A wonderful presentation. Jane’s thoughts and images attest to the bounty of compositional opportunities that nature provides. Leica M quality need not be limited to the urban landscape.
If you come to Montreal, you can visit the first ever church built, dating from 1655 (Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel), it also has many ships suspended from the ceiling. Bring your Leica and enjoy!!
I own 3 Leica’s and love them all. I find that there are many things I can live without in this society but beautifully made equipment I cannot live without.
Britany is one of the most wild French region in some ways and used to be one of the poorest. Currently it's (my and) the French's favorite region as well as a high rate of tourism. Living in Britany and shooting with a M11 is a dream. I can understand the pleasure you had. Marc, from France (M262 owner)
I once watched an old BBC documentary about a 2nd world war German Ace. In reply to the question if the Spitfire was a better plane than a ME 109 ? He replied that on paper the Spitfire was the superior plane, but the ME109 fitted him like a glove. I think we all know what he meant. I agree,my Leica M cameras become an extension of my body, but so do my Olympus OM5 and EM1MKIi. Photography becomes effortless.
The very first woman in the series that actually does know how to hold, handle a Leica M camera. Not just a marketing show like the previous women shown in this channel who did not have the slightest clue how to hold, how to use a M camera model!
Great video and commentary. I've lived here in Brittany for the past 17 years and only now hear from you about ships in churches. May I ask you please, you seemed to work with a 50mm lens.. Is it because it's the nearest t the human eye in terms of field of vision? or some other reason. Next time you're here I'd love to spend a little time with you and my M8.2 .. with 35 asph, and 50 collapsible, I'm sure that I'd learn so much. Thanks for sharing your view of my home.
No doubt Leica is a nice camera - I had the m8 for some years. But the whole thing about mirror and losing the subject does not make sense at all. It’s just a nice tool that’s all. You will take the same pictures with a DSLR.

@@pelicula9779 It's true that Leica doesn't create its own sensors. But, the ones they use are created 'with' Leica and designed and calibrated to work with Leica bodies and lenses. It means that the sensor in your SONY is not the same as the one in your Leica. What's in your Leica will only be found in your Leica. SONY make some really great cameras. So do Leica. But they're different cameras, with different sensors, and different output. What you choose is based on what you like, and what you're willing to pay.
The way she advertise is as old as her, what a joke for the sight block by the camera on dslr….even worse from her and left eye focus….seriously Leica, who’s your communication manager……
Beautiful and elegant photography. One of the best videos from Leica.
I love how they bless the ships, and have ship images and miniatures in the churches. Thanks.

When using your right eye, you are even more in touch with the environment and your subjects 😃

I'm not sure about the camera, but I certainly want to move to Brittany !!🤘
Leica’s are beautiful, and Leica are the masters of marketing. But £10,000 for a body and one 50mm lens is beyond obscene.
If I had that amount of money, I''l probably get a medium format kit, instead :D

Great video and I see she is using one of those famous Newswear Chestvests to carry her gear.
Gorgeous
Hi.
How do you focusing the moving subject with Leica M 11 ?
Zone focusing, hyperfocal
the basic explanation is you set a focal distance on the lens @ a certain fstop. everything after that distance should be in focus.
Thank you 🙏
You don’t.

I'm spending 3 weeks on vacation this next summer in Bretagne, I hope to come back with lots of great photos and some videos.
interesting that she shoots with her left eye to the camera. i guess you can do that with a rangefinder!
...I have done so for over 30 years - and I also wear glasses! Not a problem.
Love it
