For those interested in these pipes and watching you tube video on them. They sound awesome and they are much LOUDER in person than in any videos on here. If you do not want LOUD pipes I suggest you get the quiet baffles for them when you order. Personally, I love the sound and how loud they are..... It is what most of us want on our bikes when we order these. You won't be disappointed.
I'm running these on my '17 Fatboy. Similar install, huge difference in sound and look. Btw, I live about 8 miles from you, great seeing videos of a lot of the same roads I ride. Great vids bro'.
I had those very same slip-ons on my wide glide before I got the 2 into 1 V&H. I loved them. They're sitting on the shelf waiting on the next project to come along. As always, great job!
I took the stock slip ons off my bike to see what it would sound like and i knew it would run rough and hot. After i put them back on it idles high about 1100-1200 rpm and sounds like i might have am exhaust leak. Did i damage the head pipe gasket wiggling them off?
@@robertdablemont8131 Thanks that’s awesome! I placed the order for the slip ons, to go onto my sportster xl1200 custom 09 in SungloRed color. Love the bike but stick is just bloody quiet 🤫
Bike N' Bird do you need a gasket for the new slip ons? When i removed the stock on mine they had the on. But the new set doesn’t have any just the clamps. Do i need to order a set before installing them?
I have slip ons for my fxd that are not being used. They fit on my wifes 1200 custom but I modified support brackets underneath for better fastening the bar that holds them together. Question is other than bracket mod, is muffler gonna function the same, regardless of engine size, difference ?? They sound amazing, but don't want super lean condition. Thanks
Be aware that on 2018 models, especially the Softail Low Rider, mufflers are held on the bracket by allen head bolts that are almost impossible to get to. Only 1/2" socket use is for loosening the flange to the head pipes. Muffler bracket is also allen heads.
Same pipes I am planning on putting on, do the come with new heat sheild clamps and or are the stock heat sheild clamps reusable given the smaller diameter of the straight shot v stock?
Bike N' Bird I know they have medium and large clamps ( all I can think of tho call them right now is hose clamps) and the diameter of the stock pipes is much greater than the slip ons. I just wanted to make sure I would have everything needed for the project, or I I needed other parts.
I'm finding the older I get, the more I like the stock pipe sound as well. Great video! 👍
Probably takes a ton of time to edit these ... but they really are some of the best how-to's and reviews out there ...
Everyone thinks that but suprisingly enough they take less time than the build series.

Do you need to retune the bike or air filter change?

Do they have baffles
Very well done video, BnB! Nice work - well planned/organized and put together.
Anyway I can find these for a 2002? I can't seem to find them.
The pipes are nice and loud...how much did you recess the heat shields
Great job! any new t-shirt or sweat shirt designs coming soon???
Thank you, I just installed the straight shots on my 2014 street Bob and this helped big time.
Did you have to tune the bike and change air filter?
@@Deon0026yickadee No I did not, I do get a little bit of deceleration pop and it feels a bit more peppy, but the 103 for me has plenty of power.

Same process on an iron 883 . or taking off support bracket ? Thanks bro
Me too ,Do you have to dyna tune or worry about the fuel pack?
+Thomas Clark negative. You don't NEED to tune until you change intake

Awesome. Nasty growl without being obnoxious.
Those are some nice pipes. Would be "jazzy" painted black
Mr. Motard Jazzzyyyy indeed!
Great "How To" BnB!! Very detailed, as well as easy to follow.

How it work out I’m about to do this on my 1200
GREAT, EASY TO FOLLOW... thanks. 👍
Great video thanks a ton it’s gonna help me out when I install my set
Great video Brother. Very helpful.
If you're putting on slip ons do you need to tune the bike afterward?
HoustonTX as long as you don't remove the baffles or mess with the intake, no.
+HoustonTX Aaron is correct. a tune is more crucial after changing the intake
They sound great and thanks for showing how to install them.
+tccoup355 thanks man!
way better bro u really make me think about put in those on I have the same bike.
Really great install. Helped a lot

Hello. I just bought a 18 Custom 1200. Looking for a better muffler. One that has Rumble. But not Obnoxious. Neighbors would call the police on me.
Nice how to!
Thanks going to get them as soon as possible .
I love this video. Thanks👍
Perfect vid for the novice. Thanks
Good
You forgot the *This video sponsored by DynaMobbin* cred. C'mon bruh.
Same pipes I am planning on putting on, do the come with new heat sheild clamps and or are the stock heat sheild clamps reusable given the smaller diameter of the straight shot v stock?
+Phillip Isaacson are you referring to the header pipes or the muffler heat shields?
Bike N' Bird , the muffler heat sheilds.
Bike N' Bird I know they have medium and large clamps ( all I can think of tho call them right now is hose clamps) and the diameter of the stock pipes is much greater than the slip ons. I just wanted to make sure I would have everything needed for the project, or I I needed other parts.
+Phillip Isaacson ah I gotcha. I bought mine used but the slip ons come with their own heatshields and their own hose clamp style clamps
Bike N' Bird cool
Thank you, that was the piece of information that I was missing.
Thank you! Sounds cool.
Sounds good!
