Great video. I too found Ron Paulk's videos and took his ideas and made them work for my needs. He has some awesome ideas! I also must drive differently than Ron or our roads are rougher, I had to put latches in to stop my drawers from sliding open. Great idea for the dust collector to fit in. A well organized trailer makes working a pleasure!
Very nice. People who comment about festool are just jealous. As we all know trailers, trucks, and workshops are always "work in progress" I might use my portable vacuum as the dust extraction I wish you the best of luck and keep us up to date. Thank you
People jealous of Festool either don't own a Festool and haven't yet discovered how amazing their design/functionality are or they don't need to have that special tool that does something in a way that other tools don't. They are worth every penny they charge (usually!). I purchase Festool when I need something that only they offer but I can't see paying for a Festool drill etc.
We just got a rental and I help take care of my father's retail stores for lease. I swear some days you spend more time packing the supplies and tools than you do working at the apartment. Right now I have a minivan and small old enclosed. Just got a 6x10 but haven't built inside or done any setup. I need a system. The hours wasted are eating into my time. I spent 30 years perfecting home workshops. Built 6 or 7. Now that I need to be mobile it's like starting all over.
Amazing set up, I just got rid of my Nissan Frontier because it road like crap. Loaded or unloaded with tools. Now I have a full size Dodge Ram. . rides like a Caddilac. I will consider a trailer. I do rentals and remodel. And always struggle with how to carry and orgsnuze tools.. My hat off to u well done!!
Seriously Great build. Totally inspired , Every “well used” tool in my garage UA-cam channel Is moving to a 6x12 , then I’m converting a ram promaster for living.
That double male is super dangerous. Now you have live metal ends if you accidentally touch or someone unplugs trailer and that falls into a puddle etc.. You should have just got a 20 amp shore power male inlet and use a regular extension cord.

The one downside to having everything in the trailer is that everythings in the trailer lol so it has to follow you around even on a small job.
So true. A blessing and a curse. If you have to make a run to lowes...it's a dilemma. Spend the time to unhook and secure the trailer or drag it with you.
I guess it depends on what you need to pick up at Lowes or Home depot. I figure if it is something small maybe a little electric scooter in the trailer would solve that problem. If it is anything larger either move on to another project and pick up your supplies later for the next day or early on the next day.
yeah, that Shoreline with the double male end is a huge huge OSHA fine not only for you but every other company that allows their people on the site that you're trailers at and the general contractor

Are the upper cabinets just screwed through the backs to hold them in place? If so how thick is the plywood on the walls and the backs of the cabinets? Nice video. Thanks
Did you use self tapping screws, or just standard wood screw? I know the studs in my trailer are just a thin gauge metal Z. Not sure if they would support a cabinet loaded with tools bouncing down the road? Maybe stronger than I think though?
I would use self tapping screws. I would pre-drill through the would cabinet with a drill bit. Then use the self tapping screw. My trailer wall has studs that were like 1" square tubing.
what about the child who walks past and trips over your cable leaving 2 live prongs flapping about in the wind.. surly an RV hookup socket or something would serve better for getting power into it??
It does not matter how much you "pay attention", murphy's law is always in effect. This is very dangerous. I wouldn't be commenting about this if it wasn't that big of a deal. Find a male receptacle to put on your trailer and get rid of that adaptor you made. It might be convenient and it might work, but that does not mean it should be done. Learn some basic electrical safety before putting your life and others at risk.
Look guys...did you watch the video? This is a secondary means of electrifying the trailer. Geeze. I work on large commercial airconditioners the are live and running. You know, it's part of the job. Give it a rest.

It's obviously more than that. Why don't you type his name into the search bar and see for yourself. The drawers are his design and are rather unique in how they slide in and stay put. Also, the cubbys with movable walls and, in general, a bunch of ideas on how it all comes together so there is a space for everything and it is very organized. Yes, you could just design your own space but you have a guy who has spent 30 years refining his space over and over so you benefit from so many little improvements that you might no think of yourself on your first build out or two.
Everyone making a big deal about that male to male connection obviously doesn’t own rentals. OSHA doesn’t show up to a resident's home or rental to make sure everything they’re working with kosher, that’s absurd. This man owns multi rentals and needs a trailer to work on them. You can tell he’s proud of it and has every right to be; he did an amazing job. Don’t knock someone down behind a keyboard or get dramatic talking about OSHA driving through residential neighborhoods handing out fines to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that doesn’t have their hard hat on when they’re hanging Christmas lights. Is it a little dangerous, yeah. But it’s not your workplace, so who cares?
If a contractor pulled up to my house and pulled out a cord (male to male) I would send him packing. That type of carelessness is nothing I want around my house.

That is actually a furnace blower that I installed in a wood box. Basically just a fan.

A trip to the truck scales can easily figure out if weight is too high or too forward on the tongue.

I think you are talking about the paulk workbench "legs" or supports. They are folded up and strapped to the wall.
