    The following is a collage of photos and video clips recorded over the past year showing the process of making Oneness Rods. Oneness Rods are one-piece 6 foot full length bamboo fly rods. Typically for 3-5 weight fly lines and have a dry fly taper. They’re ideal for fishing small streams and tributaries for wild native trout. The name Oneness Rods reflects the feeling when fishing a bamboo fly rod. A feeling of wholeness - of being at one with Nature.

    I have a old bamboo rod it's Japanese made with 3 tips.but the weird part is you can remove the reel holder and turn it around and use a bate reel to do you no anything about these rods I can't find any info on them any help would be great bob from canada

    • @cptrunko5381
      @cptrunko5381  Рік тому

      That's a first for me Bob. If you had the ability to flip it around 180deg it would go from a down-locking to an up-locking reel seat. Should be able to accept either fly or spinning, or bait reel, but the guides may be a bit restricting. You've got me curious. Thanks for the education! Chris

I will list another Oneness Rod likely on Tuesday. Do you have a preference of line weight and action fly rod, and do you require the aluminum tube? Thanks you for inquiry, Chris

      Hey thanks Nickolas! Currently have them listed on OnenessRods.com at 580, and will be posting what I have made this season on eBay. I am quite pleased with the taper I've developed over the past year, and can say with high confidence that it is without doubt the sweetest action fly rod you'll ever cast! I've made a full range of 3wt and 5wt of that same taper, and only change the Straight Line Core Taper to experience the range from 100% Fast through Slow-to-Moderate every .003". So there will be a broad range of very Sweet taper Oneness Rods available soon. Thanks again for your interest Nickolas! Enjoy, Chris

    Hi Chris, I'm luigi and I'm writing to you from Italy. I saw your bamboo rod building video and I wanted to ask you how did you put together the silica gel tube? thank you

    • @cptrunko5381
      @cptrunko5381  2 роки тому

      Hello Luigi, Simply a PVC tube capped at one end, and use a Test Plug (the red plug shown in video) to seal the tube. The Silica Gel pellets I put in a metal mesh tea ball, so it is at the bottom of PVC tube before I slide the bamboo bundles into the tube. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching my video Luigi. Enjoy!
