As a result, I became the target of her vitriol and was told in no uncertain terms that Biden is an honourable man. Accused of being ageist, I should not make any criticism of him.This was all accompanied with floods of tears!!! I really don’t know what has happened but the current politics, it seem to be dividing everyone, including once close families. What a world! God help us. Free speech is a concept of the past 🙏

I am a cancer survivor and I had surgery and endured chemotherapy and radiation therapy so I have been where the Princess of Wales finds herself currently; therefore, I totally understand how debilitating this disease can be, both mentally and physically. What I told my brother about my own fight with cancer is that I went into this battle a middle-aged woman and whether it was the actual disease or the hellish medications I was given, when the battle was over I was an old woman. Because of this I am more than willing to grant her some grace if her grammar or punctuation is less than stellar.

In positions of the highest authority cannot be automatically trusted by parents, and that parents need to be vigilant and very ready to act, despite the discomfort of breaking norms of manners in those social situations. It seems as though predators count on taking people by surprise and using our training in good manners as a way to make adults hesitant to act like mother bears would.

And the families of the 13 soldiers that were killed at the Airport and were repulsed by Biden's lack of sensitivity and his anger at having to be there for the deplaning of the bodies when he wanted to be gone because he need to rush home to his beach home! Iam an American. I am embarrassed by this government administration as of late. I hope that the Biden crime family gets what’s coming to them. Whoever is the next President of this country has a lot to fix and relationships to mend. Sadly we are not going to be the United States I was lucky to grow up in. It’s gone completely nuts!
I’m a Conservative and have a much loved friend who is a liberal Democrat, but we know what issues we stand on opposite sides of, and ‘Agree to Disagree’ and can have fun and many wonderful talks that don’t include those points. It seems such a shame that relationships get ruined, regardless of how long they’ve been rich and rewarding, hit the skids over disagreements. There’s something so ‘middle school’ that you have to be with people who look at everything the same way you do.
As for politics, it would seem a point on which reasonable people should agree that our Capitol is still under barbed wire yet our Southern Border is not. Washington DC has National Guard patrolling but the Southern Border does not. Something is terribly wrong with that picture.
