Great to have you guys back. Can’t believe it has been 2 months since your last long form video. Surf Camp sounds so fun. Surfing looks hard but you guys made it look so fun. This place has so much. Melissa would like the Yoga part. Seems like those guys are good teachers. This is hardcore with video analysis. What a great tour.

yeah, I mean, going around Sri Lanka and seeing and hearing it is so good for surfing, we didn't want to miss the chance and try it! 1 week camp was amazing! we'd do it again! and longer! We didn't know until we saw them! Just like there are fitness "boot" camps, yoga retreats... It was a great experience! You should totally try it! Surf or not, the whole experience makes it unforgettable!
I have a feeling I would be terrible at surfing, I'm not good at anything that involves balance 😅 the whole camp experience looks amazing! I love how thought out everything is so you can get the most from a week of learning
Like everything, it can be learn. There are lots of chances to practice and train (specially balance!). We aren't good either, but the surf guides are good and we can say we really improved in the few days there. Yes, the whole camp is amazing! 😍 We'd love to repeat the experience!
Lieles says he might not surf but if they have a strawberry cocktail, then he is in Seriously what a wonderful place. Me like the cabanas! wow, and the shower is freaking amazing!! Tsunami will get me for sure hahaha.
Waves look very mild, are there any spots with something a tiny bit more challenging? Is the surfing season in Sri Lanka all year round? Would be keen for something similar this summer.
Arugam Bay and the south coast (Mirissa, Weligama, Matara, and Hikkaduwa) have two distinct seasons - when one begins the other ends - A-Bay is shorter but more intense; south coast is for beginners and intermediates. I believe Bali is year around whereas SL is not - sort of.
So I actually went surfing to Arugam Bay in June. Right as the season shifted from West to East. There were some waves big enough to completely wipe everyone out, but mostly quite mild. Beaches were quite busy and crowded at times, have to get up very early to beat the crowds, overall happy with my first experience @@Gordi_B
Ive not been to Bali, from the videos its not as busy. But I think in A-bay the spots might be smaller and fewer? So even a smaller crowd would fill it up. Maybe a lack of communication from the participants in terms off, im taking this wave, now you go.@@Gordi_B

The best is that you can do at your own pace. Feel like surfing twice a day, go! Feel like taking a day off and sip cocktails by the pool? Fine!

There are other areas like Arugam Bay, Weligama. Not sure about the waves or seasons. Surfing apart, Sri Lanka is amazing 😍
