2023 I still pass by and listen to my dad's best vibe which I also came to love beyond. Dear dad your legacy still lives on am still enjoying our song. We used to listen to it from iganga to mbale in Eastern Uganda! that's how long and sweet the vibe was, is and forever will be
How can I get enough of this?I can't.These guys were blazing, and I understand why musicians don't get sick so often or get old fast The guys are happy, they enjoy.👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Sincerely, The guys really mastered this area, no body comes closer to the Congolese when it comes to music. They way they shout shows how they were enjoying their beets!! Kudos!!
This Congolese music is both nauseating and invigorating creating some excitement and a release of Adrenalin in both the singer and listener, no wonder these musicians seem to appear to be ageless, great Soukous!
Soooooo sad that i wouldn't spend this festivities with my Dad who passed on earlier this year......but he really loved this song......i will carry on his legacy by playing the song in his absence next to his RESTING PLACE
Nostalgic feeling. Great music of Africa. I love Africa music so much. Greetings from the Volta Region of the Republic of Ghana. I am still enjoying this music so much in the year 2022.

My first soukous record once I decided to move to Kinshasa for a couple of years and decided that I'd benefit from knowing the music. I've gone far beyond just this record, but still love it greatly. Hard to find much info about Pompon Kuleta--he's not well known in the Congo it seems. Anyone have some basic bio info about him? My Kenyan friends do know of him.
@@MusicShaddyRaddy As I noted, he was my intro to this wonderful world of music. Seven years later, the moment I hear him cry "SOUKOUS!" my heart soars. Thank you for the update on him.

I used to grade Diblo Dibala as the best soukous guitarist, but I have come to realize, that it's Dally kimoko!!
Diblo still remains the best though kimoko is not to be underrated
Never diblo dibala leads with guitar 🎸 his king
Kimoko is the best guitarist all over the world
Personally I think Nene Tchakou is very underrated. That guy for me is number 1. Rip!

In this group there was guitarist Caen Mandoka and Awilo Longomba as young musicians before they joined other groups in the late 90s.
I just found out this music I listened to in the early 90s at my early teens. It still sounds best.

Pompon Kuleta was a vocalist for Tabu Ley's band in the 80's. He sadly passed away in the mid 1990s.
@@MusicShaddyRaddy As I noted, he was my intro to this wonderful world of music. Seven years later, the moment I hear him cry "SOUKOUS!" my heart soars. Thank you for the update on him.
Also in this medley were Nene Chakou, Shamba Kahamba, on bass guitar, Pompon Kuleta on vocals
From my knowledge, Tchakou mainly played rhythm. Huit Kilos and Diblo mostly played lead.
There are some where Chakou was on solo
