Can I just say thank you for this song? The lyrics are sad but the beat is so happy, which strangely encapsulates what I feel.
I had to let go of someone I loved because they didn't love me back, not in the way I loved them at least. I tried staying friends with them but like the song said I was "tired of pretending that everything was cool" when my heart was in shambles, and seeing them with someone new just broke me every day.
I'm still not ok, but I feel much better now that they are out of my life, now that I don't have to pretend and swallow my feelings, I think I can heal properly now.
