Because EvoX needs latest miui firmware to run. You can think of it like a base for a structure. Without the base the structure won't stand or work properly. Hence we need the latest base(firmware) in order to have the latest structure(EvoX build) get it?

Oh hell yes it's so clean that format data does all of those for you😂 From next time of doing this, you may wipe those while clean flashing. But not required at the time you format data.

Hey, i was following your guide for my K20 (Davinci), and my phone was getting stuck in a bootloop. I downloaded all files specifically for Davinci, except for the Fcrypt file, since I was not able to find anything specific for davinci. So I then tried to flash firmware and the ROM, and avoided the fcrypt file, and it seems to work for me. Can you help me find the fcrypt file for Davinci? You can download and install update through updater. No manual process needed. After fastboot flashing miui you can normally get updates and install them as you used to do with out of the box miui

When I chose one rom to move from miui to show how to move to custom roms and it's EvoX. That means it is stable enough to daily drive and wayyyyy better than miui at least for me

It depends on the vendor version. EvoX will work on all regions' Raphael devices. You need to make sure that from where you bought the device is if it says MIUI Global in miui version of your device then download Raphael Global latest firmware for your device. Check the firmware/vendor website from description
Right now it has been updated to 12.0.2 for RaphaelInInGlobal = Indian Redmi K20 Pro. Whenever you're flashing make sure to use latest otherwise you might get error 7 while flashing new roms of that time.

Most roms are good enough to daily drive with. Currently I prefer the second last EvoX build and Corvus etc

Oh hell yes it's so clean that format data does all of those for you😂
From next time of doing this, you may wipe those while clean flashing. But not required at the time you format data.

You see I'll be moving to older android version
You may end up with broken sensors due toh Android 10>9 but fastboot flashing should not be a huge issue. It should work.

Boot into fastboot, connect cable with pc. Open mi unlock and try to unlock the bootloader. If it doesn't work go check with the service center

Yes process is same. What's better is upto you. If you like less customisation go with pixel experience. Otherwise go with EvolutionX

Can we download any flashing firmware for miui 11.6 or it has to be just 12.0.1?
Right now it has been updated to 12.0.2 for RaphaelInInGlobal = Indian Redmi K20 Pro.
Whenever you're flashing make sure to use latest otherwise you might get error 7 while flashing new roms of that time.

For me EvolutionX is just perfect. Others we have PE Plus, Derpfest, Havoc etc that you can try too
no internal storage option is showing on my pc help
Reboot the recovery once. Go into the settings of recovery. Check if MTP is enabled

@@KTNTECH no bro i don't think so .. actually problem arose when i tried to clean flash while changing from 4.7 to 5.1 .. in that process i wiped the entire data, system, storage by mistake ... so after that tried to clean flash ... now internal memory is not showing ... but the device is getting recognized by pc.. any soultion?.. device is recognizing as a audio device in network location but not as internal storage .. pls help bro !
@@pawanmodupalli983 well you didn't tell me that first. Use Ofox R11. Format data. Type yes. Reboot recovery. Connect then and see

My system storage shows 21 GB while others have 12GB, 14GB and even 11GB.. why is this? I checked system_updates folder and all ota folders in recovery.. i couldn't find anything.. and funny is my Files storage shows minus 1.2 GB.. any idea?

@@MultiCj007 I also do have 20gb system storage upon seeing someone's dilemma on the telegram raphael group. Did you manage to minimize the system storage by wiping system, data, cache, dalvik?
@@icvel yeah, i backed up my files, booted to recovery the formatted data then rebooted to recovery the wiped data, system, cache, and dalvik and copied the files to phone and flashed Vendor, Evo X and Dfe file.. vola.. all set

No right now you don't need to flash it seperately. But in future when there's newer firmwares available you might need to flash that.

Very helpful guide, probably the most complete one out there. But I have some questions left.
1. Do we need to flash the latest firmware if my k20 pro is on the latest build for the custom rom ?
2. What is the difference between the fastboot firmware and the vendor + firmware zip ?
3. Do we need to flash Fcrypt disabler for Evolution X or can we skip it. Someone told me I do not need Fcrypt disabler if my phone is encrypted.

I am currently on MIUI 12.0.2 which is the latest version available. Do I have to flash any extra MIUI vendor before flashing the custom Rom?
For you as of now, nope you don't need to flash the firmware seperate, rest if you follow the video. Just make sure not to wipe vendor sperately.
@@KTNTECH Thanks cause I have faced bootloop issue few times with my K20 Pro. I was expecting the reply at tomorrow morning !! Usually this is the time when I flash Roms. At 3AM in the morning. So that I can backup all my data over the night and everything is good to go from the morning.
