This is so great. Up to 5 years ago I played a number of times with a 95 year old golfer here in Australia (Cecil, who was a former commando in the 2nd World War). He was still a really good player but he always struggled on the back 9 for understandable reasons. Unfortunately his wife died and he went downhill quite rapidly and died within a few months. Still think of him occasionally and this video brought memories of him back.
This was awesome! Sid is the man! He is in PHENOMENAL shape for 101 years old. Hope you can sit down with him and show him the video and read the comments to him.
By far my favorite golf content video on UA-cam, EVER!! Reminded me of my grandfather who's no longer on this earth. He flew 37 missions in a bomber in WWII. He would have been the same age as Sid and I wonder if they possibly knew each other. My grandfather and I used to play golf together when I'd go visit him in NJ or when he'd come down to visit me in AL. Brought back a lot of good memories. Awesome video Henry and thanks for bringing back some great memories for me. Keep up the great work and I wish you much success!
Sid:centurian, veteran patriot, comedian and philosopher... what a wonderful video... well done Henry. I had the pleasure of occasionally playing with the legend that is Dr.Bob in Thailand when he was around 95. These guys are inspiring!
Incredible video, Henry! Sid reminds me of my old neighbor growing up, Vick, that got me into golf around 12 years old - he was 96! We built a great friendship, & were both lefties. He gave his wife explicit instructions that when he passed, he wanted to make sure that I got his clubs since I didn't have my own, he was an amazing guy! They were old MacGregor's & all the woods & driver were persimmons with the screws & the irons were blades that looked like butter knives - I absolutely loved them & didn't know better as far as the irons being the blades of all blades. Not sure how I got them to work, learning with blades, but he taught me well! Always respect your elders, especially on the course, they can teach you more than you know about the game. Shout-out Sid, he seems like someone I'd love to play a round with & listen to his stories. Vick would tell me about some crazy stories from WWII, RIP. Lesson of the day - don't underestimate people because they're old, that just means they have far more experience than you do. Thank you for this video, it reminded me of all the fun rounds I played with Vick! 🫡⛳️
Getting to play with a living legend is a gift from God. He's forgotten more than any of us know. The great thing is you treated him that way, as he deserved. Tip of the cap to you Henry. i know it meant a lot to you now, but 20 years from now you may look back on this video as one of the greatest things you ever made and experienced.
My Grandpa STARTED playing Golf at age 77. He played well past 90 and could shoot his age. But, when had had shoulder problems he switched back to his first love, Bowling. LOL. What a great Man! I started when I was about 8 and am still playing 60 years later. I hope to play well past 90 like my Grandpa
That was gold. A sense of humour but could add in honest heart-felt advice when asked. I very much enjoyed. "Think before you speak". And "put the hurtful stuff behind, if you can". Man those words rang in my ears. Thank you Sid. Thanks Henry and team.
I have watched hundreds of UA-cam golf videos over the years. This one is easily my favorite. Had a smile on my face the whole time. Thanks Henry for such a wholesome video. And thank you Sid for your service to our country. I wasn’t subscribed before. I am now.
I have always loved hearing about you tube golfers wanting to grow the game of golf. What an amazing thing to have this 101 year old gentleman still playing and growing as a player. Loved where he talked about wishing he could spin the ball. What a video. Wonderful idea!
Wow! Henry, you’re a remarkable young man. When my granddad turned 80 he retired from his furniture biz that he had owned and operated for 40+yrs. Golf was his passion. He always used to tell me that if he died after watching a 20 footer sink on hole number 9 at our local course that he would be a happy man. He passed away at home after a morning of great golf. I know he was happy. What a GREAT GAME!
Great Video, Sid was awesome. Henry you were a gracious host and respectful. See if you can find 90-100 year old women to play golf, that would be gold.
This is one of my new favorite videos on UA-cam! This is special and proves (even though I already knew) you're not only a great golfer, but a great guy too! Keep it up!
Loved every second of this video. Sid is a marksman. Hits it straight as an arrow. Most impressed w the fact that he can still bend over and pluck the ball out of the hole at 101. At 73 I use a suction cup on the end of my putter to do so. Also my winter condo is nearby Ponciana GC. After the pandemic greens fees in the WPB area have skyrocketed so this is my affordable go to golf course and as a consequence I could relate to every shot that was played here. Very tough to make putts here as shown by both of these guys.
This is legit one of the coolest golf videos I’ve seen on youtube. And you’re right, nobody is doing anything like this! Sid is the man and it was awesome that you got to showcase his game at 101! That’s the dream dude🤙
This is amazing! Sid is a legend, and I'm inspired to see him playing. Sometimes I feel old at 41 so this gives me hope that I can play this game and enjoy life for a good many years if I'm lucky. I bet hes got some amazing stories.
That was awesome. Much respect. Im only half his age and starting to play now and feel my age all the time. His straight shot every time is gold. He probably would of beat me straight up.
I've watched all the top UA-cam golfers. Bryson,Grant. Finch etc. But this is right up there . Not just for the golf ,but watching the older generation still getting out there and enjoying the game. Doesn't matter the score . Well done Sid . And thumbs up Henry 👍👍👍❤️
What a great day out! This reminds me of my golf mentor Jack, he passed a few years back now. He used a full bag, everything went about 150yds. It was great to watch and he was fun company. "STRAIGHT IS LONG!" He would say. Around the greens he was an absolute sniper. He introduced me to a pitching iron and then1 iron. I miss him.
Sid reminds me of my grandpa! He was obviously a tad younger at 86 when he passed. But man I could see them hanging out! Miss you grandpa and love you!
This was awesome !! More guys should have old fart’s play with them !! There funny and full of knowledge.. And funny as hell !! If you had just old farts, your channel would blow up 😂 I’m 72 and love ❤️ golf ⛳️
Probably the best video on UA-cam in years. Henry, you have earned an enormous amount of respect from doing this. Too many people today think that the elderly are washed up. This man in spite of physical challenges has a keen mind and plays the game we all love so much. I truly believe this can be the beginning of a niche for your videos. Not everyone who watches UA-cam is a teenager and most don't hit 300+ yards, so this was a wonderful change-of-pace. Kudos once again !!!!
My father lost his leg above the knee in a motor accident at 65. He was a very good amateur. He continued playing golf on a short par three course walking and using a cane with his wife caddying. We would go out a couple times a year on regulation par 72 course on which he was a former club champion. He would ride along as I played. Every once in awhile he’d hit a shot for fun. At the age of 90 he said I think I’m going to play 9 with you. Now remember he has an artificial leg and is unable to turn off it and uses a cane to walk. He played the white tees at 6,300 yds. He shot a 43 on the front nine. Then had to quit because he couldn’t continue. This maybe the most amazing 9 holes I’ve ever witnessed.
Amazing 🥳 Hope I can get close to Sid's age and still be able to enjoy a round of golf!! What a blessing to be that age and still be mentally sharp. 🙌 🙏🏼
My Aunt doesn't play golf but she is pushing 106 still lives by herself and gets around with just a cane. Great stuff. How funny if Sid was driving and forgot about Henry and drove off with out him ? Golf Gold
I would take my 87 year old friend golfing here in North Carolina. He never left the fairway. His eyes were bad so I would tell him where it went off the tee. From the senior tees he shot 99 the last time. It made my day to discuss the past in the cart those rounds. Henry that was a fun watch. You and Grant are great role models.
This is why i love golf as a sport. No matter your age or health you can still generally play. The handicap system then still makes it competitive for any age or skill set. Love this video keep on swinging sid
I'm remembering the match with Henry and DOD King at this course (or similar) and got me thinking how hilarious it would be if DOD played Sid straight up and talked his talk against Sid. Hit some calve slaps after putts 😂
Great example of playing the proper tees. Sid's tempo, although age related, perfectly embodies that. Club up, swing easy, score better. Easy game😂 Hopefully there's a fine young man taking the time to play a round with me at that age(or younger). If I'm still kicking! Good on you Henry!!
It’s refreshing to see a video like this to remind me to not take the game as serious as I do sometimes. Sometimes it’s just about being out there and being able to play and hit it. Not chase a score. This is a good reminder I’m gonna take into my next round. Sid is the man!
Press the subscribe button, Henry is such a nice guy. This video is my favorite so far. Sid is a very polite old man from whom we young ones can learn a lot. Thank you Henry for showing us with this video how important it is that the generations stand together. Greetings from Vienna, Austria .
This is gold.
This video deserves Grant Horvat type views ❤
W’s!
Grant , really enjoy your content , you guys are killing it lately , good to see Henry’s channel doing well !
Absolutely
Grant and Sid vs Busta Jack 2v2 let's go!!!!
Still playing golf at 101. He's my hero. I'm 75 now. If I am still alive and playing golf when I'm 90, I'll die a happy man.
Wishing you’re playing with Henry at 101, sir!
You’re just getting started… compared to this guy, you’re still a young pup!
Yep same here.
This is a good reminder to the youth that age will catch up with you and that we shouldn't neglect the old.
This is so great. Up to 5 years ago I played a number of times with a 95 year old golfer here in Australia (Cecil, who was a former commando in the 2nd World War). Henry - I have such grea respect for you. this is amazing and just wonderful to showcase a 101 year old gentleman. Well Done!
Sid- Someone leave a club here?
Henry- No, it’s a rake.
Loved every moment of it. God bless you.
This was awesome! Sid is the man!
He is in PHENOMENAL shape for 101 years old.
Hope you can sit down with him and show him the video and read the comments to him.
Sid is a real OG. And Henry was very respectful.
What a great attitude and personality this man has

Sid was an artist and athlete. Pre WWII
Oldest person to ever appear on UA-cam golf. Sid is a sweetheart.
Sid is a comedian, a sandbagger, humble, wisdom, and a complete joy. Thanks, Henry for a very cool and inspiring video.
Congrats to Sid for being able to play this great game at your age. God bless you and keep you healthy.

Good on you Henry you’re a gentleman. Last week with a kid this week a centenarian. Way to highlight golf is game for the young and old.
How could no one love this? I’m 63, and unfortunately can not play any more. What a young stud!
I have always loved hearing about you tube golfers wanting to grow the game of golf. What an amazing thing to have this 101 year old gentleman still playing and growing as a player. Loved where he talked about wishing he could spin the ball. What a video. Wonderful idea!
Sid, what a true OG legend. Nothing gets better than this!
Wow!

Sid is a national treasure! God bless you and thank you for your service Sid!

Incredible! No words man and thanks for doing this. My dad just passed in March of this year and he was 100. 💪 ⛳️
This is freaking cool. What an amazing man Sid is. Still having his wits and being able to golf at 101. Wow
By far a gem of a video. Another proof that you will never. Be too old for golf as long as you are there to enjoy the. Game. Sid is a LEGEND.
This deserves 100k views at minimum
This is amazing! Sid is a legend, and I'm inspired to see him playing. Sometimes I feel old at 41 so this gives me hope that I can play this game and enjoy life for a good many years if I'm lucky. I bet hes got some amazing stories.
Sid is a sweetheart
Sid will be my favorite in every match 👏🏆‼️
BEST golf video Ever. Sid is down the middle ever shot. So calm and patient. Boy I could learn a lot from him. Great job Henry, making Henry the star.
That was awesome. Much respect. Im only half his age and starting to play now and feel my age all the time. His straight shot every time is gold. He probably would of beat me straight up.

Best golf vid of the year. Sid is a real role model and an awesome swing!

Henry, I loved that video. What an honor it must have been to play with such a legend. Sid still has game.
Great video Henry. Thanks for sharing Sid’s story. Sid deserves a million views. Best golf video of the year.
Best golf video ever!!! Henry, is this your golf course? If so, Sid should receive an honorary membership and never have to pay for a round of golf.
This is truly priceless. Made my day better. Thank you Henry and Down the mid Sid!
Sid reminds me of my grandpa! He was obviously a tad younger at 86 when he passed. But man I could see them hanging out! Miss you grandpa and love you!
Damn... We'll all be lucky to be playing golf into our 80s nevermind 101. This man just gave me a sense of hope.
Epic video! I hope he gets to watch this back and maybe explores the world of UA-cam golf! More of this is needed with the elder generation!
Henry, you’re a mensch and Sid is a legend. Well done to you both
Would love to play with Sid just to hear stories. Prolly my favorite golf video I’ve seen this year. Also Sid would smoke me cuz I suck at golf lol
Thanks Sid!!!! And thank you Henry! I feel honored!👏👏👏
Fantastic stuff Henry.. Gives us old people hope.. Syd is an inspiration!!!
Thanks Henry for taking the time to spend with Sid. I think your responses show how you care and respect others. Great content.
Life goals to make it as far as Sid and still be that awesome, what a legend
He played better than me 😅. Advice was a tearjerker. I'll never forget it. Good video.
I can only hope that I will be playing at 101. Sid is my hero for sure.
Amazing content and so respectable.
This was awesome !! More guys should have old fart’s play with them !! There funny and full of knowledge.. And funny as hell !! If you had just old farts, your channel would blow up 😂 I’m 72 and love ❤️ golf ⛳️

I think this video shows what a great guy you are Henry. Bigger fan now then I was an hour ago 😎

Sid's level of contentment is praiseworthy. No wonder he's still going strong.

Great video Henry! Sid gives us all hope for our golfing future! What a guy!
Sid I am a 70 year old geezer and people like you are my inspiration...in golf and in life! Henry, lets make a video!
Fantastic video.
Golf is the gentleman’s game, no matter the age.
Mutual respect from the younger gentleman and the older gentleman.
Respecting the older generation is so important. I love this video of Sid and you playing. Just subscribed to your channel.
Enjoyed this video. Henry you did a great job on this video. I play golf with Syd and he really is sweetheart.
Sid is my HERO!!!!!
most impressive thing i’ve seen in a minute how sharp this man is at over 100 let alone playing golf is insane 👏
Sid needs his own channel, what an absolute legend. Henry has found his niche in the UA-cam space with the over 80 crowd.
Great idea and excellent video! Sid is a treasure. Lots of fun in this Hen❤
I not only liked it, I loved it! Awesome!
This is why i love golf as a sport. No matter your age or health you can still generally play. The handicap system then still makes it competitive for any age or skill set.
Love this video keep on swinging sid
Sid with great genes to have a golf game and has a great memory and seems as sharp as a 65 year old
Absolutely wonderful… Thank you Henry for putting this on. This is truly a highlight of my week to see this. You were both awesome.
Thanks for making this inspiring video man. Thanks to Sid for motivating for all ages and some life tips. Wish you both best wishes. ❤
The fact he can still bend down to get the ball. Gold! Go Sid!!
Gives us all hope!!! Loving Syd!!!
I'm remembering the match with Henry and DOD King at this course (or similar) and got me thinking how hilarious it would be if DOD played Sid straight up and talked his talk against Sid. Hit some calve slaps after putts 😂
My hero..you did a great Job..and Sid stole the show.
Great example of playing the proper tees. Sid's tempo, although age related, perfectly embodies that. Club up, swing easy, score better. Easy game😂
Hopefully there's a fine young man taking the time to play a round with me at that age(or younger). If I'm still kicking! Good on you Henry!!
I love “Down the Mid Sid” great content Henry
This is amazing. This what they say GOLF is a game a lifetime for 101 years old.
I always tell people that golf is a game or a lifetime
Recently an elderly man in my home club celebrated his 90th birthday and it was a blast .
It’s refreshing to see a video like this to remind me to not take the game as serious as I do sometimes. Sometimes it’s just about being out there and being able to play and hit it. Not chase a score. This is a good reminder I’m gonna take into my next round. Sid is the man!
What a legend! He is a true inspiration
😂😂😂 “i have no idea where it is” and ball goes over the water almost on the green❤
i once played golf with a ww2 vet...like sid, he was dead straight with his driver...amazing what proper technique can do....
Press the subscribe button, Henry is such a nice guy. This video is my favorite so far. Sid is a very polite old man from whom we young ones can learn a lot. Thank you Henry for showing us with this video how important it is that the generations stand together. Greetings from Vienna, Austria .
That gentlemen is what golf is all about. Thanks for sharing...
this made my day Henry!
