I had a feeling that you might get the new olive passport, because you are the king of all things Midori/TC, and I know that you love the passport size the way I love, utilize, and always return to my A6 Hobonichi Techo. I wanted an olive (regular size), but then I received a happy mail package from Japan with a lovely brown roastery edition and many sweet, thoughtful roastery accessories. Yes, my olive is more green outside and more brown inside. The inside leather of my olive is different than all my other ones. I don’t know why. All my other ones have that short shaved fuzzy feel and look. My new olive has longer fuzz and is not shaved at all. Mine feels drier as well. My inside looks like the old midori before they changed the name.
Thanks for sharing. I'm not fond of my 2017 Olive Standard Traveler's Notebook - it looks very brown without the comparison. I 'm not fond of the 2023 Olive collection from what I have seen on UA-cam. Who knows, I may eventually get it :) So happy you like yours. BTW I have the Traveler's Company Olive Pouch/Passport. Yes, my Standard Olive is very dry, scratches very easily, and the interior colour is like yours...maybe a little more acid though. My exterior is not as green. And I really hoped for more 'green' which is why I got that Komainu Dog patch to add to the front. I also got the passport and have been reluctant to inbox it because I didn't want two disappointments in one week.
Overall, unboxings of both sizes seem to indicate that the standard is more brown, while the passport is more olive green. Open your Passport! It may in fact be the lift you need from the “not as green” standard! Enjoy 💜
Yes! As soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it. It is my first TCN! It was either the olive or the brown. I was unsure if I would like the color - some appear more brown than others. Its not an obvious greenish color until its next to brown. But I like it. I still want the brown one! I received mine and am waiting for inserts and bands to come in but I’ve been carrying it around with me for about 2 weeks! Today I cleaned/conditioned it with Feibings Leather cleaner. It looks so good! I can’t wait to fill it!! 😆 with monthly/weekly/notes inserts and a couple of dashboards. I forgot to order a pen loop but next time. Enjoy your TN. Question: do you clean yours? If so, will you do a video about it, please. Thank you!!!
I do occasionally clean my TN. I try to use something gentle. I filmed a video years ago. What I use is coach leather conditioning cleaner and moisturizer. It gently cleans the leather and the adds hydration without damaging or using harsh chemicals. I do not remember what I named the video.

You won't be sorry you got the olive passport. Passport seems to be your fallback in tough times I've noticed. And you like carrying one as a wallet. And that hasn't changed for years. Years. You're all good.
Hi Kati, yes I always go pack to passport. It's like it is my comfort size. I have been using this for 1 day and love it! I moved my wallet back into my passport. Feels like returning home.

It seems like they have a slightly different way of working the leather now. I haven’t bought a Traveler’s Company TN in a long time.

I got one too-I love it. Using it as a sticker book/ink swatch and ephemera storage, like stamped papers. It’s perfect for it.

The inside of mine is brown and looks like they stained over a different color.
Where are your monthly and weekly inserts from? They look very interesting. 😊
One place where I have been using inserts from is creffective paper. They have a wide variety of sizes and layouts. Some dates and some undated.
