Great Review Looney, after using many of chippers, and using this one as well. I think its more the physics of the trees itself, being the trees don't move freely. I would love to see a complete redo of the trees in FS, limbs move and better mechanics with loading into a chipper. The lack of a belt to feed in also compounds the issue, although that is realistic to this chipper.
Yes , I totally agree , and to your point , that should be taken into consideration . It is true that this is accurate to a real one , I have seen one not long ago . but if it does not work well with the game mechanics no one will use it . I don't mess with trees for the reasons you stated 😉 Thanks for your insight Sir 🤗
I’m actually wanted to clear some of the wooded area out for my properties, I am actually still looking for something that works pretty decent. something chips up wood that is. Might you have any ideas?
In the vehicle settings menu, turn vehicle auto start to OFF. Enter the wood chipper and start it up, unfold the chipper, turn on the chipper and exit the vehicle. Now the chipper will remain running while you feed it without anymore hassles. …and if you really want to get creative, back it up to a conveyer that is tipped slightly downward and you can drop entire trees into the thing with an excavator.😁
@@LooneyFarmGuy … keep in mind that this machine is for small stuff that you can load by hand. That being said, you are in for a lot of saw work if you are trying to chip the big logs to get them down to hand carry size…. (If it the big stuff you are wanting to chip, I recommend the JENZ HEM 583Z +CBT5 machine pack in the mod hub. It’s under forestry equipment. Just pull up to the end hitch end of the conveyer with in-feed of the chipper, it will ask if you want to attach, run it just like the others and load in the big logs… but it doesn’t like small ones.) Lastly, with the VERMEER BC 1000 XL, I have found that if I’m “log in hand” that instead of trying to feed the log into the rear of the chipper, I just walk with it into one of the SIDES of the machine and suddenly it disappears and I have instant chips shooting out the pipe…. WHICH IS SO MUCH FASTER!!! Give it a try.
I’ve been messing with this chipper for a few days now it won’t take a small branches, but it chips up logs as shown. I bought it. I’m probably going to get rid of it such a disappointment.

It makes it easier if it’s hooked up to a truck
👍
My chipper won’t stay running, any ideas? New to the game
Yes , it is one of your settings .
Go on to a map
Go to Game settings
Under " Vehicle control "
Beside Automatic Engine Start
Switch that to " OFF "

I’m thinking this chipper is -only- for logs that’s what it’s looking like
Load it from the top
🤔
I suggest learning how to use it before making a tutorial. You're supposed to load it from the side.
