I liked meinl the most, crisp and bright sound. love it.
@THEPANTSWEREDEAD and that is exactly what you should look for in a cymbal, the sound YOU like, not the sound somebody else tells you is good, congrats
Im getting a drum set soon and wanted to hear the meinl before i get it and it sounds great ^^ love the bell
Azonban nekem sárgaréz-tányéroknál még mindíg a 302es a best!! :D
I ordered a mienl 20" hcs ride. I think in this, mienl and zildjian were my favorites.
As you can see in my movie i use them for studiop and live gigs and they hold their own.....I like them very much.....
i luv all ur vids ^^ so epic
and also...
the title says zildjian zbt, should be zildjian planet z
@javierlocutor I agree with the first part of your post, till "and so on" and i never disagreed with that.
The answer to your question is easy: learn to drum.
I have tried all this series of beginner cymbals (i mean the ones on the video) and all of them (and just about any brand cymbal, cheap or expensive) can last for a good time if you play them correct, the only cymbals i have managed to break just by playing them for a year or so, were some no-brand $49 cymbals, now that is another matter
believe it or not i still have an HCS ride while AAX and Meinl classics dominate my kit....i like the sound and haven't found a reason to upgrade.
They all sounds good, but the Paiste sounds much different compared to the others. Its lower pitch stands out and sounds better in this demo.
Paiste is good as crash :)
I love Meinl
@Dobosudvar size of the meinl?
@javierlocutor well said.
Sabian rides are the best especially the HHX
planet z im geetting one now
They all sound different but i prefer the Sabian cymbals over all other brands
@OZPerpetue As you can see on the comments, there are people choosing Sabian, others choose Paiste, others choose Zildjian and some others prefer Meinl as well, what may be an awful sound for some might be the perfect sound for others and viceversa, some people love bright and pinggy rides while other rather dry ones with no overtones, some drummers ask for quick decay crashes and others enjoy long sustain on theirs... and so on,...BUT, what will you do with a cymbal that breaks easily?
I play Solar 20 ride. Not so bad, but it has no bell at all. Also not very loud. But still, ride sounds much better than shitty Solar hi-hat ;)
I would choose hese 4 cymbals in this order:
Paiste
Meinl
Zildjian
Sabian.
zildjian sounds the cleanest to me
@glitchhacker101 To each his own.
Paiste, Zildjian, Sabian, Meinl. But that's my opinion
Meinl alllllllllllllll the way
The Planet Z is the best sounding to me; should've included PST 3.
Meinl or Zildjian.
enjoi4486 I had it too, I got it in a set. The hats and ride were usable enough, but I just could not enjoy the sound of the crash whatsoever!
I ended up cutting it up to make a brass sculpture, of sorts.
I have the Sabian one. I hate it. Gonna buy some mid-level Meinl ASAP.
@CymbalCat u mad brah?
There is no winner ride or best of the bulk, they all sound fairly decent and every drummer will decide which one fit best for the sound they are looking for, some like them dark and dry and some like them as bright and high pitched as they can find, is a matter of tastes and styles. Cymbals should not be considered as good or bad for their sound but for the durability they offer, the lifetime they have before breaking.
paiste 101 sounded like balls
Meinl cool
Zildjian
Meinl
Sabian
Paiste
@javierlocutor I think you are discussing with somebody else, I don't get why you say me that, I personally use some ozimar (a turkish underground brand) and an UFIP on my drumset, so I completely know that the big 4 are not the only ones, nor the best IMO, for example I would take a Bosphorus any day over a Zildjian K.
Whatever, I don't understand why you responded my with that, I never said a thing about cheap cymbals being bad, damn, we were talking about durability!
@OZPerpetue I have tried many cymbals too, of so many brands and series, known and unknown (Solar, B8, Headliner, Camber 4000, Camber 8000, Dixie, some others) , I have even played with those shitty tin can cymbals that come with low budget drums and be it whatever it is, all of them have decently fulfilled their purpose, even if they are not Paiste 2002 or Zildjian A Custom... anyways, as I said before, its a matter of tastes and freedom of choice, we all like different sounds, even cheap ones
I like planet Z
Paiste 101 makes a good deep crash.
Meinl
meinl
Solar
Sabian Solar HUSHAS RAD. Paiste 101 HUSHAS RAD.
Zildjian PLANT Z HUSHAS RAD.
Meinl HCS HUSHAS RAD.
I was like "bro, you having hard time saying Medium nor MIDYUM?"
Para mi gusto, Meinl gana
Me gusta mas el paiste, y a mi parecer el planet es el peor, pero es cosa de gustos
im a sabian guy, but the zildjian sounded the best outta all of them, but none wer that great lol theyre entry level..and yeah the HCSs are awful i have them the crash is so bad its like hitting a garbage can lid
@javierlocutor "Cymbals should not be considered as good or bad for their sound"?????? WTF? Cymbals are COMPLETELY about their sound, they are music instruments, not machines to be judged by durability.
Durability comes AFTER sound, there you can judge it, but not over it.
sabian or zildjian
the paiste, the planet z bell isn't well defined
Sabian
Meinl
Zildjian
Paiste
Definitely Zildjian and Meinl are better
Zildjian
sabian
paiste
meinl
all terrible though
planet z is the best of these cheap ones.
ughh, sabian solar sucks, i had the crash and it had like no sound
totally not agree,
Sabian
Paiste
Meinl
Zildjian the bell bow and edge of the Zildjians sucks really BAD!
Zildjian sucked here. I think it went Meinl, Paiste, Sabian, Zildjian. But that's just me.
Planet Z are the worst cymbals I've ever played in my life... THEY SUCK!!!
I like planet Z
meinl
meinl
I love your video comparison! Youre the only person that i know that knew people were going to need this when choosing what to buy. Great job!
