I think I understand the reason for this channel.
"You're watching Sleepcore, media for insomniacs." This isn't to make you sleep; it's to give you something to watch while you can't sleep. 😉
9:02 I love how he hits himself in the mouth with the microscope! No retakes here. And at 10:49 - is he really giving us the finger?
It’s from the series “Tales of Tomorrow” which was performed/recorded live. There’s a famous episode where Lon Chaney Jr. thought he was rehearsing and yelled “chair, chair” instead of performing the actions while on air.
BAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH Hilarious
@@HyperionHQ Probably the best acting he ever did.
@@HyperionHQ It almost ended his career: ua-cam.com/video/WSdcLvJ3u_E/v-deo.html
The finger certainly looks intentional
This is really wonderful material and nicely and eclectically put together.
Many thanks
Watching Sleepcore on a 1975 Zenith Chromacolor II is something else
I really enjoy watching actors playing people seemingly filled with actual hope and enthusiasm for the future. Nostalgia right there.
Makes me nostalgic for a time before I was even born, just barely though. As always...superb. Much thanks
Happy to see another one. :)
Thanks for doing what you, picsandportraits!
There are still a few hotels and restaurants that have that external spacey- Jetson look when you drive by or stop.
All these make me wish I lived in the 50s lol
you had me at "hypnagogia"
This has got to be one of the greatest sleepcores! ❤
Some Disney animation. Henry Fords first cars ran on hemp oil
Sleepcore., Andrei Tarkovsky, Jim Jarmusch, and David Lynch. We live like royalty in these times, to be awash in such brilliant, rich media. God bless my fellow night-trippers, and God bless Picsandportraits. Cheers, all. 😎❤
I have been finding that these are really good to start my day with as well
The Real Mad Men behind these advertising campaigns... Love it! ❤
I really enjoy this channel. As a history buff and a Sociologist I really enjoy this material.
Getting ready for my favourite showw
Red dust, red cosmetics, red Soviet psychedelic animation, red planet. 😉
One of the best yet. Bravo my man so awesome
Cheesey stuff for nightmares. I love it xxx.
The space-walk sequence was beautiful.
Thanks, I love this stuff!
Ooooohh, the glamour of the Ford Falcon! snicker
I gotta tell you, you did my insomnia no favours at all by entwining me in a "Tale(s) of Tomorrow" - suspense drama, and then going and leaving me hanging! It might've been a hokey old yarn but you got me on the hook and then left me not knowing - Do they get back to Earth? Do they beat the dust? Can they settle their differences? Etc, etc. Only thing worse than the type who casually drops spoilers, is their opposite.
Have *you* (uploaders) torn the last chapter out of many Agatha Christie's lately?!
Relax, I'm not actually being 'super - serious'... But I _was_ serious enough to seek out the relevant "Tales of Tomorrow" on UA-cam - fortunately it's there, at least at the time of writing. I'm not going to make a link: these can be problematic in the context of UA-cam comments, and I would probably l8alls it up, anyway - but one has only to look for "Tales of Tomorrow" and "Red Dust". Other episodes also appear to be available.
00:20 I was born in 1952, and yes, America was like that.
8:48 lol, he straight up gave that dude the bird!
21:21 - Dr. Caligari & Cesare posted up in the background like 😑 🤣
Yep. That's how I remember 1960 being.
Nanites, nano-scale machines normally called "grey goo".😄
How can I sleep with all that red dust!?
This is one cool channel⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🤗
Jeez, Charlie doesn't have the chops for space travel.
That Walt Disney fella really had his finger on America's pulse, I'll give him that. His aesthetic is every where through this.
Any idea about the image of house on the thumbnail?
This is the best
Very Bioshock vibe
Guy in ‘Red Dust’: “We all know that death is the price of knowledge!”
Me: damn, that pretty deep , straight biblical even!
Beatles from Yellow Submarine at 21:30 😀
They don’t even make interesting car commercials anymore. Compare the Ford commercial at the beginning to one of the current commercials on cars, except the one with the robot dog, it’s cool.
“Forget about this alien dust, we should a brought a pretty lady.” Jesus.
"... a pretty maid" to be exact 😀
What a wonderful video! I was so intrigued by the thumbnail too, it's what made me click on the video, do you have the source to the image on the thumbnail?
Not sure why I can’t post the link here but it is the Tumblr link in the description!
👍👏👏
Picsnportraits is the best!✌️❤️
Dust dust dust
dust dust dust dust
Dustity dust dust ……dust
30mg falcon
Did they make it back to Earth?
14:42 can anyone say....ghosts of mars😂😂😂
😍😍😍
8:50 lol.
