We had one pop up in the yard two Samhain's back. So we celebrated around the ring and only stepped inside to place the Cat Sidhe's bowl of milk in its center before taking our celebration inside. He must have approved because we had the most abundant year on this farm we've ever had. The fruit trees were bursting with fruit and our mama cows had lots of calves!
You walk a thin line with the Fae Chris but I think the Wee Folk know your heart is in the right place so that shines through. Bless you in that but still exercise caution whenever you can. The Fae are a fickle and truly odd bunch at best. Even when you think your doing favors and being a friend of the Good People sometimes it can still back fire on you in the most unfortunate tragic ways leaving you confused and dismayed at times. Been there done that still to this day. Have a fantastic week my friend and keep your head in the clouds brother. 😇🍄🍀👍
@@Optio-the11thblackhorseman I have the astronauts attitude. Dangerous...sure. But I'm willing to face the danger in exchange for the experiences with them I've had. I always ask myself "What would Merlin or Gwydion do?"...and I know they would face them with bravery and positive intentions. That being said I'm sure I'll be found dead on a fairy mound someday like Robert Kirk. And I'm ok with that....actually kind of prefer that. Have a good week also my friend! Peace...
I’ve seen them made of mushrooms many times. I’ve never stepped in them though. I was afraid I would disappear lol❤️🤗🐝
I know of a dairy ring on the direct route between two building. It is in an area where you would not expect people to be aware of the superstation. The people in the area, lets just say they had trouble following rules. I had two supervisors walk through my building and out the back door. They were just chatting away. When they came to the ring they simply continued their walk but passed around the ring. I actually can not recall anyone actually step into it. That does not mean it did not happen. Just I never saw it. When I mentioned it to the two supervisors, they had no idea of the area I was referring to.

It is said that all Faerie rings are connected into a network type system and always has a tiny Faerie guard and/or the site is being watched during the day closely. When I happen upon one I give it a wide berth normally after admiring its beauty. However if it is damaged in any way I try to fix it as best as I can and leave a bit of fruit or veggie outside its borders for good measure. Great episode Ms. Kitty.
Yes...gifts seem to be the best was to apologize to them. They love demonstrative things and hate being told things like "sorry" or "thank you" from humans. Things they see as useless.
@@pentegarn1 Indeed. I once found a couple of rocks seemingly painted by little kids and knick knacks arranged with this and that in the back forty and thought it was kids and stuff so I tossed them all in a dry river bed to clean it up and headed home. Later it occurred to me that it may have been a Faerie altar of sorts or more over as a matter of fact actually was a tribute to me as a gratitude for my labors in the forest. In a panic I rushed back out to put it all back where I found it. Unfortunately I only found one of the two stones in question so I replaced it very nicely, placed it in a superior location, added fruit, veggies, flowers, shiny things, cheap jewelery and a cute tiny little knife with a sheath as my sincerest apology. Understand I rarely do this type of honoring of the Fae normally. However it was appropriate in this situation I felt. This is representative of how you say sorry in a deliberate fashion to the Fae- actions not words are greatly appreciated in the Kingdoms of the Wee Folk. Could it have been just kids, sure. But if I was wrong the consequences are very grave you know so it is best to err on the side of caution in these matters where you already know that the Fae frequent the area already. Have you received Faerie gifts on occasion too? That's fun and I always reciprocate. However I rarely bring them home and into my residence because the possibility of them being imbued by Faerie magic and/or a generalized hex is quite powerful. Yes you can sterilize the items with Sea salt and prayer but it's kinda a hassle. The Fae can at times be so considerate and friendly. It nice. Later bubba. 😉👍🍀🍄✝️😇

Once I went into a fairy ring then I went home and came back 5 mins later and it was gone. I live on a island
But do not ever stray into a fairy circle, or you'll be transported into the fairy realm, where you'll meet certain doom. If you dare to enter a ring, many myths warn that you will die young. You also become invisible to the mortal world. Unable to escape the ring, you might also lose an eye for your foolishness.
The reason the fay attacked the horse and usually attack people is the presence of iron. Horseshoes, plows and other farm equipment are made of iron. Iron is very deadly to fay and they will not tolerate it at any cost. If killing a horse will keep its shoes away, so be it. They had nothing against the horse itself, but they will do what they have to do.
