Oh, hell yes. I've been hoping to see more coverage of this game on here. Out of all the non-AoS games you've shown this is the one I've actually gotten into.
@@2Tough I love it too but that mainly comes from my love of Skyrim. I'd consider it but I don't have the money and if I did I'm not sure who I'd play with and who would actually play with me and I'd have to get two armies to actually have a game. One thing is for sure I'm Legion all the way. Praise be to the Emperor, Death to the Thalmor and long live Talos the Shezzarine and successor to Lorkhan known also as Shezzar and Shor true god of humanity and the Empire along with all Imperials and Nords
I am getting my spouse into the game where she plays out Drauger in delve mode, so she is the A.I. and she enjoys it.....trying to thwart my attempt of dungeon crawling.
Very helpful video! I watched it closer to when it came out, but just re-watched now as I was ready to take the plunge and order some Elder Scrolls stuff from Modiphius. I hope you'll remember to produce some more videos on this game but I know you've got a lot on your plate already! I'll still keep my eye out, though. ;-)
Great review, I stumbled across your channel looking for reviews of this book and I really appreciated this review and have subscribed… I’d like to see game play videos, faction reviews and getting started guides. I watched a few videos already but see a few differences in rules interpreting across them all which is why I seem to see mixed reviews. My son (15) actually bought us this game and it’s his first war game so I’d love to see more content for it. Thanks
I could never get past the awful original core rules book. The rules themselves were fine, but they were presented in the least readable fashion possible, more comparable to design notes than an actual rule book. There was also no reason to have the game box that size, it was about 50% empty space
Tbf, theyre currently redoing the rulebook to make it easier to get into. Existing players will be able to get the new book for free + shipping. So thats pretty cool.
The Elder Scrolls Online Cinematic Heroes, is what the pack is called. Hopefully that should help you out mate. Comes with the 3 heroes from ESO and the King of Worms.
I bought the starter set and a bunch of the minis when it originally launched. I found the game to be very finicky, lots of tokens and card management. I also didn't appreciate that they switched my plastic mini preorder to resin minis.
Dark Brotherhood with an army and as a player faction? I'm sorry I've played Skyrim for over 2000 hours and played thru the entire Dark Brotherhood Questline there are only 8 people part of the group add three more if you join and knock the number down to two if you choose to destroy the organization yourself as the player. Where on Nirn is the Dark Brotherhood getting an Army from much less one that can even compete with the Legion and the Stormcloak traitors. The Draugr I get as a faction its just the undead dragon cults come back to life to fight for Alduin and the Dragons but the Dark Brotherhood with an army by the time of Skyrim no. Great game concept though and good tabletop option otherwise but the Dark Brotherhood as a faction is a mistake and were I to play this I'd refuse to take an Dark Brotherhood match ups for lore reasons. The Draugr and Stormcloaks are fair game for the Legion to fight as the latter are at war with them and the former are just everywhere in Skyrim you can even add mods for making Draugr war parties that come out to cause problems.
in addition to the characters have models, there are also generic assassins called "Assassin in training" or something. Its a simple way to bring in a few cheaper bodies.
@@2Tough If they are anything like the random DB assassins that attack you in Skyrim randomly then they are functionally fodder. Speaking of I wonder how many people Astrid actually recruited to kill the Dovahkiin and one of the greatest mysteries of Skyrim is why does the Dovahkiin have a bounty to begin with as an attack like that can happen just after leaving Helgen for the first time. Actually did happen to me once but Hadvar killed the Assassin before I could
@@2Tough Thanks for the reply. I ordered the core book a few boxes of plastic minis and the civil war book too. Wanted a solo game to use all my AOS terrain and pats with, I am excited to give this a shot. Thanks for all your videos by the way I just love your AOS lore while I paint.

Awesome!!! I have a few things already written up for it!

Would be great if you could do a how to play solo video doug. I've tried but not sure I got it right.
Guerilla miniatures on UA-cam has some solo play throughs.
He has some great ones, thank you for shouting him out!
I absolutely plan on a step by step list w/ round checklist :)
@@moof1315 yes I've seen some of them but if you don't understand the how to play part first they're a bit hard to follow
@@2Tough that'd be great 👍.
Plus how to vids are guaranteed hits lol
Also praise be the nine, long live the Empire and death to the Thalmor and the Stormcloaks

In reference to Ulric lamecloak heroes don't butcher children.
I agree :)
Do they plan to release dragons?
Anyone tell you that you resemble Brian Dennehy?

FIRST!
Praise Talos!
"Trust in me, Whiterun! Trust in Doug! For I am the chosen of Talos! I alone have been anointed by the Ninth to spread his holy word!"

Would you recommend the resin or plastic models? I am looking to get into this.
Definitely plastics, they are just easier to work with :)
