Perfect practice/studio amp. Also, it’s great for live Americana duo or even quiet trio bands. Obviously not enough to cut through a rock band.
However, it’s a pretty loud 5 watts.
It Sounds to die for
What just happened, Mark left Tone King Amps, I received an official email tonight about that.
Where is Mark?
Mark Barthel doesn't own Tone King anymore! He'll build amps under the name "Barthel amps" (don't know the exact name). I think this whole Premier builders guild thing didn't work well for the builders, but I'm not sure with it. It seems like a big fish eating small fish thing.
Maybe the story behind is way less dramatic than what I read in a forum, then somebody please correct me.
Bartel
Lee's voice is getting raspy :P
I thought it was the signature amp of Mr. I-Play-Like-Shit-But-Have-Tons-Of-Expensive-Gear
Mandarin He's my cousin, my real name is actually Mr. I-Play-Like-Shit-And-Have-No-Money
Craig Janes and no kidney
MarkKiddGuitar
No, he's refering to a certain youtuber.
@TheEchelon who???
How does the Gremlin compare to the Laney Lionheart?
LT-5-112 is the worst. But I kinda surprised how good LT-20-410 is, even for home use.
Horrible sound capture. The amp is amazing. Watch Peach Guitars demo. This one sucks.
This demo did suck. Peach Guitars and Johann Segeborn demos.
So it's like their version of the champ?
10" speaker with a super nice Attenualtor.. more so power scaling. You have two inputs one lower gain for 60's blackface and the lead inpui is more like a Fender 12. More alert and pushed. great amps.
Are all those brands owned by some overlord? Is that what I am hearing?
That would explain why they are all in the same "booth".
someone buy me a David Ellefson signature bass
I really like Tone King amps but i didn't think that one sounded good
They're recording during a loud trade show.

Didn’t need that amp.....the basic falcon does that and more....Mark selling the line...not good.
The Gremlin head just came out I'm planning on a FG as well as the head which ships w 5881 like the FG
First
Played one with a LP recently and sounded great. This amp, like all amps, sounds crap with a Strat.
Sounds like an amp nobody needs
Honestly, at this point. There are plenty of amps that have multiple channels on them for cheaper.
@@s1iznc1d34 Yeah I just picked up the head instead of combo They run 5881 tube now like the Falcon Grande
@@paulcowart3174 Hi Paul, I have just bought a Gremlin Head, and although I absolutely love the Lead channel, I am very disappointed with the volume level available thru the Rhythm channel. The volume knob needs to be turned up to around 6-7 to get a reasonable sound level, and because it is then at breakup point, I am not hearing the Fender Blackface cleans that it is supposed to provide.
I have seen various You Tube Clips that show the Rhythm channel set at 3-4, and it sounds great with nice sparkle and dynamics.
Have you found the same problem with your Gremlin?
I am running the Head thru a 2x12 Dovetailed Pine Cab with Warehouse Green Berets wired to 8 Ohms. I have not at this stage been able to try the head thru either the Tone King 1x12 Cab, or any other brand of 1x12 Cab. I would expect that a 2x12 would sound better and louder than a 1x12 anyway, because Tone King states that the Head sounds Huge with a 4x12 Cab.
Any feedback would be much appreciated, as I live a long way from any Amp Techs, and I would assume that because the Lead Channel is plenty loud enough, then it would be unlikely to be a Tube problem?. .
yeah im sick of this crap too.......$2000.00 for an amp that sounds like a old kay or harmony tube amp.
sounds like crap !
