My great nephew has PWS (prader willi syndrome) his also started around 18 months. Luckily they were able to get a diagnosis around 5yrs old. He did start to gain weight very rapidly, he is behind mentally but such a sweet loving boy. His parents make sure to have snacks on hand at all times and he is welcome to snack but his choices are very calorie controlled, very amount controlled and healthy options. That has helped tremendously.
I hope Peter can get the help he needs!

It's prader willi syndrome and from what I've seen the description is accurate. I've seen documentaries about it too.

Nowadays they have names and illnesses for fat people. There may be a couple of legit illnesses but what it comes down to is.......lots people over eat, and then want to make excuses for their weight being out of control. Here in America it's really bad. Fat people are considered disabled, so they ride in wheelchairs, and carts, and all they do then is get fatter.

This poor baby. My heart. :( I feel for the mom and feel bad that she’s facing so much criticism.. as a mother myself, I would find it very hard to deal with the fact that my child probably won’t have a fulfilling life because they’re non verbal and have other issues .. so as a result of her (most likely) feeling this way she’s probably over feeding to somehow make up for this, she probably blames herself for his issues and doesn’t know how else to deal.
I agree. :( It’s so sad. You can teach a Neurotypical child to deal with their emotions and tantrums by teaching them how to communicate better and express themselves. But with a child who can’t do that, it must be so exhausting that you can’t help but to give in just to stop the tantrums.
When he grows up he's going to feel really bad and understand what happened to him.

Stop judging this mom people...you all need to educate yourself on prader willie syndrome (it is no joke and has very unique challenges)..i had to learn about this syndrome for my 2nd state board and its heartbreaking. He has it they need additional testing!!
NIKKI STAHR he may or may not have it. Doctors have seen him and determined he does not have it. For you to make a diagnosis online, without this child being your patient is ridiculous. Yes he may just need additional testing, but that shouldn’t come from a commenter from UA-cam.

Thank you for giving her the benefit of the doubt. And I would agree, I think this boy does indeed have prader-willie. Certain genetic disorders include development of specific physical features, and his facial features and classic prader-willie.

She seems really loving but love is being strong for your children who are hurting or unable to reason properly. A 4 year old should never be drinking from a baba. Ever. Say no to him. It’s ok for him to cry a little- he’ll learn if you teach him. It’s tough being a parent. No one is perfect.

Im only 15 years and 11 months old, and 5'7.25 at 155lbs. I didnt reach his weight until i was about 10 years old. This kid is 9 now, but i believe this kid is probably 170lbs right now. If this kid doesnt get his weight together, then he is gonna end up on the my 600lb life by the time he reaches 18. Hope that doesnt happen

For those saying it is the mum’s fault, if you watch the other videos you’ll know that he has meltdowns daily until he vomits and will even end up eating non-food items because he feels like he’s starving all the time (because of his condition). He also has a slowed metabolism so even if he ate a normal amount he’d still be overweight.

I have a lil sis like this, she’s only just turning 2 and she’s 50lbs and wearing size 7 in toddler clothes. Anyway, she throws huge fits if I cook her normal food and only eats like junk. Or goes on hunger strike and refuses to eat.. it sucks!! Because I told my mom if it keeps up like this she’s gonna be over weight and my mom says “Your just being a jerk to her, she’s a baby. It’s okay to be a lil chunky” but there’s a difference between chubby cheeks and a huge stomach. When your stomach is expanding like that and your don’t feel satisfied anymore, you just eat and eat non stop..

First of all this is disgusting this boy is 8 years old today and the fact that his parents reached out to the doctors for help instead of doing it themselves is twice as wrong as before the parents have publicly scared their boy for life and if he’s in school today then anyone who’s bullying him if they come across this video they will have something new to bully him about what about protecting children’s rights their situations obesity or not are confidential and should be kept private ( between parent and child ) not to mention the doctors are at fault to because they aired the video clips of this boys daily life and the amount of food he consumed as much as what exactly he’s eating is wrong. The right way to handle this is for the mother to take her son by the hand and tell him “ look your weight is starting to scare me we need to make changes in that so I’m gonna get you dressed and we are going to the grocery stores and start buying healthier food that’s good for you so you’ll start losing the weight “
