Sandi Patty ~ The Star-Spangled Banner

The Sandi Patty and Friends tour made its way to Anderson, IN one more time. It was a WONDERFUL evening! The concert was supposed to be in August, but Larnelle Harris had a death in his family so they rescheduled it on September 11. There was a very touching 9/11 tribute and then Sandi Patty sang our National Anthem. Beautiful... Enjoy!

Beautiful Voice - No doubt about it. When singing The Star Spangled Banner, let us stick to the words of Francis Scott Key.

Phil - First Sandi did not change the words that Key wrote as the 1st verse. I guest that you do not like the idea that they normally only perform 1 out of the 4 verses that Key wrote. Also what about the verse added in 1824 or the one added by Oliver Wendell Holmes at the beginning of the Civil War.
As one who served for 23 years in the US Navy, I feel deeply that Sandi's rendition is one of the best. An the new verse is great!
