People keep making the mistake thinking Ngannou outwrestled Gane. Nah... he overpowered him. Subtle but huge difference.

Ciryl is a very big athletic man that after having Francis do what he did and now going against Jon will undoubtedly be training wrestling. This will be a hard fight for Jon not a walk in the park. I’m excited to watch this and of course Valentina showing her dominance again.
You can’t train wrestling in one camp. It’s like BJJ. It takes years of dedicated training to get good at it.

Why anyone thinks that the goat will "struggle" against gane is "batcrap cra cra" Jon will be the Heavyweight champ for the next 5 years. He will make 100+ million dollars and cement himself as the "greatest mma fighter of all time" And he will be arrested twice in the next 5 years and stripped of the HW Belt at least twice in the next 5 years. Jon is the greatest problem of all time and the greatest MMA fighter of all time. Both paths can be true.

Can’t wait. Gane really is a harder challenge for Jones then Francis. Francis had to turn into a wrestler because he could not strike with gane.He would not be able to strike with Jones and he would not be able to out wrestle Jones.

i hate comments like this that completely ignore the fact that ngannou is 290lbs and significantly stronger than jones.
I really see Uncle Dana and the UFC setting this up for Gane to win and be called ONE of the BEST or the BEST heavyweight. Because UFC & many people say my guy Jon “Bones” Jones is the GOAT (I AGREE with him being the GOAT.). So, if Gane wins they will say he BEAT the GOAT. Then you know what happens right? Then two fight with all four in the top 15 and lastly have the Suga Shane vs someone on the main card.

He effectively uses his range with spear like leg kicks and punches, I do not believe Jon Jones reach will make much of a difference at all. Unless Jon Jones heavyweight status has him honed a new ability for knockout power, his strike game will not be on the same level, and if Ciryl Gane can up his takedown defense, Jon Jones will struggle to take him down.

Jones was always a heavyweight, and most of his wins in his 'legendary' run were vs guys that could've been fighting at middleweight.
His biggest talent was weight cutting and his biggest assets were reach and leverage. Gustaffson fight showed what happens when reach and leverage advantages are not that big. We'll se what happens when he fights other heavyweights...

Great video. Francis wrestled Gane because his knees were shot and that’s why his hands didn’t fly.
His hands did fly but he missed quite a lot and it’s nothing new, many guys miss against Gane because of the footwork/athleticism

He KO’d Bigi Boy who is a highly competent and accomplished kickboxer. Gane is very good, and very 1 dimensional. Good speed, boxing and footwork. Zero wrestling skills and doesn’t have the fight IQ of Jon Jones.

- Cody will impress, not high-level opponent, but anyway
