I purchased a 2023 KTM 790 duke earlier this year and man, do I wish i waited for the 990! I absolutely love their new headlight design! The 790 is a lot of bike for a brand new rider with its low end torque so maybe its a good thing that I didn't get a liter bike. The biggest downside with any KTM bikes is the "HIDDEN FEES" for features that are ALREADY built into the bike that you have to pay to "unlock". Tech package $$$, heated grips/seat $$$, cruise control $$$, etc. I guess that's what you get when you opt-in for a European-brand bike.
OC: OC for life. Gotta say 1390 Super Duke first ride is my favourite. I've swung a leg over every Duke but the Super Duke. Everytime I ask my dealer for a test ride I get this shit look like I gotta leave half it's cost upfront and maybe a kidney as collateral, as like I'm gonna do stupid shit on said test ride. Fact is I would do said stupid 💩 but they can at least give me the benefit of the doubt. 😂😂😂
MT09 is nice, I like a more tucked riding position though, which the Street Triple and Z900 offer. I was gonna buy either the MT09 or Street Triple until I found a used low mileage 1 owner ‘22 Z900 this spring 2 towns over and was able to pay cash. Glad I did, I much prefer the ergo’s over the MT09’s, and having run with my buddies XSR900, the Z900 has a little bit more power pretty much everywhere, especially top end. The XSR is more flickable feeling, the Z900 feels more stable. Didn’t need all the electronics like the 6 axis IMU, only really want ABS and TC for rain. Plus the ‘20+ Z900’s have compression/rebound adjustable suspension…

Wait for the 2025. They'll release a R model with the brembos. They do it everytime. Bike is manufactured in China now at the KTM/CFmoto factory. The quality isn't there anymore, pre 2021. The controls are weak and fragile. Other then that it's a awesome bike. If you buy one make sure to inspect it thoroughly. KTM ships them in shitty wood frame crates wraped in cardboard. Buddy, never rely on any youtuber for their opinion any any product, particularly motorcycles and firearms. Their opinions are just far too subjective and they never, THEY NEVER have set a standard for what they are comparing to.
I compare them sometimes but it's hard to compare bikes when you aren't riding them one after another. For small teams like mine it is VERY difficult to source a full set of bikes for comparison videos. OEM companies don't treat us like they do the big magazine companies unfortunately. Maybe one day and when that day comes I'll bring you guys amazing comparisons!
Thanks for your response, my friend! I mean not a big comparison, just a few words. For example, you recently rode the Yamaha MT-09 2024. You could just say how it brakes and how it feels overall compared to the KTM Duke 990. In short, you know what I mean😉.

@@Daniel-dj7fh 600s don't make 200hp!
@@Daniel-dj7fh 600s make around 120-130hp. Similar max hp to the Duke 990. The Duke has way more torque across the low to mid range. I just didn't understand where you came up with the 80hp more comment. Not hating. I just think your figures are off.
@@amococ2487 120+80=200, and what's recommended when someone says a 600 is not enough, that's right a 1000cc bike. Which fun fact has 200hp.
But what I was trying to say is that if this, which I agree is probably stupid fast as it is already. Why anyone would need the 1390 duke as an example, or a 1000cc sport or naked bike. That was the actual message.
the 765 rs is quicker in 40-80. dang. all this talk of torque here and its slower to 80?
😂no way man✊🔥
@@helgejohan3604 well his videos show so. the 40-80 measurements he does of both the bikes in the videos
Def not a wet weight of 395. That's dry
The front end looks like its already been dropped
Mt-09 for the win. Way more bang for the buck without having to pay for software upgrades
For the love of God, do not buy this bike until KTM stops making their camshafts out of cheese. I can only assume this will suffer the same fate as the 790 and 890 engines.
I’ll stick with my 890R. Better looking, better suspension, complete brake system (top shelf Brembos from the bars to calipers)
Head assembly getting uglier every year
The front looks....ugly 😂
Chase, come on, buddy! You've ridden so many bikes and never compared them with each other. No offense, dude, but your motorcycle reviews look like commercials. Let's finish it. Your followers would love to hear your opinion on different motorcycles in a comparative way 😊.
Glad I got a triumph over Ktm ..
@@obeii1805 You would also be glad if you chose Ktm 😉.
Every video gets more boring. Do all settings. Try different modes. Turn off/on helpers. Like cmon.
It’s just a video about a overweight man on a duke
That’s one of the ugliest headlights I have ever seen
Video content is good but a little long....sorry
