i haven't caught up with the civ just yet so that's interesting to hear. as much as i love this stream, i do think it's starting to cross the line a little bit and this probably should be the last one they do, or at least tone it back a bit to how it was in the first year or 2 Edit: "crossing the line" is probably a bit harsh, but i do definitely think the constant roast thing is becoming a bit stale and is probably not the vibe they want to be going for
Yeah I am curious, I found wheelboy funny the first time, but as it gets more abusive it just becomes awkward, and weird. In the begging it was the surprise of Lewis basically coming back as the Kid from the MTG advert, but then Tom really started to amp of the hate/abuse, rather than just teasing.
The really funny thing, and what a lot of people might not know, is that Wheel Boy is actually played by Lewis Brindly who is one of the founders of the Yogscast. He is actually their boss 🤣🤣🤣

It's so much less fun to watch than it originally was. It's just awkward and not funny. I went back to watch the highlights from 2020 and 2021 - Wheel Boy used to be a cheery co-host, not an uncomfortable punching bag. Nobody seemed like they were having fun on this stream this year. They should either completely retire the bit, or thoroughly revise it for next year. Edit: Just contrast this video with two years ago. ua-cam.com/video/YY1XG0Fr9GQ/v-deo.htmlsi=kF8Gno0toCvErNR_
Nah, they're taking it too far. It's just constant complaining and insulting and not even in a funny way. It's not funny anymore. They should really rethink this sketch next year.
Seeing wheelboy get abused brings back memories of former friendships ending in flames. Makes me feel happy that I'm not the only abuse victim, keep it up!
Imagine Bouphe and Osie explaining to their mum Wheelboy is their boss, actually
Oh, not this crazy "Wheelboy is Lewis" theory again
Lewis is still in Japan
Wait is Bouphe and Osie sisters? :O
@@vierwhey It's not confirmed, they just happen to share a mother.

That fucking fade in at 30:30 is masterful
I want to see wheel boy smash the wheel and use it to threaten for cake, get the pflax cake negotiators in
I actually feel really bad for Wheelboy #cakeForWheelboy #justiceForWheelboy
Who let wheel boy make a UA-cam account?
As an aside, lewis has regretted this year's wheelboy stream and said as much in the jinglejam official civ v stream.

Do you remember when he talked about it? I just want to get more context as I couldn't watch the whole stream

I don't think you have to retire the whole bit, just adjust it a little. The whole endless roast thing doesn't really scream wit.
Also, wheelboy in poker last year was a great addition imo

Jeez, not this crazy conspiracy theory again. They’re very clearly totally different people smh 🙄
Poor old tom is turning into Ebeneezer Scrooge over here.

I absolutely feel the same. It was funny, it felt really awkward previous year and now even more.

Yeah im fed up of it. Wheelboy can stay. Or even wheeldad/man. That was good. Cba with this bit anymore.
*sighs, unzips*

Who is the terminally unfunny one, I love how whoever the scots guy is he isn't tagged in the tags because of it
