Not sure Strong Men create Good Times. Usually it's people on the Spectrum create good times, at least they disrupt the Old Times. Besides, there can be different cycles of Strong vs Weak Males/Females going on all over the planet, in different phases, interacting. It could be that the dynamic moves around various cities, esp places where we see a lot of innovation versus places where we see less.

SHIBBITY BEBOP i agree 100% and this is why humans are so ignorant and incapable of critical thinking, because they go to "experts" to tell them that their senses are wrong. This guy for instance, preach how dangerous sex is because of AIDS and other diseases, but if you'll do your own research, you will discover the truth about AIDS. I just recently finished reading a book called "The Beggar" by Soul LaVee and this book was a real eye opener and is highly recommended. In this book there was something that stuck with me where the beggar tells Sam how this so called experts are part of the reason we doubt ourselves. He said, experts like doctors and teachers are simply CONVEYORS of information. They are told how it is, and convey it to the ones that trust them blindly. After living on this planet long enough, i can tell you with much conviction, that most of the things they tell us and teach us, is wrong, and if they charge an arm and a leg to convey wrong information, then all the merrier.

“Well that depends on what you mean by favorite. And it also depends on what you mean by sexual. This is a very difficult question. One must acknowledge the underlying verisimilitude that is irrevocably nested within a multi-layered metaphysical substrate that people fundamentally conflate with their ideological presuppositions with no uncertain irregularity, and not dissimilar to Jung's extrapolation of the archetypal and axiomatic juxtaposition of Raskolnikov's Neo-Marxist existential nihilism...”

I don’t understand how we got to a place where its considered the norm to sleep around and you get made fun of if you choose not to engage in the same practices. How does it help your future in any way to have slept with half of your college? It really isn’t difficult to understand. Humans are a complex set of emotions, we need meaningful connections and support from men and women to thrive. Thats how we were designed. If we minimize and trivialize our true essence, we suffer as individuals and as a society. Common sense has gone down the toilet 🤦🏻‍♀️

A T look at the media my friend. The influence out there plays a large role. Brain dead shows that focuses on gossip, sex and other morally-wrong traits (ie. kardashians focusing on looks and selfish desires that is deceptively viewed as the norm). Young girls have no real goals other than to look pretty and live a privileged life like those people. There’s also rappers becoming mainstream with derogatory lyrics about women, coupled with an overly-encouragement of the use of drugs (which then becomes the norm). There are no rational, spiritual and intellectual role models that are as easily accessible as these brain dead morons that plague the spotlight.
This is just one of the many factors. There are more variables to it than these media people.

What's worse now is even parents encourage their teenagers to have sex because "they are going to do it anyways" so they educate them on being safe and to get them on birth control instead of telling them to abstain. Most girls start sleeping around at the age of 14 and no one thinks that's wrong anymore. As long as they are "safe" they say, and "you do you girl", "enjoy sex, your body count doesn't define you", "sleep around however you like as long as you are not hurting anyone". One night stands, friends with benefits, and even having an open relationship is something that is being pushed and normalized. What an immoral generation we live in 🤦🏽‍♀️

All because two stupid kids thought it was the thing to do because mommy and daddy got married relatively young. This is the discredit the boomers have done to younger generations because they came from a time when it was economically sound and sustainable to marry at a younger age and have bigger families so they held those old fashioned ideals while remaining ignorant of the economic and yes cultural changes that X, Y and Z have undergone. I almost want to slap those people who argue "It's the thing to do." as if just doing it because people do it is the most valid reason to make a lifelong vow of commitment to someone else. Unless it’s about the people that don’t want to bother being in a long term relationship at all, the ones that care about a potential partner’s sexual history should not be shunned for that. It's very easy to do. I started a couple of years ago and chose my partners for it carefully, not just random people from a club or something, not that I go to those anyway.
You can easily find people who are looking for NSA who are just normal people. I don't want a relationship but neither do I want to live 5+ years of my life celibate. For what? I don't plan on marrying and I don't want children so there's no reason to sit around waiting for the 'one true love', which I don't believe in anyway.
It's not a trophy and I don't go around telling people either as I'm very private.

    • @AllsortPassport
      @AllsortPassport 4 роки тому +7

@Anna Garcia the end result of what you suggest leaves me hooking up with someone, so really it's not that different from what I already do, only, the way I do it I don't have to go through the whole effort of getting into a relationship (which I don't want). Also, not to be rude but that doesn't make sense to say if you break up with someone, if you're in a healthy relationship you can still have sex?
It's a much quicker and easier option to just arrange hook ups than it is to go searching for a relationship, to then break up with them to continue hooking up with them.

I don't remember the last time I felt this normal. I hadn't wanted to do it because I think messing with hormones should be avoided, but it seems to seriously help me function, so I'm glad I have it.
Also people blame a woman's behavior on PMS all the time 🤣 I do think the pill should be talked more about, but women talk about it a lot with other women at least. I'm gobsmacked by how much history has been rewritten these days. His analysis of Victorian sexual repression, while not fun, is practical and understandable. Speak to a kid today and you're likely to hear it was because men were oppressing women. Same with slavery. Yes, it was bad. And it has always existed and it has always been bad. This wider context is simply not taught to the kids anymore. Nor that the British were the first people ever to outlaw. Strange times we live in. The material decadence has rubbed out all but the politicised history the ideologues today crave.

    • @joshuarichardson6529
      @joshuarichardson6529 6 років тому +46

Actually the Victorian era's views on sexuality were largely shaped by queen Victoria herself. She was the only legitimate heir to the throne, though her father had produced several illegitimate children. She was further put off fornication by her mother sleeping with a steward while running the country in her stead until she came of age. However, she was not against sex entirely, as she and her husband had 12 kids together (that hurts just thinking about it). The people of the Victorian era followed her lead, and denigrated sexuality entirely, or at least outside of marriage. Though adultery was hardly unknown in the Victorian era, just looked down upon.
However, the earlier Regency period, which had some of the same problems with sex the Victorian era had (STDs and unwanted pregnancy), was well known for people engaging in fornication and adultery, and behind the scenes several other sex acts generally ill-regarded by the church and growing middle class. Making sure farms were staffed by laborers was generally held as more important than how those children were produced. Likewise, Kings were generally obsessed with producing a male heir, (Henry the 8th being a notorious example) and were known to sleep around, leading to Victoria taking the throne and the sudden change during her rule.

Supermandan, I agree. We've all been raised with the line about how Victorian repression was strictly the result of a chauvinistic, religious, patriarchal society. While there's truth to the chauvinistic, religious and patriarchal aspects of Victorian society, the practical reasons Jordan mentioned get conveniently left out. As with so much of history, we only get half the story, until we start digging for ourselves and find someone like Peterson who's willing to give us the other half.

Sam: "No, the other kids make fun of you. It's bad to be a virgin."

I like to say that justification is the key to cruelty. People usually enjoy being bullies and fail to realize that that's what they are. Very frequently, they rationalize their behavior by blaming the victim and saying that they deserve it. Bullies seem to think of themselves as righteous judicators putting inferior people in their proper place. Furthermore, I've noticed that most people will join in on something evil being done rather than trying to stop it. Certainly explains why slavery has been so popular throughout human history.
It's a grim thing to realize, especially when you come to terms with the fact that you're perfectly capable of and probably have done the exact same thing yourself. But at least this human nature can be suppressed and defeated, so despair is not the only option.

You have an in-group you support and "identify" with, and an out-group you wish to see lose. Fans will yell and fight, as if any of it even mattered in the first place. So it is in politics as well, especially in a country that's in trouble. People can get killed for supporting the wrong ideology, "wrong" meaning a wide variety of arbitrary things sometimes. Families compete by comparing eachothers' children, and the parents brag about various trivial and non-trivial things they do or don't do that make their children&their relationship much better than that of the other family's. Lying is of course used as a tool as well, in all settings where a group is trying to maintain&expand its position.

In fact the last guy I was with while I was on it had a very strong jaw lol I decided to quit it though because I just don't think it's healthy in general, but what's ironic is that the guy I'm seeing now is not very masculine and has a relatively smaller frame. I mean, I still generally do prefer more masculine men, but it's not the end all be all. I know I'm only one person, and he's referring to the general population of women, but I'm pretty confident that for us women there is a lot more that goes into what we find attractive than just where we happen to be in our ovulation cycles.

No. Stop that. What JP is saying, which is 100% true, doesn't suddenly erase the tons of risks in purity culture or repressing your sexuality to the point of vaginismus in marriage. Or hell...just a disconnect with the psyche for sex within marriage which is what my close Christian friend has been experiencing after marriage. I tried to warn her every time her and her now husband slip up and had sex before the wedding...they would tailspin into so much guilt! They would act as though they had personally injured God and I said, "you know I love you so I want to warn you...the beliefs we tell our body about sex dont just switch off overnight. Abstinence is fine but if you treat sex with him like such a mortal sin...this shame could carry on into after you say your I dos" ....and unfortunately, I was right. They're working through it though and I think they'll be fine and their case is not as bad as some where its insanely painful for the woman to have sex.
Sex is dangerous. Whether you're having it or not having it. The only answer I've found is to try to find a middle ground. No hookups or casual sex for me. But no puritanical avoidance of sex altogether. Worked out okay. I'm engaged with a healthy sexual appetite

Friend, bro or sis zoned, call it whatever they want, but I have found that the few of us that I have gotten to know so well, respect each in the way we value our own bodies.
My once best friend told me that I was 'expecting too much when I told him that I prefer a man who has not joined with a woman, that I want a virgin', knowing that I am one myself, guess he was defending the person who has fallen in the trend. Apparently I have come across as self righteous since.
Sad that it can be really easy to lose friends when the sense of values change.
Religion or not, I hate to think that I am expected to share my man with another woman. And since I haven't found one, more so one I can connect with. Might as well try enjoying this life as a hermit.
Also the number of dislikes on this post is surprisingly low, a fairly pleasant sight ☺️

Weston A Price did his study some eighty years ago that showed the change in jaw width from broad to narrow with crowding of the teeth was related to changes from traditional diets to processed food with the advent of canned goods starting during the American civil war or about one generation

@@tensionascension601 well, i tried it a few months ago when i was battling porn addiction. i was able to successfully abstain for about 3.5 weeks. i felt no change as many proclaim to be feeling a mental satisfaction, i felt very tense and anxious whenever i would interact with a girl. upon deeper inspection as to why i failed, i found no scientific evidence for this, i found that nofap movement was a moneymaking scheme by some persons company and that all this retention and abstain bullshit is utter crap.

It’s just like making fun of people who don’t have a boyfriend or girlfriend, making fun of them when they aren’t attractive enough .What’s wrong with not being attractive , what’s wrong with not sleeping around. It’s completely the opposite.

In general, I don't judge and people who have sex casually don't surprise me. I'm not disgusted by sexuality or anything, but I just wouldn't be able to let myself go so easily. For me, being physically naked makes me perhaps even more vulnerable than being emotionally naked. Both of those, tho, are extremely important to me and I like to keep them to myself until I feel entirely comfortable with someone. I understand that some people can be relaxed about these things, but I don't understand it when they're weirded out when I say I'm not as comfortable.
I'm not saying "no sex before marriage" or "no sex at all" but I'm rather saying: I want to get to a stage where I'm comfortable with myself first, then with my partner, and I want us to get to know eachother, rely on each other, trust and develop a bond that's going to encourage us both to open up emotionally, and only after that comfort is ensured, perhaps we could also get to know each other physically. Most people don't want to invest that much time and effort, and that's ok, and I can move on- and it doesn't even bother me that much. What does bother me is people who are straight up in my face being like "oh but why didn't you have sex before" and "omg how are you still a virgin" and other stuff. Why is hookup so normalized, and someone being so intricate and careful about themselves is not normal, will forever baffle me.

The first minute where he's talks about how a woman is attracted to masculine men while ovulating was fascinating.
I'm the only woman in my social group of 5 that has never been on the pill. Whereas they have all been on it for at least 3-5 years and they are attracted to less masculine men.
I never thought of the pill affecting who you are attracted too, even though the girls have complained that over the years its lowered their sex drive and caused weight gain.

The effects of the pill on attraction has been majorly disproved in a massive longitudinal study by Ben Jones and Lisa DeBruine (at the University of Glasgow).

Okay, just finished reading it. Good study. Just published last year so Dr. Peterson may not have been aware of it, or this lecture was even before it came out. One of the things I am proud of is being Muslim. I’m 27 years old never slept with anyone, because I’m not married yet. And having a relationship with a girl without holding all responsibilities by having her with me or she having me with her doesn’t fit my life. For me, this is not about having sex it’s about attachment and life sharing. And I’m thankful that I did not experience the feel of sleeping with the wrong person, Imagine if they were people not just one person!. God!.

I honestly think not sleeping around is starting to arise as a counterculture. Sometimes you see attractive people and would think about how many people they might have slept with when in reality it's zero. Too many preconceived notions nowadays

While on the pill I had no desire for sex at all and even trying to go there for the sake of maintaining relationship with my husband was difficult as I couldn’t even get turned on. I also had no idea what was up and that there was a connection to the pill I thought it was because I was tried due to new baby and there was something radically wrong with me. It effected my whole mood too and I only realized the connection when I came off it years later. It’s a horrible drug with lots of side effects for women that they take because they don’t want multiple pregnancies but there is a pay off against just not feeling quite yourself, lack of sex drive , weight gain,
    & depression.
