TOURNAMENT (COMPOUND) 2023 organised by sikkim archery association .
Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang was the chief guest for today together with Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Kunga Nima Lepcha ,RDD Minister Sonam lama , Forest department minister Karma loday Bhutia and Power Department minister M.N Sherpa were also present.
Archery is a sport which is very popular amongst the Sikkimese. It is a traditional sport practiced here since time immemorial.People would get together to enjoy this enchanting sport. Over the years this sport had lost its charm but today it has been revived. They try their best to hit the targets and the one who hits more targets scores more points. Traditionally the participant of the sport used to wear traditional dress while playing the sport.
